Wiggly Bacon

Ugh. CanNOT stand wiggly bacon, as we call it in our household. Underdone, limp bacon. This is what the Crystal Palace served on the buffet on April 1st when we had breakfast there. In fact, it was SO underdone that my son, who LIKES wiggly bacon, even got grossed out because it was almost RAW.

On the other hand, the best bacon we had on our trip was at the Trail's End Restaurant at the Ft. Wilderness Campground. We went over there to check out the place because we're thinking of driving down and camping next summer, and the whole breakfast there was SUPERB. The bacon was so crisp it SHATTERED when you took a bite. YUM.

I guess I'm in between--not raw, certainly, but not so crisp that it would shatter if you dropped it on the floor.
I usually order sausage, but Mrs. U always gets bacon. From our many breakfasts at WDW, I'd have to say that most times and places, the bacon has been just fine. Buffets are especially nice, since you can rummage around and select just the slices you want!
My grandfather used to eat his bacon "undercooked"--so much so that I often wondered why he bothered to even attempt cooking it---. May as well have just eaten it out of the package.

I'm a member of the wiggly bacon club. I hate when it's so cripsy it cuts the inside of your mouth when you chew.

Don't like wiggly bacon either. Pork is suppose to be done, not raw. Can't you get very sick from that?

There is no longer any danger from that.

I like my bacon VERY wiggly. I always have to take mine out way before the wife's. I don't think its Crystal Palace, I think it varies. I eat at CP all the time. I have been happy with the bacon and I have also been very unhappy becasue it was way too crisp.

DH likes the "shatters when it hits the plate kind of well done". I like it slightly chewier, but still well done.

We always ask for our bacon crispy when we go to the diner around here. Otherwise, it comes out "wiggly" and we cant stand the thought of eating it!
We just got back from Disney about 2 weeks ago, and noticed that everywhere we ate had nicely cooked, crispy bacon- even Crystal Palace. You must have gotten an undercooked batch.

I always ask for "extra crispy" bacon when I go out, and everyone looks at me like I'm crazy. And even then, sometimes I have to send it back!

I don't like 'wiggly bacon' !!
