Hi. We are heading to Disney in 16 days and will be packing a decent amount of protein powder for quick morning shakes. Why on earth in this day and age of smaller packaging does protein powder still come in an enormous tub but when you open it up it is not even half full. If the package size actually reflected the contents we might be able
to pack it in a checked bag but we will have to use zip lock bags instead. Just a funny thought.

GNC sells them in bags - just only can get a few days from them - they are annoying

Protein shakes are a staple for us, my wife and I are into bodybuilding. The reason why they are in such big tubs is that people who typically use protein powder use it often, so it's better to buy in bulk. Just like with a big bag of chips, I think the air is in there to help with freshness and to protect the product in shipping. We stay offsite, so we either just pack it in the car or go buy it at the local Costco down there. We also use liquid protein shakes when we travel. They come in small school milk size containers (single serve) and you can buy them in packages of 6. Walmart sells them. I forget the exact brand, I can check when I get home if you want. They're a bit more expensive than the powder, but are super convenient.

I know! Funny story; we were going back to our favorite resort in Jamaica so we messaged our Butler and asked if we could bring him anything. Something that might be expensive/hard to get in his country. He said he wanted this protein powder. So we ordered two from Amazon. When it arrived...holy carp! We were planning on doing just carry on for 2 weeks. We made it work though, and he got us bumped up to the Oceanfront Honeymoon Suite.

I put my protein powder in the portion-control plastic bags that you can find at your grocery store. They are much skinnier and easy to carry if you are bringing a lot.

Order some packets from Unjury. They have a starter kit that is a pretty good value, and they taste amazing.
