First, don't flame me no one should ever have their lives taken, and in the most horrific manner and that poor young child it is a tragedy

But in all the news reports you hear neighbors talk about how they didn't think anything about hearing gunshots because it was common place in the neighborhood it was obviously a bad area

Ok, so here is my comment couldn't Ms. Hudson had some sort of arrangements to move her family into some sort of better area to live?? What is fame and money for---I just feel she should have gotten/helped her family into a better area of the city---it was a bad neighborhood.

Maybe they didn't want to leave the area they knew as their home?

Who are we to judge???...we dont know their circumstances. Mom could have wanted to stay

Her mom didn't want to move. That's been mentioned in several of the articles I've read.

For all we know she begged her mom to relocate. Some people refuse to leave home when a hurricane or fires rage toward their house and they know death is a certain possibility.

I read/heard over the weekend that the family did not want to leave their home and relocate.

That's just so judgmental.

While I agree they were not living in the best of neighborhoods. Sadly I don't think it would have mattered where they were living. This doesn't seem to be a random act.:sad2: Such a sad, tragic thing, my heart goes out to her and her family.:sad1:

It appears that the sister's ex-husband may have been involved so this could have happened anywhere regardless of where they lived.

She has stated before that her mother did not want to leave that area.

And we all know that domestic violence doesn't happen just in dangerous areas. This incident is not related to the neighborhood at all. Moving them to the 'burbs would not have stopped a violent domestic dispute.

Oh please! Her sister who has a lovely Myspace page CHOSE to get involved with said felon instead of looking out for her kid, she was just thinking of herself and all she has now is herself.

Yes, harsh, but I cannot stand women who started seeing a guy and subject their kids to whatever.

My friend has a DD10 just her and the kid and she would date but not really subject her kid to it. Then a few months ago, she meets this guy who was 31 lived with his parents because of financial troubles, quickly becomes pregnant and moves this guy in. Oh and this guy has 2 kids by 2 different relationships, um that is hot-not. I am sure I would move some guy in of hardly knowing him around my DD. Needless to say, we arent' close anymore.

I don't think its judgemental. The neighbors said they heard gunshots that morning, the bodies weren't found until late in the afternoon due to a relative stopping by. I would think it isn't a great neighborhood either if they hear gunshots on a regular basis and don't report them.

I also heard the Mom didn't want to leave the neighborhood. What a tragedy. The family is in my prayers.

Mother maybe, but was she supposed to support adult siblings and their families?

I think even cousins lived with Hudsons mom.

BINGO! I am sure she will change her myspace soon, but she really wasn't into her child when he was alive:guilty:

What a sad story. That poor little boy.

Jhud's deceased brother was a gangster. He was proud of it and boasted it on his website.

Not a good environment for a child. Someone should have stepped in and saved the little boy:guilty:

Just because it was a bad neighborhood doesn't mean that Jennifer wasn't willing to help them move elsewhere. To blame her for her mother living there is ridiculous. I'm sure she WOULD have used her fame and fortune. Her mother didn't want to.

How is it NOT judgmental? Have you ever tried to make someone do something they didn't want to do?

I have not read her my space page and probably will not. But what did she say that makes you think she wasn't into her son? Just curious.

I posted this on another thread already. I don't think Jennifer has that much money yet, to move mom into a great, new home. It's a lot for us, but she's only done a couple movies, (Sex & The City was a supporting role.) Her first new album was just released. She doesn't command a multi-million dollar salary like Julia Roberts or Angelina. It takes a lot to afford all those new clothes, be seen in the right places, have a stylist, publicist, film agent, etc.

Her mom may have been worried Jennifer's fame may quickly die out. (It has happened to other Oscar winners: Marisa Tomei, Marlee Matlin, Holly Hunter, who never quite stayed on the A-list, in spite of the Oscar.) Maybe, she wouldn't have wanted Jennifer spending the money on her. (Jennifer is also newly engaged & embarking on a new life.) Living in a ghetto, it may be hard to believe you won't suddenly wake up & find it was all just a wonderful dream you were having about one daughter - especially if the other children are still courting danger, & living a gang banger life. There may also be issues of feeling non-deserving, just wouldn't accept her child spending money on her.

And as it turned out, this is a domestic case. The mother & brother were each unarmed, and shot multiple times, which usually signifies someone close to the victims, acting emotionally. If it turns out to be the BIL, location doesn't matter.
