Who's version of most and least crowded days do you trust?

We just returned. Visited MK 3 times the first week of March: on Tuesday (3/1), Thursday (3/1), Tuesday (3/8). Had great days on all three visits (although it was rainy and cold on 3/1 meaning 5 mins before the afternoon parade we had a perfect Main Street spot with plenty of room to spread out -- no tour book can predict that, LOL!).

This is my first post, so here goes. I have been reading about the crowd levels on May 5 at MK. Most people seem to be saying that the park should be avoided. The crowd levels according to UG is projected to be a "4" that doesn't seem to be nearly as crowded as what they are projecting for most of April. My family really wants to see Spectromagic and we aren't getting park hoppers. Am I insane to be attempting this? We will be at WDW April 30 - May 7 so we will have other opportunities to spend time at MK.

Just wanted to add my 2 cents - Right now I don't really trust anyone's version of the best day to go to each park. After Disney started messing with the morning and evening EMH schedule I think any travel guide printed more than 1 or 2 months ago has outdated information (same goes for interent sites). As other have mentioned, I think the days of "low crowds" are gone, and it is going to be crowded no matter which park you go to. I think just about everybody has had valid suggestions, it just depends more on your family and how you like to vacation. For our family, our strategy is going to be avoid the park that has any EMH that day (during regular operating hours). Meaning if MK has evening EMH one day, we will go to another park that day and then after parks have closed, we will consider at that time whether to do the evening EMH. Also, we may do morning EMHs and then move on to another park not having EMH that day. I also like the strategy of going to a park the day after/day before it has had an EMH day. We also plan on getting there at opening and using fastpass as much as possbile, take an afternoon break, and back to the parks in the evening. Also, I think UG suggestion that Saturday is a good day for MK, only applies during the summer, when locals try to avoid the parks on the weekends and only go during the week. When it is not summer, Saturday can be crazy at MK. We experienced this first hand during one trip in September. I think during the summer MK is busy no matter what day it is. :smooth:

TourGuideMike! He explains which of the four parks is best and why. His information for Easter weeks was updated recently when they added EMH mornings to MK everyday from March 20 thru April 2. His website is www.tourguidemike.com where he has lots of endorsements and information about his service. Not only is his information current, but he has a myriad of articles and information about WDW. He also offers a money back guarantee if you don't like his service.

Another thought: you don't have to add park hopping to your tickets until you need to park hop. If you end up not needing to park hop you aren't out that money.

Good Luck with your planning! We leave in 15 days!!!

p.s. after other posts have initiated concerns about affiliations to TourGuideMike, I have to say...I have no relationship with TourGuideMike either financially (other than paying $20 or so for my membership) or familially (I am not his mother, sister, grandmother, niece, aunt or daughter). :flower: :sunny: :Pinkbounc :sunny: :flower:

TourGuideMike for me, too! Our trip was December 29 - January 5!! He had great advice for where to be when. Even had up-to-date plans when the EMH hours and days switched on January 2.
