Hi there....just popping in on my day off to see how everyone is doing with cruise preparations. I realized I only have 5 days off (today included) before the cruise. I think I am making progress...made our limo ressies today with Happy Limo. I think I heard they were good....

transportation to/from airport, check.
hotel ressies before/after, check.
Pirate/Princess Costumes, check.
Tshirt order for 16 submitted, check.
DoorSigns, in progess.

Still haven't started packing yet....baby steps.

The weekend is basically here!

I get to go to Jessalyn's school a bit later to help set up for the school carnival (what was I thinking when I signed up? ) and tomorrow I'll help run one of the games. I imagine things have changed just a bit since I went to this very same school a few years ago!

Not too much going here today / this weekend. I'm going to break down and get most of our clothes packed. Then I can make a final inventory of last minute things I need.

Better get my work stuff wrapped up for the night. Then the countdown is on till we hear from DBW!!!

Hi all....Gues what!?! Took DS-Josh-AKA joelidol-to take his driving test and.......HE PASSED .
I am now in complete panic mode. My baby can without me !!!! Oh I can feel the ulcers now !!

Went over to my niece's house-we are checking our cruise lists and checking them twice-so afraid I'll forget some important paper or something!! Becoming psychotic

They only allow a certain amount of on line reservations for Palos. Because some people dont have the ability to book that way. As soon as you board the ship go and make your reservations.
You will be given a paper when you check in and on it will give a place and time to make reservations and to change dining times. It starts almost immediately at boarding, usually in one of the clubs. First come, first serve!! So zip there first and you shouldnt have a problem.

We have done this and it works really good.
Time for dinner, I'll check back later tonight and see how everyone is doing.
I have to see if Wally really posts!!

OK....it's been an hour and a half and nobody has posted. I am in the mood to obsess about our trip and there is noone to talk to

I am going to try and jump over to the CB board abd find out if this 'mysterious' celebrity has been announced. I think that is why I am in project management - let everyone else do the work and just survey the results LOL (that was a joke - I do actually work OCCASIONALLY) ps - the spelling of that just looks wrong??

anywho.....can we think of something to obsess about - maybe post our packing lists, post menus and pick out what we are going to eat???? SOmething (yes, God, I am a loser ).

I already printed out the 3-4 and 5-7 DCU Navs to help DS decide what he wants to do. I swear, I need a support group.

OK, spastic rant over - hope to see some bananas hop on board tonight.

I am still waiting to see Dreamboat Wally's post!! Denise said he would post tonight.
He'd better hurry up, it is almost my bedtime. We old folk hit the hay early ya know, cusin we get up before the chickens, around 4 a.m.

I have no packing list, just know what to grab and ow to pack it. have done it too many times before I guess.
Lets see, what else to talk about??

Where are you staying the night befor the cruise?

We usually just drive from home, because it isnt very far, but this time we are spending friday night at the Radisson.
Anybody else staying there Friday night??

I am still working on my 3rd door sign, but it's almost done.

How is everyone elses signs coming along??

Hey all! Guess who's back!?! ME! I have finally found a crack in the steel wall that is homework. To confirm the test, which I passed ( ), I can now drive under my own freewill. Now I need a car... THe test wasn't too hard, I parallel parked, came to four stop signs. Blah blah blah. All in all, I made three mistakes: didn't turn on turn signal when I went into the stall to parallel park, forgot to turn on my turn signal when I was to change lanes ( ) oh well.
The test was point based, not one shot and "get out!".

How have you been Kathy? It's been awhile since we talked; I hope you're all set for the cruise. My mom's pulling hairs out of her head. I hope she gats ready in enough time. By the turn of the month, we'll be on the cruise .

evening everyone......

Ladies I have to apologize.....we have been trying to get on these boards for the past hour and was getting the server too busy .....So since Wally gets up at 2am....he is now slepping....However, even on weekends he is up early so I am sure he will post then..... He wanted to but the computer or server was to busy.

Anyway...was able to give my sister her t-shirt and she loves them....and now for the good news.....I got my tiara today I tried it on when I got home and Wally just laughed. I thought it looked pretty darn good....I didnt realize how good us ladies look in these.

Well this weekend I am going to get more ironing done and try some packing....THREE WEEKS FROM TOMORROW.......

Sarah, does it count that Bill and I obssessed (AGAIN) about the trip at dinner tonight?! And yes, it was dinner (not supper) because we ate at a restaurant .

So here's a good one to get things started. This is for everyone. What is the ONE thing that you're most excited about on this cruise? Bill and I were going through this at dinner. For me, it's the entire first day ... those first steps into the lobby and having our name announced, meeting all my DIS family , seeing our cabin for the first time and hanging out on the veranda, watching the dolphins as we leave port .

Bill says his is "meeting Wendy" . Course, I'd have to include finally meeting Dream Boat Wally in person ! Where IS that Dream Boat Wally anyway????

Josh, congratulations on getting your license!!

What am I really excited about...I think I have to agree with you....getting on the boat...taking in the whole experience. Dolphins...YEA! Hearing the boat horn as we leave...
And a close second...seeing my kids take in the whole experience...
I have never been on a cruise before....so the whole thing is new...and I have traveled a lot! (My dad was a Captain for United Airlines for 30 years....but being a Navy man...didn't think a cruise was a vacation...hence the 1st time thing...)

Shell, we are coming to CP in July next summer so I will get the dates so you can be sick and come play.

We passed our goal again !!


Hi Josh,
welcome back and congrats on the DL today. It took me two tries when I got mine.
I am ready to go, just need to finish my last door sign.


What i am looking forward to most?? That's a hard one, probably tied for a couple of things.

Meeting everyone at the meet, that is always a highlight of our cruise.
Having our youngest son along is great too.
Just relaxing and watching the ocean from our verandah and forgetting all the bad stressful things we have in daily life!!
But getting hugs from Goofy and Donald and Chip and Dale are ranked up there with #1 too!!
Twice I danced with goofy in the sand on Castaway Cay. that was a magical memory!!

Just got back from helping set up for the school carnival. (I was having flashbacks of when I was just a little grade-schooler going to the carnival at that same school!!! )

My very own dream-boat Bill (a.k.a. DBB) fixed my laptop somehow!!!

Sarah -- I know what you mean -- I'm obsessing all the time! I go back & forth trying to decide what to order at dinner, what to drink, what to do, etc., etc.

I guess I'm looking forward most to getting on board and meeting everyone. I'm also looking forward to warm weather and the fun of actually sailing away on our journey.

Congrats Josh on the DL! Now you can make your parents' insurance rates go up!!!!

(My dad was a Captain for United Airlines for 30 years....)

Hey -- another thing we have in common: 5YO DD's and my dad was also a captain for UAL. He retired at the end of 2001.

There were so many times that we ended up going on vacations in the 5th-wheel camper-trailer instead of flying because Dad didn't want to have to fly anywhere. Plus, flying on a pass isn't always all it's cracked up to be!!!

Wow, I wasn't on last night because we had friend's over and I had alot of reading to do. Well today DH is finishing painting so me and DS are off to a Christmas Boutique with my mom at her church. DS is going to meet Santa for the 1st time and we will see how that goes!! Tomorrow are doing nothing!! Monday DS is off the the doctors' for his 6 month shots and the Flu shot!! My Poor baby !!! Okay, let me get ready and DS dressed. Talk to you when I get home !!

morning all,
Ok, where is dreamboat Wally??? it is 8:30 and he is still a no-show.

We dont need a letter from him, just a howdy do will be ok.

Well DH is remodeling our 1/2 bath today. We took out the pedistal sink and are putting in a vanity and sink, new lighting, painting and a new big medicine cabinet.. We are going to do that to all the bathrooms over the next few months.

well I am off to "Supervise" the project. I wont say too much to a man with a nail gun and a saw in his hands, but I will keep an eye on him.
