Why did WDW stop the Easter parade which use to be on ABC

I know WDW has not broadcasted the Easter parade for a few years now, but I am just curious why it stopped? Is it because the Christmas parade got better ratings, so ABC decided to cancel the Easter one or was this WDW's decision?

Because WDW stopped the Easter parade in 2000.

My daughter just asked me this the other day - why no Easter parade? I didnt know the answer, so why did WDW stop the easter parade? In saying that I do think Easter should be regarded as a quieter holiday with not all the fanfare that Halloween and Christmas gets but just out of interest would love to know what WDW's take on stopping it was!

I was wondering the same thing too. I thought they had just stopped airing it. I never knew since 2000 that they had stopped having the parade at WDW. I have never been to WDW during Easter, so I had no clue the parade was no more.

I actually miss it. As a kid, just like with the Christmas parade, I looked forward to watching the Easter Parade from WDW on TV.

I too am curious why they stopped having it. Hopefully someone out there knows the answer and will post.
