Everyone has a right to complain and to vent their frustrations. This is a message board and sharing opinions is what it's all about.

Goodness knows I love sharing mine
I think some of the frustration about the complaints is that we're only complaining about the idea of the change. Those complaining haven't actually tried the food yet to decide if they like it or not.
The chicken strips caused a major uproar. Everyone thought that the new nuggets were like McDonald's. Then a few people posted that they're just like the old strips - just a bit smaller and the portion size is smaller.
People are saying that Disney is forcing people to eat healthy when they want to eat junk. That doesn't make sense to me. The change in nuggets had nothing to do with health. Face it, deep fried chicken is never good for you - no matter if it's white meat and in a smaller portion. I believe the with the nugget change Disney may want us to believe it's about health, but in my opinion it's about cost. It costs Disney less to serve a smaller portion.
There is only one change that anyone is forced to deal with and that is wheat buns. (No tofu dogs or veggie burgers yet - despite some reports of such

)
A few people last month said that they were crumbly. There is a bun thread about Casey's on this forum right now where there are two reports of people who were there recently. They said...

Must be new. I had a Casey's dog on the 7th of Feb and it was nice, soft and non-crumbly.
And I hope to get another in May.

We were there last week and ate there 2 times. The buns are wheat but soft and not dark enough that my kids could tell. They really are yummy and the difference is not noticeable. Keep in mind that Casey's is my favorite restaurant in all of WDW and if something was broke, I would definitely complain! I had nothing to complain about, believe me!
So again, maybe there was a problem with the first buns, but it's since been corrected (from the sound of it). If the buns taste the same, have the same consistency, etc., then I don't see a problem with the new buns.
I also don't see how we sitting here today can say that it's a horrible change when we haven't tried them yet. Maybe they do taste good.
If I go in a few weeks and the buns are horrible, then I will be upset that the buns are horrible. I don't care if they're wheat or white - I just care that they taste good and compliment my dog (and the toppings I put on my dog)
I do agree though, I think a lot of the venting has to do more with memories than the actual changes. I would also guess that Disney changes something every year, and every year someone has to adjust their frame of reference and find another reason to love Disney.
