Why do you always go to Disney?

What I really like about a Disney vacation is that it is not "weather-dependent". Unless a hurricane hits (which is entirely possible) your vacation will not be ruined by inclement weather. Ok, it might not be as enjoyable, but it will not be a complete loss.

I think of the folks who plan a beach vacation for a week, plop down thousands of dollars, only to have it rain every day. Then what? You're stuck in your hotel room with nothing else to do. Or you plan a trip to Six Flags or Cedar Point and it rains. Suddenly, over 50% of the rides are shut down do to weather. So much for that great vacation.

At Disney, you have plenty to do in the rain. A majority of the attractions are still open. The resorts have plenty of activities to keep you occupied on a rainy day. Or there is always DTD where you can catch a movie, do some shopping or hit Disney Quest.

No matter what the weather brings, there is always a great vacation to be had at Disney. We live in Michigan so we plan no more than one trip a year. When we have to plan far in advance and start saving for our one, big family trip, we want it to be a success, regardless of the weather. Our biggest concern is flying during the winter. For our "winter" trips, we usually drive. That way, we don't have to worry about cancelled or delayed flights.
