We're seriously considering going. I really don't like taking the kids out of school for anything, but I think I might for this.

I think the energy and the spirit around Boston will be a great treat for the family. Maybe we'll take in the Aquarium too...

The only thing I'm worried about is where to park

Are you going?

I can't in good conscience (darn WHY do I listen to that conscience?) blow off work so I'm not going ....but my sister and her DH are going down from Rye. They plan to drive to somewhere north of the city, early, and take the T.
I'd definitely use public transportation if I were going too!

I'm not going, not my cup of tea.

My mother just called to see if I wanted to go to the stadium to watch the buses pull in (we're very close to Foxboro). The funny thing is, right before she called we were watching it on the news and I said "Look at those crazy people"! I guess I just don't get "it". But for those that do go, have fun and be careful!

My family is going. DH works around the corner and DS goes to school on the parade route. But me - I have to be in court, today I hate my job!!

My mom's a high school teacher. She said it's unbelievable how many of her students are driving down to the city tomorrow to see the parade. Several are going tonight too to welcome the busses. My history teacher said they were expecting 15,000 to welcome the busses. I admit it's pretty cool that people can go to do that, but that number of people is a little insane. I can't imagine how many people will go to the parade.

I went two years ago. My son, his girlfriend and I got pretty close to the stage at City Hall Plaza. It was a nightmare. After waiting for close to an hour and not having them show up, we attempted to leave. Thanks to some really BIG guys who also had had enough we were able to get out of the crowd. Walking 30 feet took us almost 15 minutes. There have been very few times I was scared to be in a crowd but that was one of them.

There was lots of drinking and some of the not so sweet girls were exposing themselves (ala Janet Jackson) for the pleasure of the crowd. Despite what Mayor Menino says, there will be drinking in there tomorrow and there is NO way to stop it!

That being said, I think our location was most of the problem. My daughter also went two years ago and was near the Common. She said she saw none of the above and the crowd was manageable.

I have also been thinking about going but will probably pass, more due to my back not being good than worries about the crowds. So, yes, go but find a spot on the parade route and don't get any where near City Hall Plaza.

Have a great time everyone who can be there! Two years ago it was such a cold day....but a great reason to celebrate...again!

:teeth:

I'll be in the general area since I work downtown, right next door to Faneuil Hall. Normally I start at noon, but tomorrow I'm aiming to be at work around 9am. I have class that evening & don't want to fight the crowds with a large bookbag. Don't plan on walking over for the rally though.

I take the T into work everyday, so luckily I don't have to fight for a parking spot. I highly recommend public transportation for anyone coming in. Parking is hard enough to come by, not to mention expensive, on a normal weekday.

I went to the one two years ago in the freezing cold. I stood across the street from Gov't Center right in front of The Buck a book. It's its a warm day I think the crowds will be even worse than last time. We had a great view of the parade and the jumbo tron set up. I'd say if you are going to the parade dont go into the chaos at city hall, stick to the curb across the street, you won't be missing anything. Last parade the duck boats went right in front of our faces and we saw all the players nice and close up.

Everyone's sooo excited!

My son was out sick today, and I already told him, sorry
next week is DISNEY so no more time out!

We only live about 15 minutes from the stadium, and some of my family when down their today to see the Patriots arrive home, they said hundreds of people, I am not a huge football fan, but it's great to see NEW ENGLAND winning and everyone's so happy and the happiness has spread around to everyone!!!

The whole town is decked out with signs, balloons, nice to everyone involved in home town pride!!!

My sister lives in Boston, and she and her family are going early.

I told her, hopefully we'll see them at either MGM or Universal, like the last time!!!

Have fun for all who can go!!!!!!

BTW
I did watch the entire game
AND WHATA GAME IT WAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :wave2: :hyper:

There was a football game yesterday???

I thought is was just a rapping, soft-core (well, maybe not so soft-core) porn show, flecked with fart filled, flame spewing horses, crotch-biting Bud dogs, people getting their jollies from air blowing up their skirt, getting it on with monkeys, bikini waxes for the guys, and old Chicago Bear coaches with erectile dysfunction!!!

Enjoy the parade, congratulations, Pats!!!!!!!!! :bounce:

ROFL, Dan!!!!!:rotfl:

The last place I would want to be is in that mob today. Ill watch it from my nice warm house. ;)

I'll be watching it from the warmth and comfort of my tv room! Hope everyone that goes has a great time.

I didn't get to go to the parade today, but I do work about 5 minutes from the Stadium, so we got to see the buses driving by :)

I took my son over the stadium last night, and we had a great time. There were lots of people, but no one got out of control. The players were very appreciative and so nice. They came out and signed autographs and passed around the trophy for everyone to see. They spent a good bit of time with everyone, even though it was freezing cold. DS got Bethel Johnson's autograph.

The only problem was that Tom Brady, my secret crush, wasn't there :( Now I'm mad at Disney for taking him away from me! ;)

I'm one of the lucky ones. Kraft has an office in the building I work in so when the parade came down the street they stopped for about 10 minutes in front of it. I was nice and warm on one of the upper floors watching. Now I dread trying to get home on the "T". I don't think one kid went to school today.

I have my Pats shirt on today but avoided the Downtown area. When I get home I'll watch the tape from the comfort of my livingroom.

Reports indicate that tons of kids were along the parade route today and many more people were outside this year (as opposed to the first parade).

I must say it was an easy commute for me today, driving in around 11:30am. Those that normally take the T had a different story though.
