Why not VB resale?

All this talk about people not wanting to own at VB has me thinking about when people make the reservations that they eventually keep.

I guess I am wondering if the 11/7 month booking window amounts to over 50% of reservatins that are kept. If most reservations that are made are made after 7 months then "which resort" is not as important as "how many points". Has anyone heard or read anything as to breakdown of when reservations are made?


I for one book at around the 6 month window, this is determined by when we can determine our work/school schedules and when I can buy airline tickets (SouthWest sells 6 months out).

At 7 months, a point is a point is a point. However, with VB you are always limited to the 7 month window with no on property options, unlike at all other resorts save HH. That means you're usually locked out of the high demand times. OTOH, VB is a great resort and anyone wanting to stay there part of the time and elsewhere at others times, may be well suited to own at VB. That's especially true if one wants a 3 BR Beach house part of the time. Matter of Fact, anyone thinking of a 3 BR for any frequency at all, should own at a resort they can get it. That means HH, VB, SSR or OKW. And while BWV has a few, there are so few as to make it too much of a gamble. And those at OKW are cheaper by far than any of the rest except off season at HH.
