P.S. Bob, Shell, any other 80's music gurus -- did you catch the top 100 songs of the 80's on VH-1 over the weekend? There's some good karaoke fodder in there for TB & the DB's!!

I didn't catch the show, but there is one problem with 80's music. I am a baritone, and most of the guys in the 80's sang more like women than men. Very few songs that would work on karaoke without causing me MUCH pain!

Good Morning ,
Wow, this is late for me!! DS and I fall asleep on the sofa and got up at 8am!! I was happy to go back to sleep!!! Well today I am off to Walmart and the Cleaners. Have to run little errands for things for the cruise. It's cold here today. A high in the low 40's!! Well I have to get the last load of wash in and then DS wash. I Iwll talke to you all later !!!

Speaking of 80's - does anyone remember the band 'Platinum Blonde'? Such hits as 'Standing in the Dark' and 'Doesn't Really Matter'?? Well, Mark Holmes the lead singer was at my wedding

It is pretty cold up here too - but supposed to be sunny on Thurs when we fly out.....I was worried we would get a blizzard or something!!

Looks like we are pretty much all set. I have to go to the drug store today, hit the bank for some USD $$, and do my iron-ons tonight for the pillowcases (everyone wish me luck on that!!)

Athene - as the official thread starter I give you a big for bringing all of these great people together and wish you a safe and painless journey! Can't wait to see you.

For those keeping up - my $%&#@ Pirate outfit has STILL not come. I am pretty much resigned to be pirate-less Oh well, can't win em all.

Better get some work done - only today and tomorrow here and then glorious freedom.

Good Morning Everyone:

Well, it was 28 degrees when I left home this morning, and only supposed to get up to 49 degrees today. For me, this is nice weather. Lisa doesn't quite agree!

But, I did look at weather.com yesterday, and it was 85 degrees in St. Thomas with a heat index of 91! It is supposed to be just about the same when we arrive next Wednesday!

Cheri - thanks for asking. The good news is that I'm feeling better. The bad news is that DD 2 1/2 is coughing at night again. Those who have followed the saga know that she had a bout of pneumonia not long ago so we are on pins and needles. She has not developed a fever and is "acting" relatively normal (whatever that is for a toddler)...so faith...trust and pixie dust...

Jeff I am glad you are feeling better. Here is some for DD. My DD has a cold to. She is feeling fine, just blowing her nose constantly. I am hoping my other DD does not get it. My 2 girls are always passing colds back and forth.

Today I have last minute stuff to pick up at the store. I want to clean my house so its clean when I get home, only to mess it up again. I need to finish up our tshirts for pirate night too.

I feel everyone's pain with sick kids. My DS woke up coughing, sneezing and just a general air of sickness. I was on the phone to the dr. Was at the dr's office by 830. We have allergies, nothing contagious, nothing that requires antibiotics. Just allergy meds. YIPPEEEE. Now if we can just keep his parents healthly, we will be fine.

Sarah, I will say a prayer that your pirate costume comes today. I would hate for your to run around in your skivvies.

Thanks Lorna. I noticed you had a 7 year old DD traveling with you. Mine is 8 and will be checking out the lab. Will your DD be doing any of the clubs? I thought I'd share a thought with you from our last cruise. Our DD was nearly 8 on last cruise but didn't want to bump up to the lab because she didn't want to be the youngest there. She regretted it afterward because the activities were a little too young for her. Just thought I'd let you know that and if your DD is hitting the lab, mine is too as is another young girl with whom my DD has communicated via email. I always think it's nice to have a "friend" going into it...

Cheer up -- #2 was Pour Some Sugar On Me (Def Leppard) and #1 was Living on a Prayer (Bon Jovi). At least those guys are "manly" men without the extra makeup! However, #3 was Hungry Like the Wolf (Duran Duran).
