Thats not right at all unless maybe
AAA added something in there they werent supposed to, like park hoppers or maybe the
DDP. I would call back and talk to someone different. Just letting you know its very easy to figure out how much it would cost AAA rate. I do this all the time for my trips and im never off except for maybe a couple cents.
1. Go to disneyworld.com
2. On the reservation box click on ROOM ONLY and then fill out rest of the info. Click search for prices.
3. Pick your resort
4. Choose your view. Once view is selected, make sure you click on UPDATE.
5. Skip the rest for now, scroll all the way down to the total of the price. Write that price down, multiply the total by 15% (value season) or 10% (peak season). Take that amount and subtract it from the total Disney gave you. That is your AAA room rate.
6. Go back up and fill out the rest of the info for tickets, packages and transportation. Dont forget to click update for each section.
7. On the next page go all the way to the bottom. Take that price Disney gives you now, subtract it from the original pricing Disney gave you before you took away AAA discount. Then add the AAA discounted rate you got from STEP 5. That total amount you now see is what AAA should give you.
If your confused by all this, give me all the info, dates, hotel and view, number of people, what package you want, etc. and I can figure it out for you and let you know how much it should cost with AAA. Just letting you know AAA is a great company to be with. I always use AAA for my Disney trips. This time im saving well over $500 for having AAA.
I am booking a trip for a friend. It will be 1 adults, 2 kids ages 8&9. They are getting 6 day no-hopper passes. Staying at POP, added air, insurance and ME. I did everything on line, then called AAA to see if it would be worth joining. I gave them all the info, and what I came up with was around 2200. I gave them 2 different weeks in Feb. One is value season and one was not. The lowest price they gave me was 3100 for value and 3400 for reg. Now I can't imagine what they did that would of made the price so much different. I went with value season, added another adult, and got ressies for CRT and it all came to 3000. That is a big difference in price. Anyone know why. When I called Disney to make the reservations, without me saying I had been online to check things out, we were within 5 dollars of each other.
