Day 8 part 2

We waited with batted breath while kids were chosen, we raised our hand and jumped up and down and bit.

And Johnny was chosen!! Phew!!!

He was sooooo excited!!!

I took a lot of pictures! A lot! So I’m going to let the pictures do the talking! Sorry for the quality of some them! The sun was right in our faces!!

TROUBLE!






Vader was looking for new recruits for the darkside! He asked Ryan to join!



Then it was time to battle!









Vader was defeated!!!



Johnny was now officially a Jedi training graduate, certificate and all! He’s my little Padawan! He was sooooo happy! I think it really made his vacation!

The kiddos took turns on the speeder nearby





and we decided to stop for some lunch! Lunch!? Didn’t we just have breakfast!? Yes, but standing in the sun waiting made us a bit tired and we need to sit in a nice, cool place!

We went off to ABC Commissary! We ate here back in 05 and weren’t very impressed. Luckily, they have changed the menu and it was a lot more enjoyable! It was nice to sit and rest and have a nice cold soda!

We ate a nice lunch of cheeseburgers, chicken nuggets and fires, we’re adventurous eaters aren’t we?

Then it was off to the Great Movie Ride! DD loves this ride for some reason. I’m not sure why! I think the only movie that it references that she’s ever seen is Indiana Jones! She wants to watch Wizard of Oz but when I was a kid I was petrified of the flying monkeys!!! So I’m hesitant! LOL!!

After GMR I stopped and took a picture of the work being done on the hat. It actually looked like they were polishing it like you would a car



Then it was time to grab a spot for Block Party Bash! ​

We found a good spot in the shade and we wait a short about a half an hour. A very, very rude lady decided to stand behind us. She thought, for some reason, that we would move for her even though we had been waiting! She even made a comment to her husband that “I guess I won’t be seeing the parade!” Even though he didn’t have DH filled in a small empty space next to our stollers and sat on the ground. Crabby lady was happy! (I would have used a different word but it’s a family board )

Dh and I are really not fans of this parade. It just doesn’t do it for us! But the kiddos enjoy it!












After BPB we were able to catch the new showing of the Little Mermaid! I really enjoy that show! Then it was off to use our FP for TSM!!!

We waited on the FP line FOREVER! I mean like 30 - 40 minutes!! It was crazy!! Hello! FAST pass?!

But we enjoyed the ride as much as we did the first time!!!!

Then it was time to discuss again! We had a dinner ADR for Tony’s in MK. But we really didn’t do World Showcase so we decided to skip Tony’s and head to Epcot! I stopped at Guest Services on the way out and cancelled the ressie and we were on our way!

We took the boat to Epcot! It was a very nice ride! We even saw the Tree Houses!!! I missed getting a picture because I had put my camera away

We entered Epcot the backway and took a nice leisurely stroll around! The kiddos enjoyed the fun stops, DH and enjoyed some adult beverages and we snacked for dinner! We had some funnel cake, DH ate a turkey leg, the kiddos had hot dogs and I had some nachos in Mexico! I was dying for nachos all week and those nachos were goooooood!!! DH went to the counter to get them for me and when he brought them back I thought there was no way I was going to be able to eat nachos with so much stuff on them. But all the stuff made them that much better!!! OMG soooo good! Next time I have to have them with a Margarita!

I love WS, especially at night! So beautiful!! I also love the way Spaceship Earth looks at night!



After we made our way around the world we decided to head back to WL and get out of Epcot before Illuminations started. As we made our way toward Spaceship Earth Johnny took a turn for the worse and got very mad at me for something, I believe whether or not it was his turn to ride in the stroller, and proceeded to yell at me and call me an idiot! OMG! My sweet, wonderful little boy!! What happened??! I was sooooo mad and upset!! I calmly took him by the arm and took him into the companion bathroom. Then I washed his mouth out with a wee bit of soap! He learned a very valuable lesson that night

We got a bus back to WL quickly and were back before we knew it!! Then off to bed!!! ​

Dang Marathoners, lol, I want to go for marathon weekend to race, lol. I was planning 2010 but I think it will have to wait until 2011 now, my cousin is getting married in December 2009 now, congrats to him, but not our WDW money will be spent heading to California for the wedding. Not so bad though since we may do a day at Disneyland while we are there.

Great updates, so glad Johnny got picked for Jedi training, so cute.

We aren't very adventurous eaters either, so even though we haven't even taken our first family trip to WDW I constantly debate the dining plan back and forth. Haven't come to any decision yet.

Great pics of the parade, looks like you got a good spot. I've heard mixed reviews of that parade, not sure if its worth it. But you said your kids love it, so maybe the kids enjoy it and not the adults so much.

Nah! I think Disney just needs to plan for extra buses marathon mornings! It was neat to see all the people with their marathon tees on and their medals! It wasw very impressive! Especially the people we saw walking around MK on Sunday after having run the 1/2 on Saturday and the full on Sunday! WOW!! There's a special name for that but I can't think of it! I think it maybe somthing about Goofy That's very cool that your going to run! I'll come route you on

Hmm! I don't know!

We had a great day! Especially my little jedi! The Nachos were soo good!! YUMMY!!! I'd love to try a maragrita and the nachos next week but I don't know that I'll have room! We have a 12 pm lunch ADR at Coral Reef and a 7 pm dinner ADR at Le Cellier! I didn't have maragrita with them in January because I had had beer in a few countries already

I'll definitely be having a maragrita or 3 but I'm not sure of the nachos!

Sorry I've been MIA the past few days! I've been very busy with all sorts of stuff! The important thing is that all my stuff is packed, except the things that can't go into till last minute! DH's stuff isn't packed but I'm not going to stress about it!

I got thrown off with all the stuff I wanted to do before we left because my neck, from the thyroid thing, has been KILLING me! After talking to the doctor the other day I decided to go ahead and get it removed. With the family history and the pain I can't see leaving it. DH was happy I decided to go ahead with having it removed even though he wouldn't tell me thats what he wanted me to do!

On top of the literal pain in the neck I got a huge migraine yesterday and started running a fever!! OMG! It was 101.6 last night before I went to bed. When I got up this morning I felt better and went on about what I needed to do today, including get my haircut, then my noon I was running a fever again! 102!! OMG!! I'm going to go see my primary care Dr tomorrow! The thing is I feel fine now other then the fever aches and pains! What's up with that!?! So now I'm nervous that I have some sort of strange infection from the thyroid biopsy! But that was a week and half ago so I doubt it. Just goes to show! DH and I have bad luck! He got the flu on our honeymoon!!

Anyway! Today is our actual anniversary! I can't believe we've been married 10 years!

I posted this picture before but it's my favorite!


I'm still hoping to have the TR finished before we go That way when we get back I can jump into the new TR!​

I went to the Dr this morning even though I feel 300% better. I figure if, god forbid, the freak fever came back I'd want to have seen a dr!!

He wasn't really sure what it was and thought it may have been a quick virus. He took some blood just to double check everything is in proper order and was also going to run it for lymes disease and other things just in case. He gave me an RX for antibotics to take if the fever comes backs while we're away!

I feel much better having all my bases covered!!
