Wii- Fit

I LOVE IT!! Last Sunday I went to use it and the board told me since its Sunday I should take a break and take the day off! :lmao: And yesterday I went to do my daily body test and I didnt do any the day before (Wed) because I felt like I really needed a break from it since I've been on it everyday since it came out and not to mention I banged my knee REALLY hard and yeah the pain didnt subside for a while, anyways....and the board says to me, So I guess you were to busy yesterday to take your daily test, werent you? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I love how the board has an attitude! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Im not bored with it and probably wont be, but you do need a break from it once in awhile. Maybe take the boards advice and dont do any on Sundays? :idea: :rotfl: I wonder what its gonna say to me when I dont use it for 2 weeks in August since I'll be in Disney? Im probably gonna be :furious: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

What's everyone thinking about their Wii fits? I've been watching this thread and just wondering if there are others out there using it and what do you think??? Anyone bored with it yet? I want to get one, but I want to make sure it's not a novelty! :) It sure does sound like fun though!
 
I used mine for the first time this morning. I only 30 mins, but I liked what I did. I think it will be a good tool to use.
 
The board keeps giving me props for "working out" every day for the past 5 days. It's not that great for burning lots of calories, but it definetly fills the gaps between heavier workouts. It is also good for tracking your progress/weight. I find it a bit overpriced for what I'm using it for, but if it keeps me working out & losing weight, it'll be ...priceless!
 
I didn't use it the past 2 days because my bedroom is filled with books and things from the living room where we are having new baseboards put in. I can't wait to hear what the Wii says to me for skipping 2 days!!! :laughing:

I can't wait to try out my Wii fit. I preordered it on amazon and wouldn't you know, I broke my foot last week and haven't been able to try it out yet! it sounds awesome!:cool1:
 
I love the wii fit game! The day after it was released to stores, my hubby and I were at Wal-mart when they made the announcement that they had some. My man took off running, and snagged one. It only took me 6 months to get the console, but sooo wirth it. LOL! I did alot of ab exercises the forst day, and boy did I feel sore the next day! It is cool.

17 Days till Disney!!!!
 
I unlocked free step last night..

So, I did that for thirty minutes.. while watching Super Nanny.

My legs are KILLING me today.

I have been using the game for three days - I do enjoy it, but there are few things that I do find annoying ;)

1. I would like to know how many calories I am burning doing each of the activities.

2. Yoga/Strength: I don't like how you have to go back to the main strength page to choose the next exercise. Too much down time in between exercises. It should give us a "next" option and then a "skip" option if we didn't want to perform that exercise.

3. The step exercise needs to be able go faster. I realize with free step that I can go at my own pace, but I find it more fun/challenging when you have a specific step you are supposed to do. I wish we could set the intensity higher - i.e. be able to make the step higher or lower depending on the type of impact we wanted to do.

4. Ability to turn the trainer OFF. I am already tired of him saying "Come Back Every Day... yada yada yada..."

Those are some initial observations as a "right out of the box user". I haven't played much of the balance exercises as of yet so I can't comment on those. I should also mention that I haven't really read the WiiFit manual and perhaps there are ways to do some of the things I am complaining about, and if so, I am all ears!!!!
 
Step gets harder! A LOT harder!! When you unlock the 2nd step excerise, by half way, I was sweating, out of breath, couldnt keep up. I've only done it once and probably wont even dare to touch it for awhile.

Are you suppposed to wear gym shoes or no? :confused3

It looks like the trainers are not wearing gym shoes and I don't want to get the board dirty, but I don't like to do anything without gym shoes.

Might be a dumb question, but I seriously would like to know what everyone is doing, shoes or socks?

I have to tell you the boxing KICKED MY BUTT, my deltoids and arms are SO SORE today, guess its working
 
I love my Wii fit! :goodvibes I am not happy that my wii fit age is 33, but it could be worse. MIL is 75! haha. But I didn't think I was getting a good work out till later on the next day I could feel the burn. I love it..trying to go about a half hour to hour a day. Hey if it works it will be great:yay:
 
OK, looks like I may be heading out to try to buy this tomorrow. I was doing good with wii sports & actually boxing, playing tennis, etc. for awhile. Then, DH came home with MarioKart & now I'm sitting on my butt again. Maybe wii fit will make me get up.

ETA: Just called my DH & he's going to attempt to buy me one tonight when he gets off of work.
 
I finally got one! :cool1: :cool1:

We went to target to pick up some other stuff, and I thought -- there's no way I'll find one (I don't know how other areas are right now, but here, they've been impossible to find!). Lo and behold! I spied one on the shelf. Unfortunately, a target employee was busy removing it to take it back behind the counter :( . Looked like she was gonna buy it herself!

She said there were no more, so I was starting to walk away when another employee said "ma'am, we have more right here". Lol -- there were four more behind the counter that the female employee hadn't known about!

Sadly, I can't bring it in right now, because we're having a freakishly intense thunderstorm and I'm afraid it will get soaked :worried:
 
We just got ours last night and started on it tonight. Dh, DD, and I have taken turns and so far, I've only been thru the beginning steps(weight, height,etc). I just now understand what the "unlocking" means, as DH was just told he earned enough points to unlock a balance game. So am i right in assuming you have to WORK towards the games?? Yes...I should probably read the manual.

I love it so far! Its been interesting watching Dh....
 
No you MUST be barefoot on the board. So no socks either. If you look on the back of the board theres a warning label that says not to wear socks or shoes.

The advance step is what im talking about. While it may not been hard for you, but I was getting all confused with kicking my legs and turning side to side. I could not just keep up with it. By half way I gave up. And it DEF. did not feel like 5 mins. It felt more like 10 mins. Boxing I've gotten really good at. And while I do get a sweat going, I just might start doing the advanced boxing. The basic boxing is getting boring for me.

There is 1 more step to unlock. If you look under the advance step you will see another black picture with a question mark over it. Thats the next step excerise to unlock. I can only imagine how thats gonna be!

I just did a nice 27 minute work out, some yoga, some strength, hula and step and a ski jump for fun. It was great and I could feel that I was working. I am going to try for 25-30 minutes a day and see how it goes. I really do like it a lot!

ACK! Didn't see that. I was putting my shoes on to do the step aerobics. My heel spurs were KILLING me when I did it without shoes. Now what?
 
You guys are killing me here. I want one so bad but have been all over and cant find it. I had no trouble finding my Wii last December so I guess I got lucky there. I talked to the manager at Walmart and he said 50% of this area is looking for a WiiFit. :rotfl: Funny guy he is.LOL
