oh puhlease...you can't make this up....

No proof? Apparently you made it up.

YOu say I am ignorant when in fact you are. I had no problem with a mosque, but if a person cannot write in the sky a message about Jesus, then a mosque which sends out a message about the muslim religion should be removed as well. That is only fair isn't it?

I repeat - on the sky?
So now I have to stop looking at the sky because some moron is a zelot?
On your chest, sure - on your garage, hey your property...
But the sky belongs to all of us and I shouldn't have to stop looking at it because some dufus couldn't think of anything better to do.

Come on now. . ."shoved down your throat?". . . I hardly count some sky writing shoving anything down anyone's throat. You see it in the sky. . .just don't look or just don't read it. It's hardly shoving anything. Personally I think it's great of him/her and I applaud her/him. I wish I could witness to as many people as he/she apparently has.

made it up??????? You have to be kidding??????

just like you made yours up - as I have seen no proof of that either!!!!

Hmmm no proof from the Koran either - apparently you made that up too... but then I already knew that.

Hey, now, lets not get carried away here. It's 72 virgins per martyrdom, we can't have any inflation creeping in to this. And while we're at it, make mine 36 strippers and 36 pornstars, virgins are too much work.

I'm a tax accountant (hince my ablility to spend my days on the computer during slower times of the year). I get to keep more of my money in my pocket and more of my clients money in my clients pockets when Republicans are in office.

People blast wealthy (really upper middle class) americans (people who make over $100,000 per year for singles) and call them selfish for wanting tax breaks, what most people don't understand is how much tax these people are paying. Right now taxes are at a historical low and these people are paying as much as 35% in federal taxes on their taxable income not to mention state taxes. Poor people pay no income tax. Right now the lower middle class pays very little taxes.

I do have a problem with the super rich paying less tax than the upper middle class which is the case now with the 10% tax on qualified dividends.

At times in history (not so distant) people have had to pay as much as 70% for federal taxes.

You're comparing apples to oranges here. If someone wanted the church in the Norway pavilion torn down, then yes the appropriate comparison would be to take down the muslim tower-thing in Morocco. But no one is saying to tear down the Norway church. And actually, I don't think I've seen anyone say the plane guy should be stopped/arrested. They just don't like it. Like I said before, if it's legal, then fine he can do it. BUT I THINK IT'S IN POOR TASTE. I do not want to be preached to at Disney World on my family vacation. Architecture is one thing. I think the church in Norway and the Muslim architecture in Morocco are both beautiful. But I don't want people telling me to find Jesus or Allah when I walk by either one.

As a part of my planing my theme park strategies -

which park(s) and on what days, can I visit with the least likelihood of someone offending someone else's religious sensibilities?

:confused3

LOL - Sorry I didn't count the number of virgins seeing as how I've sworn off of them... they always wind up deciding their straight. (Which would be great if I was too)

Maybe she is thinking of all the posts she has seen from Christians who don't like to see gay people holding hands at Disney because it's like they are shoving their lifestyle down their throats.

In both cases it's obviously just an expression.

Epcot is always out. You have seen the posts from people about how aweful it is that different attractions like The Universe of Energy don't include the Christian "truth" right?

Ummm - never. Welcome to America. :p

Wow. 15 pages about a guy who skywrites???

So what do you do whenever you are behind a car that has bumper stickers with religious references??? Does that REALLY cause you any harm? This is exactly the same premise of the skywriter. For those of you who think he should go away - you are far outnumbered - there are obviously a lot more people who think he's doing a positive thing. When you go to WDW and see letters in the sky, just LOOK THE OTHER WAY. Those of you who are offended are getting a little too worked up over it. You're in WDW for pete's sake, it's not like there's other stuff to look at on THE GROUND LEVEL!!!

I agree that the guys site is a little on the "crazy" side, but hey, why not? I am a Christian, I don't practice it in everyday life as I should. But I am living better than I ever have before, thanks to God. I feel like I'm a better person, mom and wife because of him!

maybe he thinks that it is a sin to be at WDW. I have heard people say it before....

Yes 3rd Corithians 128 clearly states: "though shalt not go to Walt Disney World, Universal is just fine, but not Disney World." I think this was just because at the time Disney sold pork and Universal didn't. We don't think its applicable to today's modern world though, so this passage gets largely ignored.

Oh I forgot about the next passage that clearly states: "flee the very appearance of the Mickey rodent" we think rodent is actually interpreted from the original greek to be Mouse.

I think DVC was also commenting on this discussion still being found under "attractions and strategies"...I agree it should be moved to "community" - I get that many here want to avoid these kinds of discussions !!! That's cool! This one should be moved to where it is more appropriate! :sunny:
