We visited Disneyland 2 years ago. We LOVED Cars Land in California!!!

Why are there no plans for a Cars Land in Florida??? It would be a fantastic addition to Hollywood Studios!

They dropped serious coin on Star Wars.

They've got to milk that cow for everything it's worth.

There's just not the budget/room for Carsland if you consider what they NEED to do with Star Wars Land (whether they do what they NEED to do is not a sure thing, but I think we're all hoping they do it BIG and do it RIGHT).

"The Force Will Be With You...Always" has more universal appeal than "turn right to go left, thank you, or should I say no thank you. Crazy grandpa car, what an idiot"

I love Cars Land too in DL, but I'm glad they didn't just copy it and bring it over to WDW.

I personally love fresh DIFFERENT attractions between the two parks. It makes me want to visit both, and gives me something fresh and new to see.

I understand wanting Cars Land in WDW, but I think it's the right decision to leave it at DL, especially after the disasters that were Cars 2, Planes, and Planes: Fire & Rescue.

I don't see Disney really doing anything much new given their attendance numbers and increase in profits. They are already spending a ton on Avatarland and just shelled out that billion for the Magicbands.

Frankly they are too busy milking Frozen for every last ounce of breath it has.

I have thought for a while this should replace the stunt show in HS. Big piece of land needed.

Because he says so.

Like another PP said, I *like* that DLR and WDW are different. They don't need to copy everything at each park.

There is a big announcement for a three-phase expansion at the Studios coming in January or February, covering projects up to the WDW 50th anniversary celebration in late 2020. We'll see what all is included in that announcement.

There will be a lot of room to add a Cars-Land type area when Streets of America is relocated to the west side of World Drive.

Rumor, fact, or joke?

I would also add that Carsland/radiator racers is an outdoors version of TT. In central fl it rains. A lot. A high-tech tricky ride like that would be forced to close when it pours rain - just like TT and the Grand Prix.

California rarely rains like Florida, and even then RR has issues. So do I see it coming to Florida? No. Blame it on the rain.

I like the fact that I can travel to both Disneyland and WDW and still feel like it's a different park. I like knowing there are differences, and that between the two parks, there will always be something new. I have not yet had the opportunity to experience Cars Land, but I look forward to being able to, and looking forward to going to DL is fun for me. I wouldn't be as excited if it were also brought to WDW.

That being said, there is speculation of a Star Wars land being built at DHS, but nothing's confirmed. The only exciting thing Disney's got going on right now is Avatarland, though personally I think that project is a waste of money. Disney Springs is also a new expansion, but I've not done enough research about it to be excited.

After cutting through all the rumors and speculation, THIS is the real reason. The centerpuece of Cars Land is RSR and it is a modified Test Track. Putting in a second ride based on the same platform would make about as much sense as putting in an Aladdin-themed ride and a dinosaur-themed ride that were direct copies of the Dumbo concept......Oops! But seriously, a Cars Land at WDW would need an all new centerpiece ride. Maybe they are working on one and it is taking time.

Yeah, there is really no need for Cars Land. RSRR is basically a longer version of Test Track (and it's not as fast). I'd rather a new unique attraction be added at WDW. Differentiation makes it worth visiting both coasts for some different Disney fun.

put me in the category that is glad they are not planning carbon copies on both coasts.

I think we may see some versions of the rides at DHS...but not RSR.

A fantastic addition will be Star Wars and Pixar's other movies. Take what Uni has done with potter and do that with Star Wars at DHS and I personally think park attendance would SOAR.

I don't think I would count out a Cars Land. Just RSR. The visual of Cars Land is stunning and better suited for park expansion than any other Pixar movie in terms of building something beyond just rides. Beyond that, I agree that a park with its roots in movie making must greatly expand the Pixar presence way beyond TSMM; must do Star Wars in a big way; and must incorporate Disney's biggest box office franchise, which is Marvel. Take a look at what the Iron Man movies, the Avenger Movies, the Captain America Movies, the Thor movies etc. have earned at the box office. This cannot be ignored. Not to mention that they are custom fitted for theme park attractions in the heart of the demographic that competes with Universal. While one may want to argue that Disney "is not in competition with Universal", that might be true insofar as the MK and AK are concerned. But denying that DHS is not in competition with Universal is as naive as it is silly.

They do have that little issue where they cannot use any Marvel characters in WDW parks that Universal is already using. So Marvel is usually not considered in any big way regarding speculation as to what will become of DHS.

That takes Spidey and Hulk out. But Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and a host of others are wide open.

It's my understanding that it applies to ALL the Avengers, even if they appear on a mural at Universal WDW cannot use them. It's not just whether or not there is an attraction named after them. The degree of representation at Universal isn't the issue, it's whether they are represented at all.

Apparently WDW can, should they wish, do whatever they want with the Guardians of the Galaxy, since none of those characters are represented at Universal. Hey I'd pay to meet Groot, Drax or Yondu.

What Disney should do is simply pay Universal the ransom money to allow it to use whatever Universal is not currently using. They probably could never get Spiderman or the Hulk. But the use of some characters on a poster? Disney should pay to get them back. Seems silly to have Iron Man and Thor meet-and-greets in every Disney theme park except WDW.
