I think there are a few rude people-name calling, personal attacks, What I am tired of are the people who ask an oppinion and if you don't agree with them or the majority you are called rude or mean. A debate/discussion has two sides and as long as you aren't doing the above I consider it informative to see how others interpret a situation. I also think it is easy to come across a lot sharper than people mean to because of no intonation of voice or posture and people tend to mince words when they are typing.

And like I tell my kids the world isn't always kind.

ITA. Well I guess I can come across mean at times and yes there's been times I have apoligized for my behavior. Sometimes I have been on medicine that was not condusive to me being on the computer.
