I wanted to check out your TR too, and it's great!! I LOVE the outfits you guys wore!!And I'm SO envious that you get to take a trip by yourselves too. I would totally love to do that with DH. *sigh* Maybe someday.

Aww, thanks! I was soooo happy with the way those pictures came out!! I go the CD but it was a special deal with the package, I think it was $25 extra not $100 or whatever insane amount of money they charge. It worked out well because we have a big family and everyone wants pics!
I can't wait for our grownup trip! Truthfully, I think I'm looking forward to that more then January. When I first reserved it I was a little leary to leave the kids at home. But, from talking to people who have gone without the little ones I know we're gonna have a fabulous time!! The thing I'm looking forward to the most is a drink in my hand, on a hammock on the beach at Poly looking at the castle!
LOL!! With my older son I shave his head, not all the way bald, every 8 weeks or so! It's soo much easier!! I'm thinking of letting it grow a bit and having his haircut too. But, that leaves DD out because we aren't doing Bippidi Boppidi Boutique this time. He may just do the colored hair gel and glitter! We'll see!

Ugghhhh!! Im longing for WDW right now! Its completely freezing here today!!! Its around 60 degrees but really windy and Im chilled to the bone! DD has soccer this afternoon, Im hoping I can get DH to take her or I may freeze to death!! 93 days until our January trip, 172 until our March trip!
Anyway, Ill stop babbling and well get on to the real deal!
Day 4, Tuesday, January 6th, Today is kind of a tossup when it comes to the morning. Id like to say well sleep a little late but thats hard for us. DH and I have the grownup cant sleep late thing going on, me much more so then DH. The kiddos are used to getting up early for school. Well see what time we head out to AK!
We have 4 must do attractions in AK. FOTLK, Kali River Rapids, Kilimanjaro Safari and the Nemo Musical. We missed Nemo last time and Im dying to see it!! DS may want to ride EE, yikes! If he wants to go Ill be the one to go with him! DH get motion sick super easily! Im just not a roller coaster person. Im not sure if hell do it for real. He talks about it. But, he may chicken out. Not to mention I worried about his tummy. He got very, very sick on one flight and dry heaved on another (sorry TMI) I really dont want him getting sick on me on a rollercoaster!
Well see what we can get in before its time for dinner. We may take the bus from AK to AKL and then AKL to DTD depending on what time we arrived at AK and when we can get stuff done! We have a 6 pm Planet hollywood dinner ADR. But, as I said in the post about my ADRs we are really intending on and trying for T Rex Café for DS!
After dinner well do one of my favorites things. SHOP!! The thing I like the most about this part is it involves 2 of favorite things at once! Shopping and Disney!! Hmmmm, as you may have guessed DH doesnt enjoy this part as much as I do! DS and DD love Legos so well definitely have to go to the Lego store and head to WOD. Well see what else, maybe Once Upon a Toy, Goofys Candy Shop, etc DD and DS have saved A LOT of $$$ (over $400 a piece at this point!) and I know it will be burning a hole in their little pockets!
Then it will be back to WL for bed!
Day 5, Wednesday, January 7th, Today we head to Epcot!! Well hit all of our Future World favs. Soarin, Living with the Land (Ok DS Johnny hates this ride but the rest of us, especially DD love it) Spaceship Earth, The Living Seas.
Then well head to World Showcase and take in some of the world before our 6:05 pm dinner at Akershus. This is a first for us!!! Im not really sure what to expect, aside from princesses! Thats what were in it for anyway. Princesses!! DD was not happy that we had no princess meals and saw very few princesses on our last trip. This is to make amends for that! Weve done CRT twice and we thought wed try a different, less expensive approach this trip!
Illuminations is at 9 and is a must do!
Then well join the masses and try to exit

About getting back to the hotel after Illuminations - we actually discovered that slowly meandering back to the bus area after the show works well. We had originally planned our viewing spot with the thought of bolting for the bus, but that didn't work. We were much too busy watching the show to pack up, so we had too much to do after the show was over. We just packed the kids in and slowly wandered toward the exit. It REALLY helped that all of our kids were in strollers so that I didn't have to worry about losing anyone in the masses!
It really was quite a crowd. We ended up stopping at the big pin stand near Mouse Works and shopping a bit on our way out. Then, by the time we returned our stroller and got all the way out to the ASMo bus stop, we were right at the front of the line for the next bus - it was great! Now, I don't think that will work in the summers as well, but it was perfect during the off season, and that's when you're headed out. You might want to try it!

Day 6, Thursday, January 8th, well get up early, hopefully, and head to MK! Well spend the day in MK doing all we havent done and doing our favs over and over and over again! We may head back to WL for a swim or a rest.
We always say were going to take a break but we rarely do! LOL! We just cant drag ourselves from the parks!! Especially MK! But well see! We have a 5:05 ADR for Chef Mickeys! This is a must do for us. Weve done it every trip and wouldnt miss it! Some of my best WDW memories have come out of Chef Mickey dinners!! Take a look at the picture thats my avatar! Its my youngest meeting Mickey for the first time at Chef Mickey last trip! He was 9 months at the time! I have a 5 x 7 framed on the wall in our living room! It makes me sooooo happy everytime I look at that picture!!!
After dinner well take the monorail back to MK to catch SpectroMagic!!
The thing about SpectroMagic is IVE NEVER SEEN IT!!!! The horror!!!
The first night of our 05 trip, way back when we were rookies, we basically stumbled upon it trying to make our way through the hub. It was way too crowded to even see anything! Our 06 trip there was only 1 night that it played the whole week and we had an ADR someplace else. Our trip in March I swore I wouldnt leave without seeing it. But, the only night that really fit our schedule was the first night. We did Spirit of Aloha that night and it we froze our little hinnies off!! It was 42 degrees out and we needed to go back to the room and warm up!
After Spectro well watch Wishes and head back to WL.
Day 7, Friday, January 9th is the day well head home! Terrible! Im hoping to book a bounceback so that may lighten the blow!
We have a 8:20 am Breakfast ADR @ Crystal Palace! Weve never done breakfast here so Im excited! Weve done 2 dinners and 1 lunch. I almost didnt book CP for this trip but I felt like it wasnt a trip without a meal with Pooh and friends! It brings back a lot of great memories! It was our first meal our first trip in 05! My older DS was 2 at the time and kept saying wheres Tigger? over and over again! When Tigger came DS gave him a giant hug! I have a great pictures of DS completely covered in Tigger!! It was our first meal on our 06 trip also and my sister, her DH and their son joined us. The kids had a blast!! It was my nephews first trip and he was so excited! On our trip in March we mixed it up a bit and we ate lunch there right before we left. DD realized as we finished lunch that we were leaving and got teary eyed
Im not sure how were going to get there though! I know the boat from WL to MK wont be running that early. We had that experience in 06 trying to get to CRT for breakfast. We can take the boat to the Contemporary and then take the monorail, which is what we did in 06. I may bite the bullet and take a cab.
After breakfast well do whatever we want in MK. We definitely have to do HM and philharmagic (my favorite) one more time. Well see what else!
Then well head back to WL for ME. Our flight leaves at 5:15 so I figure well have to leave WL at 2:15ish? Then well fly the skies with SW home to NY!
There you have it!! My plan for January!! I may add a breakfast at WCC on Monday the 5th or Tuesday the 6th.
I have to call the Itinerary Planning office for WL! I got the paperwork in the mail the other day! I got soo excited to get something for our trip in the mail!! Ill they can make the WCC ADR for me and Ill see if they can make me reservation for T-Rex for DS.
Im also going to put in a room request while Im on the phone with them. Im hoping to get a room facing MK. Rooms on the 7th floor in the north tower that face MK can see a bit of Cinderellas Castle and WISHES!!!! Yippeeee!!!

I have to tell you, when I saw you are going 2x in such a short period, I thought BRAT! LOL!
I,too have been thinking about a 'adult' only trip for my 30th B-day (3/10) but worry I will miss the kids and feel guilty about not taking them!!!! I guess we will have to see....well that and there may be another family member by then who will need to be attached to my chest!!!!!
Maybe I'll seee how your crew did and then go from there!

Hey, I swear I posted a reply to you and it isn't here!?! Well, just goes to show, I've completely lost my mind!!
Anyway! I do kind of feel like a brat with 2 trips in a such a short amount of time! But, I guarantee it will never happen again! Unless DH finally agrees to DVC. With the economy the way it is I think that maybe awhile until DVC!
Our January trip is helping my guilt for going without the kiddos! I'm a little worried how their going to react when the time actually comes! Their ok with it now but I think things will change the night before! When I had DS1 DD7 and DS6 freaked out the night before because they didn't want me to leave them and go to the hospital the next morning! I promised to bring them back some cool presents. That may help

Like I said I’ve been very busy making lots of stuff for our trip! I showed DH all the stuff I made and he told me it was very nice and I make cool things BUT prefaced the compliments with “You have too much free time on your hands.”
Are you kidding me?! That caused a bit of a tiff between DH and I. DH should know me better then to think I’m going to take the comment lying down and not get mad at him!
I’m a SAHM with 3 kids, 7, almost 6 and 1. Not to mention our handful of a 9 month old yellow lab puppy, who because I went upstairs earlier to put away the laundry with the baby and left him alone peed on the couch!!
DS6 just started full day kindergarten, which does free up a lot of my time. But, DS1 is coming into his own and is a real buster! (I’ll post a video of him dancing to the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme soon!)
Creativity is my outlet! Scrapbooking, learning to sew etc. Gives me something to do besides laundry, cleaning and being super mommy!
Tell me I have too much free time on my hands!! My DH owns his own business and works from home. He calls into me at least twice a day to tell me what he just read on Fox News, CNN, or ESPN. Hmmmmm maybe you should be working dear! Maybe you have too much free time on your hands!
Anyway, enough venting! So, here what I’ve made!!
Like I said, I’m learning/teaching myself how to sew! It’s going pretty well so far! So I made DD and DS6 each a small travel pillow with cute flannel Mickey fabric!
I’m making DS1 a blanket to match but haven’t finished it yet.
I made shirts for the kids for our travel day;
Night shirts for the night we check in to WL (we aren’t going to the parks that day)
Shirts for all of us for our 1st day in the parks, DH said “I’m going to wear that?” I told him I made it and, yes, you’re going to wear it! Good god man, have you not learned in 10 years not to arugue with me!?
An outfit for DD and tee’s for both DS for the day we have dinner at Akershus
Tee for both DS’s for the day we go to DHS. DS1 loves My Friend Tigger and Pooh and DS6 is a HUGE Star Wars fans
I made DS6 this shirt because he loves the song in POC3 in the beginning where they sing the song and say “hoist the colors”
And my sewing; an outfit for DD! The shirt was my first attempt at appliqué. My mom, an expert sewer/quilter said I did a really good job for my first try!
Phew! I’m working on a few more things but haven’t nearly finished them yet. I’ll post those when I’m done!
All of the designs are my own except for the “life is good” one. I got the idea for the the DISign board, which I must stay away from. It’s highly additive!
If anyone wants to take anything, feel free! Here’s a link to the designs with some other stuff too, scroll down to see the images. The pirate shirt was made with iron-on letters and skull and the flag is red fabric I made into an iron-on!

Ive also been busy making Mousekeeping envelops!
Last trip we had the best mouekeeper ever!! She was wonderful!! She left this for DD on her birthday!
2 towel animals, 2 new stuff animals and a card!! DD and I had made thank you cards for mousekeeping with local postcards and stickers and left the tip with them. She loved them and said she was hanging them up at home. She did a wonderful job in our room everyday and even checked in on us the day my boys where sick! I hope we get service like that again!

WOW!!!!! I'm sooooo impressed with the things you made!
Husbands! I totally know what you mean about needing to do something besides housework and mommying. There's not necessarily a lot of extra time for hobbies, but you gotta do something else to keep your sanity. You know, something like spending lots of time on line feeding your Disney addiction.

Thank you! I'm sure your talented enough to steal some ideas. I just took some clip art pics and things, added the wording and made the iron-ons! I practiced a lot before I actually did the Mickey applique. I only had a small amount of the fabric and didn't want to mess it up. Then I sat there in front of my sewing machine and said "please god don't let me mess this up!" LOL! It worked pretty well!
LOL sometimes DH just doesn't get it! Especially when it cost money! But, me going to the looney bin would cost money too!! After the kids go to bed at night I'm either sitting in the living room with my laptop looking at Disney stuff or scrapbooking, sewing etc!
Thank you! I kind of went over board ffor this trip and there's still time for more! In 05 I didn't make anything because I wouldn't have even thought of it. In 06 I made DS a birthday shirt and DD a matching shirt. One our last trip I made them both a pair pf pants for our first day and DD an outfit for her birthday. This time I may have everyday covered!! LOL! Maybe DH is right about too much free time....
Like I said I’ve been very busy making lots of stuff for our trip! I showed DH all the stuff I made and he told me it was very nice and I make cool things BUT prefaced the compliments with “You have too much free time on your hands.”
Are you kidding me?! That caused a bit of a tiff between DH and I. DH should know me better then to think I’m going to take the comment lying down and not get mad at him!
I’m a SAHM with 3 kids, 7, almost 6 and 1. Not to mention our handful of a 9 month old yellow lab puppy,
who because I went upstairs earlier to put away the laundry with the baby and left him alone peed on the couch!!
DS6 just started full day kindergarten, which does free up a lot of my time. But, DS1 is coming into his own and is a real buster! (I’ll post a video of him dancing to the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme soon!)
Creativity is my outlet! Scrapbooking, learning to sew etc. Gives me something to do besides laundry, cleaning and being super mommy!
Tell me I have too much free time on my hands!! My DH owns his own business and works from home. He calls into me at least twice a day to tell me what he just read on Fox News, CNN, or ESPN. Hmmmmm maybe you should be working dear! Maybe you have too much free time on your hands!
Anyway, enough venting! So, here what I’ve made!!
Like I said, I’m learning/teaching myself how to sew! It’s going pretty well so far! So I made DD and DS6 each a small travel pillow with cute flannel Mickey fabric!
I’m making DS1 a blanket to match but haven’t finished it yet.
I made shirts for the kids for our travel day;
Night shirts for the night we check in to WL (we aren’t going to the parks that day)
Shirts for all of us for our 1st day in the parks, DH said “I’m going to wear that?” I told him I made it and, yes, you’re going to wear it! Good god man, have you not learned in 10 years not to arugue with me!?
An outfit for DD and tee’s for both DS for the day we have dinner at Akershus
Tee for both DS’s for the day we go to DHS. DS1 loves My Friend Tigger and Pooh and DS6 is a HUGE Star Wars fans
I made DS6 this shirt because he loves the song in POC3 in the beginning where they sing the song and say “hoist the colors”
And my sewing; an outfit for DD! The shirt was my first attempt at appliqué. My mom, an expert sewer/quilter said I did a really good job for my first try!
Phew! I’m working on a few more things but haven’t nearly finished them yet. I’ll post those when I’m done!
All of the designs are my own except for the “life is good” one. I got the idea for the the DISign board, which I must stay away from. It’s highly additive!
If anyone wants to take anything, feel free! Here’s a link to the designs with some other stuff too, scroll down to see the images. The pirate shirt was made with iron-on letters and skull and the flag is red fabric I made into an iron-on!

I hadn't intended on chapter 7 being about this but I realized I have a problem and I have to admit!
I'm addict to my countdowns!!!
I have a desktop ticker for our January trip that currently reads 82 day 4 hours 31 minutes, 2 calendars that I made with Microsoft publisher to countdown for the trips, DD and I made a HUGE countdown calendar for the kids to mark off the days with my cricut (thanks to fairygodmotherjen for the idea I saw in her PTR, if you still out there THANKS!)
DS6 in his clone wars pj's showing the calendar and DS7 with un-brushed hair showing off the calendar &
DS1 pointout Mickey Mouse, his favorite.
Not to mention my ticker!!
I LOVE my ticker!! I love that it says 2 months 21 days and 5 months 10 days! I love that the numbers are 2 and 5! Yes, I know that it's actually more then 2 months and more then 5 months but at least it doesn't say 6 and 9 or something!!
I truely make freak when the January ticker says 1 month 30 days! I'll definitely freak when it's under a month!! Then when we come back in January I'll be freaking for March!!
