Why do the English wear hats on their foreheads?

Wow, Chelsea looked horrible! :scared1:

looks like she started the party a few days before everyone else.

Apparently one of the other commentators said she is supposedly getting work done on her nose due to drug use :scared1::scared1: ---< (there she is again) ;) and wore the hat to distract from her in progress nose job

All it did was prove to be a HUGE aiming device

-----> look ---->look------>my nose

Maybe she thought it would add some vertical height to her nose so it didn't look quite so swollen. :confused3

She should have asked Beatrice for help. I don't notice B's nose at all.;)

ETA: Wouldn't have been a hoot for her to be wearing B's hat in Blue! They could toss things through the donut hole and make a game of it!

Joan now said that our Blue Super Hero is wearing a certain female anatomy on her head. :scared1: ---< kinda looks like her, don't it? ;)

yep. her nose was all caved in. She was a major coke head.

In her defense, in many of the photos I have seen of her it looks like she doesn't wear much make up, like it also looks here. I think she likes more of an au natural look to her face and hair. I am not much for wearing make up but definitely look much better with it. It seems that she is the same way. But I also some other photos of her where she looked much better today. I think that picture is a combo of bad lighting, bad facial expression, bad angle and it all makes her look worse than she really did. And at least she had the good sense to wear a nice, appropriate hat, and not some ridiculous attention grabbing thing.

ETA: here is a better photo of her, still maybe not Royal Wedding standards but not nearly as bad as the other one posted: http://royalweddings.hellomagazine....on/galeria/20110429658/chelsy-davy-arrives/1/

I'm chiming in late!

But I adored all the hats & fascinators!! But, then, I'm a hat person! I used to wear one all the time on Easter Sunday, but, the last couple of years, I haven't because I was the only one wearing one & I started to feel silly. Just recently, we switched churches, &, this Easter, I was overjoyed to see 2 ladies wearing hats! So, next Easter, I may wear a hat again!! :yay:

Anyway, I do agree that Andrew's daughters' headpieces were a bit much!!! :rotfl2: I mean, really!! What were they thinking? And did no one look at them and say, "No"? The comparison to the stepsisters is apt!! :thumbsup2

And I also thought the same thing about how they carried themselves... they kinda loped out of their car at Buckingham Palace. They just look... messy. Sorta like their mother. But, one would think that someone would take them in & teach them the correct way to walk & sit... how to act like princesses.

I think some people just have "it" & some people don't. The Spencer girls looked fab & could totally carry off their fascinators. It was all in their carriage.

Me... While I loved many of the more unique headpieces, I'd be afraid that I wouldn't have "it", so I'd probably end up in a boring hat.

Oh, &, except for her dress, I thought Posh looked good... she always wear way higher heels than I ever could, but I thought her dress was a departure from her usual look.

Chelsea was Chelsea.

I was surprised the prime minister's wife didn't wear a hat.
