why nothing oct 11-17th

We are going Oct 7th thru 12th and I was able to use the Monster pin code for 40% off of our first 3 or 4 nights (can't remember). We are staying at Pop for the first time and it saved us about $120. Still hoping for FD...bigger discount for us instead of the 40% off. :yay:

Also, anyone booking free dining on Oct. 2 can carry it throughout their trip -- 10 or 14 days (can't remember what the cut off is) so FD can actually run to the 12th or 16th (depending which length of time is correct).

Is this true? I thought this was no longer the case? I'd like to know. Maybe I'll make a call.

Besides the holidays previously mentioned, most of October is considered "Regular season" (probably due to the Food and Wine Festival). Combine that with holidays, MNSSHPs and school breaks, I can imagine Disney doesn't have too many issues filling rooms.

This is still true - I did it yesterday. I am booked at Caribbean Beach for 14 nights with free dining starting Sat. Oct 2. 14 nights is the max - we have 3 other nights that we could not add to that package. Free dining you can extend past the cut-off date; room only discounts, you cannot.

We're also going to be down October 11th to 17th and are bummed there are no discounts for that week :guilty: We're hoping they'll release a general public code that includes that week :wizard:

Columbus Day Weekend and this time is usually blocked off as a no discounted week. I know I went down this time one year and there were no discounts. I now avoid holiday weekends and the week that follows it.

Yep, it's true. I'm checking in on Sept. 29th and checking out on Oct. 5 and have the free dining throughout -- I'm booked on the bounce-back promotion I booked last Oct. 09. The BB had to be booked with a arrival by Sept. 30th to get the promotion. I actually have the better promotion. I have basic ddp (ts,cs,s) and only had the 1 day ticket requirement and staying in a value. Much better than the current one out now. But still haven't decided if I'll keep it or not.
