Has Pete ever been a meet-and-greet character? If not, why haven't we ever seen him in the parks?

I mean Pete as in Mickey's nemesis, the big cat. Also from Pete's Garage in Toon Town.

My DD3 watches ANYTHING and everything Mickey, from Playhouse Disney to classic Mickey cartoons, over and over, and over. . . .
She LOVES Steamboat Mickey.

She has requested several times already to get a stuffed Pete to go with her Mickey and Pals. I'm hoping they have them at WDW b/c they sure don't carry him at the walmart! :rotfl2:

I don't know why Pete isn't more prominent, he was in very early Mickey toons and he still is now.

Pete is an option to add to the Disney "My Villains" Monopoly game. Besides that, the Disney game I had on NES and old Disney cartoons, I have never really seen Pete anywhere.

The three mousketeers, mickey mouse club house every day, most of the new goofy shows/movies he lives next door. Seems like I see him everywhere but at WDW. My kids ask why they can't meet him too.

I know that there is a PETE costume (for ... you know ... a "friend of Pete" ;)), but I believe it exists only in prototype. They may have built it for some milestone anniversary of "Steamboat Willie" or something, but it's never been a regular in the parks.

:earsboy:

That is too funny--just earlier today my toddler was watching the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and the thought "I wonder why I haven't seen Pete at disney world" crossed my mind as well.

Ive never noticed Petes not even in any of the theme parks ever, and he still popular and mickeys rival, he even has a PEZ dispenser now, lets hope he'll be in the parks someday.

LOL my first thought was Pete Werner of the Dis Unplugged podcast...and my second thought was wait...he is a character! :lmao:

Where have you seen this?

That's weird i was thinking the same thing a couple of days ago.

The best reason i could come up with is that Pete is such a large character compared to Mickey that in order for the characters to be anywhere near scale youy have have a costume far to big to be wearable/useable.

I daughter also love MM clubhouse.

Every trip she gets a few stuffed animals for her souviner. This year she wants Pete - has anyone see him at WDW?

Sorry, have never seen it.

We have this conversation on each and every trip too!

last night I started thinking about other characters that dont even appear in the parks and here are some I came up with:

Hewy, Dewy, Louie (Donalds nephews)
Professor Ledwig Von Drake (he appears in Mickey Mouse Club too)
Flower the skunk (Thumper appears in AK but wheres Flower?)
Mr. Pricklepants (from Toy Story 3)
Basil of Baker street (from The Great Mouse Decetive)
Kevin from Up (actually that costume would be really hard to make)
The other Sally from Cars
The March Hare ( would be a nice compainon for the Hatter in the parks)
WALL-e (a remote controlled living character was made but wasnt used in the parks)

As for missing characters:

Anybody from Hercules and Hunchback
Jack Skeleton and Sally (currently disneyland only characters :headache: )
The two mice from the Rescuers (There are costumes but they just dont show up in america)
Roger Rabbit (He's gone missing, hopefully the sequel will bring him back to the studios)

That would make sense except that they usually don't seem to worry about scale with characters. Chip and Dale are supposed to be much smaller than Mickey but in the parks they are the same size as Mickey.

This is sooooo crazy....for a long time now I was wondering where is Pete? My daughter started watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse awhile ago and her favorite episode was where Pete kept Daisy in the castle...she initially was afraid of him...I even had my brother in law reinact his voice and she thought it was Pete...haha....now she likes Pete...and I looked for a stuffed Pete or something Pete related and wondered why he doesn't walk around...especially since he is featured alot past and present....My bro in law and sis asked last time they were at Disney and they were told that he's considered a "villain" and if he were to be anywhere it would be the villian store which is small and doesn't have alot...nothing pete related last time i was there..that's all they said as to why he doesn't meet and greet as well....As @ the person who started the list of non featured characters....why are these characters left out and or excluded...?
