What are the odds of getting a 2 bedroom villa at Wilderness Lodge Dec 3-10, 2010 if I book at the 7 month window? Anybody know?

Unlikely but you could waitlist. That is a popular time for DVC resorts. What is your home resort?

My home resort is SSR, but we are taking my grandson who will be 2yrs old at the time. So we wanted to be as close to MK as possible.

Slim to none, but you can always waitlist. Book your home resort next week, and try at 7 months to change.

Book SSR at 11 months and then see if you can switch or waitlist for VWL at 7 months.

We booked at just about 7 months out (was not looking to book, just asked when calling MS for another reason) for a 1 or 2br @ VWL for the first 3 weeks of December and had availability. I was surprised that there was availability, but we had no problems whatsoever with choice of room and weeks (played with dates the first 3 weeks of Dec). Best of luck!

Then BLT is the resort you want. You don't get any closer than that.

Can you borrow some points if BLT is available? Since the resort is not sold out yet that will be your best shot at that time of year. Good Luck!

I can almost assure you that BLT rooms wouldn't be available in December, even if the OP had the points to make a reservation. I've played with several 2010 dates (albeit late, as I wanted to stay there first) and I am a BLT owner. None of the rooms I wanted was available for any time frame. Granted there might be bay lake or standard rooms, but I am already seeing BLT's popularity affecting the availability I'm looking for, and it's only going to get worse IMO.

I bought more points this trip and I know I will be glad I did in the very near future (even more than I already am )
