Staying at WL and want to go to Polynesian and Grand Floridian for dining ADRs. A helpful CM told me that the quickest way to GF was to hop on the bus headed to Downtown Disney or Animal Kingdom and the next stop will be GF. Just curious what the other stops on the WL bus lines would be, specifically to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. I understand that there is no stop between WL and MK. TIA.

We stayed at WL last February! Regarding the buses - there is always another stop after you leave WL. When going to AK or HS, you stop at GF. When going to Epcot, you stop at Fort Wilderness. We never took the bus to MK - we always took the boat so I am not sure if it is direct - I can only imagine it would be as all other resorts in the area have direct access to Mk.

When we had our ADR's at the Poly, we jumped on the boat to MK and then took the monorail over to Poly - or you could take the boat from MK as well. For the ADR's at GF, we just hopped the first bus for HS/AK that came.

Be sure to ask the bus driver before you get on as WDW has been know to change routes.

You can also take the small boat over to CR, then monorail to Poly or GF.

You are correct. The WL to MK bus is a direct bus, it never changes. The WL to HS bus stops at the GF afterwards and the WL to Epcot bus stops at FW afterwards.

The only time the Wilderness Lodge buses stop at the Polynesian or Grand Floridian is during the mornings, because in the afternoons/evenings the Contemporary, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian share bus service. So my advice for getting to the Polynesian and Grand Floridian is taking the blue flag boat to the Contemporary, just remember it also stops at Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and it runs from 6:45 AM - 11:30 PM.

If you take the boat to the contemporary, you have a relatively long walk to the monorail.

I think it would be faster to take the boat to MK, and then the boat one dock over to GF and Poly (they share the same boat).

WL to the Poly, don't recall doing that in morning. But that doesn't mean anything. If you can imagine a bus stop sequence, it probably exists from somewhere. But I have done CR/PR/GF (COPOFLO the triple, for Cranbiz) from DTD, but just later in the night. It is the standard route from HS.

Do you think it's faster than taking the bus to MK, only five minutes, and then the MR to the Poly, just asking?

When going to GF, we will probably try the bus route - bus to HS or AK. For Poly, probably use the boat route - to MK then Poly.

Does the bus to DTD stop at GF? This is what the CM told me.

Agreed that there are many many variations of bus routes in the morning, all of which are designed for one purpose, to get guests to the parks

But, after the morning rush, the standard WL routes from all the parks are as follows:

AK & DTD - WL to GF then back to park
HS & EP - WL to FW then back to park(BTW The HS bus to WL does not typically go to GF)

Just for the record,,,again,,,the only park that provides normal afternoons/evenings service to CO, PO & GF on the same bus is HS.

Unless things have changed I just wanted to say each time I have taken a bus back from the Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney in the afternoon and evenings, when it arrived the resorts listed on it's electronic sign that said it was going to was the Contemporary, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian. Also the signs posted at the bus stations said the same thing, plus I saw seperate stations that were listed for the Wilderness Lode and Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

Yes, the routes did change about 2 years ago.

I know for a fact that the AK bus stops only at GF after WL; a separate AK bus serves CR and Poly. I drive those routes almost every day.

I also know that the Epcot bus stops only at FtW after WL, because the other MK resorts are reached by Monorail from EC.

I'm 90% certain that DTD has the same routes as AK: WL & GF on one bus, CR and Poly on another.

And I think DHS still does one bus for WL and FtW, and a separate bus for all of CR, Poly, and GF.

To sum up, if I have everything right, from WL: AK and DTD buses will stop at GF; Epcot and Studios buses will stop at FtW.

But ALWAYS, ALWAYS ask the driver whenever you're going somewhere that's not on the bus' marquee. The bus may be on some sort of special run, or later stops may be skippped if the bus fills up.

Well the last time we took the bus from Downtown Disney to the Contemporary was in August 2008 and when the bus arrived it said the stops was the Contemporary, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian. However that was also 2 years ago, unless the route changed after that month.

I love it..a new 'thingie'...COPOFLO!!! It rolls right off the tongue. Can't wait to stay at CO and then head to POFLO in August!!!

And let's not forget the ever popular COPO. So we have COPOFLO, POFLO, & COPO. I think those are the only cool thingies there are. Oh wait, there is also MagicPop/PopMagic. There are probably more.

If you sit up front and it's later in the night on a DTD bus, and the driver gets that route, you'll hear certain dispatchers say COPOFLO over the radio. It's not the standard route but later in the night when it's slow, they'll combine routes.

When the bus from Epcot is doing WL and FtW, it's called Wilderness-Wilderness.

And this is not something guests would hear, but when a driver takes a shift driving the FtW internal shuttles, it's said that he's "gone to the woods."

But yes, late at night and very early in the morning, the usual routes are thrown to the wind. Assume nothing; ask always (if your destination is not on the marquee.)
