Why no EMM 10/16 or 1//23?

Does anyone have any insight or speculation why there is no EMM at MK on Sunday, October 16 or 23?
They are having EMM on other MNSSHP days, so I'm not sure it' that.

Just curious. I would have gone on the 23rd. Sorry if this has been discussed. I couldn't find any talk about those dates in particular

Are they after a MNSSHP? I think that is why 11/1 does not have EMM.

I was really hoping for 10/23 EMM too! Seems like they are offering it less starting this month.

If the trend all year continues, they haven't posted the dates (if they are extending this again).

All year they've been finalizing everything right around the 15-17th of the month so I suspect the end of this week you'll see the october calendar shift around a little and if EMM is going to stay they will add the dates in.

I went to check the calendar just to see what it was showing. There are NO Sundays available after Oct 2 until Nov 27. Is there a possibility these have already sold out? Were they available before?

Oh dear. I could have sworn most Sundays were blue before! I'm sure they didn't sell out, otherwise they would still be blue but just say no availability when you went to check. I wonder if they're just reducing the number of days offered, sort of like what they did with EMM at DHS? I've been planning to take advantage of EMM on our trip at the end of November, but now I'm wondering if I should get our tickets purchased sooner rather than later.

The don't have ANY MK EMM for the whole second week of October....and I am really, really bummed. That's when I'll be there. I got one for HS, but none are available for MK. I wonder if during busy holiday week(end)s they don't schedule them so they have the option to make park opening earlier.

Has anyone called the reservation line to see if they are actually showing as sold-out? The dates that are not available do really seem strange as to the timing.

DHS EMM moved from Mondays to Saturdays when all of the new dates were made available, though. They weren't posted and then changed. It is odd that the MK EMM dates were made available and then taken back. Perhaps Disney changed their mind about having EMM two days per week at MK, but only pulled back dates that hadn't yet been booked by anyone?

I was checking (obsessively) every day until the October dates came out. So I'm pretty sure never did show up for the 23rd.

And they wonder why things like this don't catch on. How can people try something new if Disney isn't consistent with what they're doing? If I had $1 for the times I've shaken my head at them the past few months, I could just about fund a trip to see them!

I am also looking for 10/23 EMM. We are staying off-site this time (saving up DVC points for April 2017) and so we would love to take advantage of riding 7DMT during EMM. I am watching this thread to see if/when it becomes available. Is there any other thread/source to watch?

I see they have updated the open times on the 16th and 23rd to 8am. Now we know why no EMM!

If I had $1 for every time I've shaken my head at Disney, I still wouldn't pay $75 a head to ride three rides and have breakfast with no characters present.

They did just extend hours for some of those prior nights at MK til 12 (IE 10/15 is til midnight). So there may not be enough time between close and when they would need the park to be ready for EMM. I have no idea if other EMM eve's had similarly late closing times or not.
