Why aren't the Monorails expanded???

I don't think they should do away with the busses all together. I just think it would be nice if they connected all four parks by monorail. It would save having to take a bus to the TTC and then get on another bus when you are going between certain parks. I also believe that Disney has plenty of money coming in. They could afford to expand the monorail if they really wanted to.

The only time you need to go to the TTC between parks is when going between Epcot and MK. There is a direct bus between the Studios/Spcot, Studios/Animal Kingdom, and Animal Kingdom/Epcot.

I don't know about you, but if Disney is going to spend a billion dollars at WDW, I'd MUCH rather it be put into new attractions instead of a redundant way to go between parks.

Agreed. We love the monorail and try to make a point of riding it at least once every trip, but I don't love it to the point where I'd want to see other things underfunded (or not funded at all) just so I can ride it to other places.

The monorail was an ideal transportation solution back in the days when MK was the only park and there wasn't much more than the three resorts on the track. Adding the Epcot track when the park opened made sense too as at the time there still wasn't a whole lot else. However, there's just too much out there now (in terms of parks, resorts, and annual visitors) for the monorails to feasibly carry the lion's share of the transportation burden.
