I'm booking on line for HDDR dinner show, I entered my reservation info and it's still asking me to pay for it now??? Why? I have the dining plan too.

The dinner shows require payment in advance. If you cancel (within a certain time) you can get your money back but you MUST pay in advance. I think the Fantasmic dinner is also pay in advance.

But we have the dining plan? :confused3

When you pick up your tickets at the hotel, you will tell them that you want to exchange your dining credits. They will refund your credit card and debit your credits. We just had to do this last week for Mickey's Backyard Bar-b-que.

I had similar situations twice in the past - Spirit of Aloha and a Candlelight Procession Package. They held the reservation with my credit card but did not charge my card. I "paid" for both dinners with my DDP credits and my card was never charged. It was my understanding that if I did not show up and did not cancel the reservation ahead of time - then they would charge my credit card for the full cost of the meals.

I just realized someone else asked and was told to just call instead. I'll make my other reservations and call on that one. Thanks!

The online system doesn't always work properly. You'll have to call.

It is not - they require a credit card guarantee but not payment in advance.

CRT and the dinner shows (HDDR, Spirit of Aloha and Mickey's Backyard BBQ) all require full payment at booking. Anything else for which they ask for a card number has a credit card guarantee and they won't charge your card unless you don't cancel and don't show up.

I booked the Fantasmic dinner package yesterday for our April trip. The CM took my credit card number and told me that my card would only be charged $10.00 per person if we did not cancel 2 days before the date.

There was the same problem with CRT. It was actually charging the credit card instead of putting it on hold. I called WDW and they were able to put the ressie through without charging my card. I also emailed Disney and they sent me a letter of apology saying it's a "kink" in their system.

I had a similar problem. Maybe you did what I did. I logged in after I put the HDDR into my shopping cart so it did not recognize my dining plan. I called and was told that they can charge it back to my CC if I show up with dining plan credits. They can not change it though without cancelling it and rebooking which I did not want to risk.

I know that CRT definitely does not require full payment . If you have correctly linked your hotel reservation and you have a dining plan, you will not be charged. It will still ask for your credit card but the 'Balance owing" is zero.

The CM I talked to yesterday, when making my ADRs said that if I made the CRT reservation online it would charge me (I have the deluxe dining plan), so I would have to call and make it. But today, I was checking online and was able to make a reservation at 8:05 breakfast at CRT:banana: without it charging me... so I'm not sure what the deciding factor is???:confused3

I made reservations for Hoop Dee Doo when we were staying off property. Since then we received a pin :goodvibes and moved on property.
Where would I pick up my tickets?

I don't know about this but did you check your category seating? I made a ressie online for our trip back in September and didn't have to pay online but when I had unknowingly chosen Category 1 seating it was coming up that I had to pay. Only category 2 and 3 seatings are covered with the dining plan. It may be different now.

If you are on the meal plan, had reservations for Hoop De Doo and decided not to go and then eat elsewhere, they would be losing out on selling that table reservation. Once you pick up your tix and it is charged to your meal plan, then it is erased form your CC.

Are you on the DDP?

I booked a Fantasmic Package as well and was told that my credit card would be charge. Now, I'm not on a DDP. But she didn't ask whether I am or not.

I can't remember the last time I booked a Fantasmic package without a DDP, so I'm not sure if I was suppose to be charged.

Since you moved on property you can go to the front desk of your WDW hotel and they will print the tickets then, this can be done up thru the day before the show. If using DDP, your credits are counted 'at that time' so be sure you are going at that point.

You can also pick them up before the show if same day, allow adequate time to go to the will call window at the show location at FW.
