If you know your actions make someone else's flight more uncomfortable than that is rude.
The reason I do not like recling seats are if I, or anyone else in my row, have to use the restroom it is much more difficult to get past people if someone in front of them has their seat reclined. You are invading their space enough by trying to get to the aisle, it is really bad when you have to lean over to get past the reclined seat.
Well, if someone sits next to me it makes my flight more uncomfortable than if the seat next to me were empty. Therefore, your actions of sitting in the seat next to me are rude and you should leave the plane if there is nowhere else to go on the plane.
That just makes no sense.
AND I keep it reclined during snacks because I'm hopefully still asleep. I just tell who I'm traveling with "don't wake me up, but get me a snack."
If there's little room, you say "excuse me" and apologize to the person in front of you if you're bumping into the seat.
