Who's ready for 'Mad Men'????? {spoiler discussion}

I {really} don't like Peter. He is so smug and whiny. Bad combination!

I love that the only spoilers will be what happens during the show! I wish everyone was so tight-lipped. I hate knowing what's going to happen before it airs.

yes, Sal - I wasn't surprised and it didn't seem like Don was either.

I have quite figured out that Brit. that looks too much like Peter Campbell. I think he is a spy for the new owners.

I wasn't surprised, but wasn't expecting it either. I mean, I knew he was gay, but wasn't expecting the scene.

I couldn't tell if Don was surprised or not... but he obviously didn't care. (Cuz that means more women for him, probably... LOL.)

That British guy confused me, too. I thought he was Peter at first.

Cannot stand Peter. He's like the Erica Kane of Mad Men- the character everyone loves to hate.

Whether or not Don was surprised, I think he obviously felt it was NOHB; living in a glass house and all. (It's not like Sal didn't know about the FA who came out onto the fire escape missing some of her clothing. People at S-C knew that Don had been living in a hotel for awhile. Divorce was still something that made you a little "off" among respectable people, so it was to something to be avoided if you were an ambitious type.)

It was obvious that Sal was shocked by how easily Don slid into someone else's persona; Sal's rather touchingly innocent for a man in his position, I think.

Funniest line: "I don't usually tell people I'm an accountant." :happytv:

BTW: Mr. Hooker is Ryan Cartwright -- he's been annoying viewers on Fox's Bones for two seasons now, playing very essentially the same character; a guy who talks your ear off in an effort to distract you from his shortcomings.

What amazed me about the Sal storyline was how quickly it happened. There didn't seem to be any lead up or hint other that the scene in the elevator which did't sem to give anything away. Maybe there really is such a thing as gaydar :lmao:

Sal was flirting with a colleague last season. He invited the guy for dinner and basically ignored his wife the entire time.

I think it was Ken who he invited over for dinner and it seemed rather obvious that he was into him and not his wife. He kept interrupting her and I seem to remember that Ken left something there and he pocketed it.

There was also a scene where he touched hands with someone over dinner or drinks. But even knowing that, I was kind of shocked by the scene because I definitely wasn't expecting it.

I had a feeling that Sal would have a storyline exploring his sexuality. It's not the kind of thing writers introduce and then let alone. Don reacted as I thoguht he would-he has secrets too.
I hope the little slime bucket, Peter, doesn't get hold of the info though because he'll use it to try to take down both Sal and Don. He wants Don's job so badly.
