He made the statement about a post painting Republicans with on brush being an example of how wrong it is to do that to any group. That was my post. I tried over and over with that post to explain that these were the myths I had been taught and were trying to dispel but it seems like a lot of folks didn't want to see that part.

How true. Science is perpetually asking questions, religion claims to have all the answers, at least concerning the "Big Questions". The older a religion is, the more patently ridiculous its answers tend to be. For me, when the belief system I was handed (Methodist) collided with a body of proven facts (science), it was no contest. Now I get to sleep in on Sundays.

I go the the Jersey Shore a lot and we get sky writers and signs and banners trailing behind planes all the time.

If I see the message "Joe's has the best New England Clam Chowder" I can choose to belive it or not. I don't feel Joe's has ruined my day based on that message. I chose to look at it...I'm adult enough to make my own decision.

If the sign said, "Joe's religion is better than yours"...then I guess to Joe, that's his truth..doesn't make it my truth..but I'm comfortable enough with myself to know what I believe in and not worry about what Joe has to say.

We saw him last week on the monorail from GF to MK, everyone was kind of surprised by it, he was in the process of writing "Jesus Loves You" that day.

It was the only time we saw him on our 8 day stay...by the time we got to the MK gates there was a lot of gossip & people saying "Jesus Loves ME"! It was a little strange to see it, we were all kind of expecting a Disney advertisement or marriage proposal or something!

Hey another person's sex life is a beautiful and powerful thing - and it is certainly their truth. On the other hand should I be scrawling it on the sky? Some things while being posotive, and beautiful, and important in your life - still don't have any business being broadcast in such a way that it makes it hard to impossible to ignore.

Big Bang and evolution are still theories not scientific law. I don't know why we tend to look at things as fact or fiction truth or lie. Why do have the need to prove others wrong? Sometimes stories contain a lot of truth. To me every word in the Bible contains fundamental truth, its there for a reason, I may not understand it or know how it applies to me, but I consider it to be the truth. For example it says God created the Universe in a week. Some Christians and Jews will argue till they are blue in the face that God created the Universe in a calander week because the Bible says so. I don't fault them for their belief, I respect it. I on the other hand believe God created the Universe, I don't need to know how long it took him (Was anyone there to time him?). If it is proven that the Earth is billions of years old, my belief system is still in tact.

I guess the real question since NYC's accident the other day, is what is the FAA going to be doing to look at small planes and open air flying spaces... i was under the impression it would have been a no fly zone....

Oh my gosh, now this is where I would have to cross the line. This is soooooo offensive and I'm just soooooo glad I didn't see this on my vacation cause it would have totally ruined it. I would NOT been able to have a good time, for everyone knows that it is Moe's and not Joe's Clam Chowder that's the best. Opinions are sooooo offensive, I think my day has just been ruined. Maybe I'll move away to outer Mongolia so I won't have to be subjected to such horrible signs in the sky.
