Ouch! I remember when Lydia had Roseola. I swear she cried for a whole weekend straight! I hope he gets over the fever part soon, when the rash comes, it's really not so bad anymore.

He's been cranky thats for sure! But the fever hasn't been too bad. I'm not sure that he actually has Roseola. DH and I think that it may have something to do with the fact that he's cutting all four canine teeth at once!

Sooo, a little background on DH and I!

DH and I met in college, Febuary 3rd 1995 to be exact! We met at a party that neither one of us was supposed to be at! But, due to snow that cancelled a road trip and a local crackdown on underage consumption we were both in the right place at the right time.

I know it sounds corny but the second I saw him I knew he was the man I was going to marry!

We got engaged June 2th 1997 on the beach at the end of our street!

We graduated college in May of 1998!

We got married March 20th 1999!

Here are a few pictures of us on our wedding day!




The second one is one of my favorites!! It really shows exactly how I was feeling at that moment! We were officially married and had a second of time and I really just want to “be” with my new hubby and take a break if only for a second. It was a completely candid shot. We sat down while the photographer changed film or something and that was the result!

I look at those pictures now and I don’t think I look much different. There’s a little more of me now that’s for sure but other than that I think I look the same. But, DH! I feel like he looks like a baby!! Sooooo young!!!

A lot has happened in the 10 years we’ve been married! Not necessarily in this order; I’ve lost 2 jobs, we’ve had our financial up’s and down’s, we lived with DH’s parents for 8 months while our house was being built with 2 little ones, did the house (DH and his dad did a lot of the work themselves and we did all of the interior painting/staining etc ourselves), I had a cancer scare, car accident, a miscarriage, a baby in the NICU, postpartum depression etc, etc

Not to mention 3 kids

DD7 and DS6 were born 20 months apart. DS6 was a HUGE surprise to us. DS1was actually the only one we planned! Women in my family tend to be fertile

Now it’s time for a break and a little time to reconnect!

I am a little bit scared that we may have to cancel the trip due to the current economic situation DH’s business, he’s a professional engineer, and owns his own business, relies on people building homes, buying homes and doing work on their homes. Luckily for us DH does 95% of his works in the Hamptons. All of the people are super-duper rich and when you have that kind of money losing some of it doesn’t matter all that much. Must be nice! I keep praying that his clients don’t stop their work!!

I haven’t mentioned maybe having to cancel the trip to DH because he tends to be a lot more frugal then me. Actually, I nicknamed him the money police. If I mention it he may take me up on it! Thankfully, our January trip was paid off a few weeks ago so I’m that one’s in the bag! I’m hoping that things won’t come to cancelling the trip!

I’m hoping that if our situation takes a hit we can make some adjustments and still go. I think DH knows I need this trip!

DS1 has never been much of a sleeper! I think the child thinks sleeping is for sissies or something! It’s terrible! He’s a super-good, very happy baby. He always has been.

Side note; like the glasses? There new! Getting old sucks!

Anyway, I ’m suffering from a complete lack of sleep and am getting completely run down! If I don’t get away I may go completely loony!!!

I’m apprehensive to leave the kiddos. We’ve only ever left them for 1 night and we haven’t done that since the baby arrived! This will be 4 nights, almost 5 full day! I may get a little home/mommy sick!

So last night, actually in the wee early hours of this morning , while dealing with a 1 year old who just won't sleep I had one of those light blub moments

For some reason I always think of things in the middle of the night. When I was a working mom I used to wakeup in the middle of the night thinking about work! It was terrible! But I disgress...

I've told the kiddos about 1 million times that Christmas this year is going to be a lot less then in the past. "Santa knows were going to WDW right after christmas and knows how lucky you guys are to have all the things you have. He's going to give more to kid who need it." That's my speech.

I wanted to give them a few things for Disney. I bought a few things on ebay, pins (my kiddos are big pin traders) autograph books, WDW coloring books. I'm also going to most likely go to the Disney store and get some Disney Dollars and a few small things.

I thought last night that I should put the Disney things in a bag together with a note that it's a christmas present from Mickey because he misses them and can't wait to see them again! I think they'll completely flip with excitement!!

Yippeeee!!! At least something good comes from no sleep!

Great idea about the Mickey presents. Do you have Doller Tree stores there? Ours here have lots of Disney stuff. I got several things to hand out during our 7hr drive to WDW to keep the kids busy.

I loved your t-shirt designs and your sewing skills were so cute.You did a great job.

It is at times like this that I wish my sons were still little or I wish they would hurry up and let me pick them out wives so I could be a grandmother.But of course they say this is not the way it works , little do they know that I have my plans for their future mapped all out.
I can barely handle planning and waiting for one vacation let alone for 3.You need a vaction from vacation planning.
If you get bored and have too much time on your hands come on over and we will chat.I am always checking my posts to see if anyone has posted.

Thanks ladies!! I love looking at my wedding pictures! I'm actually slowly working on a scrapbook. DH and I saved some $$ when we got married and hired an old teacher of mine to do our pictures. We got every single picture she took and the copyright to them but we didn't get traditional wedding albums. Sometimes we both regret that!

I talked to DH about the grownup trip yesterday afternoon and we're SAFE! He asks all of the people he works with how things are looking for them and no one is slowing down. He's not either. He can work 60 - 80 hours a weeks and still be busy as all get out. We did agree that if something change drastically, which we don't think it will, we'd change to a Mod or Value and do the Poly thing in the future. DH also told me not to just buy airfare on SW because he likes to fly from our local airport. If I can get a cheaper deal we can fly from Kennedy or LaGuardia. That shocks me cause DH hates to fly and hates both those airports! We have a smaller regional airport that is super convinent and a lot easier. We'll see!

I actually got a decent nights sleep last night! DS only fully wokeup once! Thank you, thank you! DH got up with the kiddos and I slept until 9!!!!

Khalana, them not sleeping really gets me down in the dumps too! It's never a good thing! I hope that once those teeth cut he'll be a good boy and sleep for me! He's such a cute and such a little love! He's a smarty pant too! He likes to talk! He says yes, no, the dog, mama, dada and da, Da is Mickey Mouse I just can't imagine why such a cute little, good baby won't sleep

AUdisfan thanks for the idea of Dollar Tree! We don't have one too close but I know where one is and it on my way to a class I have to take to be a Girl Scout leader. I'm taking the class Tuesday, so I'm definitely going to stop!!

Now that I know that our March trip is secure, all this stuff onthe news about the economy just really scares me, I can get on with telling all my Diser friends all about!

WARNING! I may gush a little in this report! I'm kinda excited!

So, the grownup trip plan!!!! I can’t even believe in my own little heart and head that DH and I are going to WDW alone!!!

The idea just makes me complete giddy with excitement!

Now that you know a little about us and have seen a few of our wedding pics I get on with the trip!

DH and I started talking sometime around our last trip to the place where magic lives about going away for our anniversary. After tossing around a few ideas we decided on WDW!! Which is where I wanted to go in the first place but figured DH would think I was nuts, which really I am but I try to keep it a secret from DH

This will give us the opportunity to do a lot of things we haven’t done before and wouldn’t get to do with the kiddos!

We are booked to stay in a lagoon view, concierge room at the Polynesian March 23- 27th!! I’m sooooo excited!!

I truly can’t wait to see this from our balcony!

I LOVE to take the WDW boats! (I find them very relaxing!)

OK, I know, enough already!

I’m just super excited, with a little guilt and apprehension about not taking the kiddos, for this trip! I can’t wait to stay at Poly! We’ve never stayed there and it looks so nice! We were supposed to stay there on our last trip but changed to GF because the pool at Poly was closed.

I spoke a lovely lady at the Concierge Itinerary Planning Office for Poly about a week and a half ago. Even though I can’t make any ADR’s because of the computer system switch she took all the info on everything I wanted and told me that they would handle it the morning the system is back up and assured me we’d get everything we wanted!! Yippeee I didn’t know they did that!

Here’s how the plan looks right now!

Monday, March 23rd – We’ll take the very first flight to Orlando out of our local airport. I believe it leaves at 6:15 am. We always fly Southwest so I haven’t purchased the tickets yet. Our dates haven’t been released. We’ll take a limo/car service from MCO to Poly. We’re only staying a short time! I need to get there asap! We’ll check-in, go in search of Kona Coffee because I don’t think the coffee in the concierge lounge is Kona and take the monorail to MK!!

I have all these visions in my head of this trip! One of them is walking hand-in-hand with DH up Main Street!

We’ll take our time and enjoy a few rides and just take in the magic!

We’ll head back to the Poly when our room is ready for some rest!

I gave the IPO lady a request for a 6 pm dinner ADR at Kona for dinner. This is a first for us!

My plan for after dinner includes one of those yummy looking drinks I posted a picture of, a walk on the beach (but we won’t get to close to the water cause I read a post about gators!) and watching Wishes from the balcony!

Tuesday, March 24th – Oh boy!! I’m super excited for this! I’m going to have a 50 minute personalized massage at the GF spa this morning!! I love, love, love, do you understand how much I LOVE, getting a massage! DH didn’t want one, silly boy He had a massage on our honeymoon and the ladies who did them did a terrible job. He won’t do it again! I’m sooooo looking forward to starting the first full day of our vacation this way!

After that I’ll have DH met me and we’ll head to Epcot!

This is another thing I’m excited for, imagine me excited! It will be our first Flower and Garden Show! The pictures I’ve seen of past shows are beautiful and I just read some info for 09! It’s a Cinderellabration theme! We’ll take in all the beautiful things to see, ride Soarin, which will most likely be the only must do in Future World, and then roam the World Showcase! I LOVE, imagine me loving something Disney, the World Showcase and it’s a little hard really take it in with the kiddos!

I requested a 6pm ADR for Le Cellier! Another first for us!

Illuminations is at 9 then it’s EMH! More roaming and an adult beverage or 2! Yippeee!!!

Wednesday, March 25th - We are going on an 8:30 am Keys to the Kingdom tour! Imagine, I’m really excited about this!!! DH has done it before, I have not! I was supposed to go with DH on our March 08 trip but because both DS’s were sick FIL went in my place. I’m really glad I get a second chance to do it and DH can’t wait for me to experience it!

I requested a 5:30 dinner ADR at Artist Point. Yet another first! Imagine, I’m not really excited about this. But, DH is! I’m not a fish person, I can’t see myself ordering the famous Cedar-Plank Salmon. DH wants to order the Buffalo Steak. I’m sorry, I just can’t see myself eating that either. But, I’ll order something and I’m sure I’ll like it. Not to mention I LOVE WL! So, even if I hate my dinner it won’t be a waste!

After dinner we’ll head back to MK for SpectroMagic at 9, unless they change the parade to FantIllusion as rumor has it, then we’ll watch that! Then Wishes at 10 we’ll slowly leave the park and head to the monorail to get back home to Poly!

Thursday, March 26th – We’ll start the morning by taking the bus to AK! I requested a 10am Wildlife Discover Excursion trip with IPO! Shhhhhh! DH doesn’t know about this! It’s a surprise! He had mentioned to me, when we saw it on one of the WDW shows on the Travel Channel, that he’d like to do that at some point!

After that we’ll probably see FOTLK, I LOVE this show! And maybe Nemo. Then we’ll take the bus to AKL maybe look around a bit, we stayed there in 05. Then take another bus to DHS. They only things we really need to do here is go to the shop outside of Star Tours to get DS6 a really cool present! He is a HUGE Star Wars fan! I need to see Sorcerer Mickey!! I love Mickey sooo much and Sorcerer Mickey is my favorite Mickey! I’m going to try to get to see him in January but I also want to see him again and get my very own, no else in it, picture of us!

After that we’ll head back to Poly and get ready for dinner!

Dinner tonight will be our actually anniversary celebration dinner and I’m, imagine, very excited! I requested a 8:30 ADR at California Grill!! That’s really late for us to eat dinner but Wishes is at 10 and I can’t wait to see it from there!! We’ll just have to make sure we have snack during the day!

Friday March 27th – Today we go home! I think I’ll probably be missing the kiddos by now and be ready to go home! But first, I requested a 9:30 am (looking at that now I don’t know what the heck I was thinking 9:30! I’m going to call and change the request to 8 or 8:30!) breakfast ADR at Kona! Tonga Toast and a press pot of Kona Coffee here I come!! After that we’ll head to MK for a little and do our favs one more time! HM, POTC, PhilHarMagic, and do any finally shopping!

Then back to Poly! Probably get a snack in the lounge and wait for the car to pick us up! We’ll most likely be taking a flight that leaves after 5pm and we’ll get home to our kiddos around 9 pm! They probably never go to sleep that night! I’m sure they’ll want to know all the goodies we brought back for them!


Whew!! That's a lot! I hope I did bore you guys!!

Don't be afraid of the buffalo steaks. Buffalo is really good.

When I first started planning my TA told me that going without the kids is such a different experience it's amazing! I really think I'm more excited about March then January, but don't tell the kids!

I may try the buffalo. I really don't know why I'm apprehensive about it! I've had vension many times. Like I said, I LOVE WL so no matter what all will be good!

I can't wait for the massage! My DH and MIL always give me gift certificates to have a massage at a local day spa and it's soooo nice! Even to just go for an hour and be pampered! My favorite massage is a hot stone massage! It's all the goodness of a massage with the wonderful feeling of warnth like you get from a heating pad or letting the hot shower just run on you!

Ryan knows he's cute!! He's such a flirt!! MIL can't wait to have him in March! When my other 2 where little I was still working so she was our babysitter! She misses having them and wishes she had him too!

He's much better, thank you! He slept better Monday and Tuesday night and last night HE SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!!

Welcome back Jen!! I hope everything is going well with you back to work! I can't wait for the grown up trip! 5 MONTHS FROM TODAY!!!!!! You inspired my calendar! DD and I made a paper chain once and it took forever to make and was terribly long! This works out a lot better!
