Who's on the Week after Thanksgiving Wait List?

we called 5 days into our booking window and were able to get a preferred / garden view room at BWV for this week...but could not get standard view or BW view. so we're on the wait list for BW view.

i was just curious who out there is in the same boat as us for this week - and what day did you try to reserve but were forced to wait list (i.e. how far into your booking window were you when you called)?

I am not going that week, but I was wondering if the whole week was unavailable when you called, or just a day or two. Were you unwilling to take the chance you would have to move?

To be safe, we booked VWL day-by-day, so didn't have any trouble. BUT, we are hoping to swap for BCV at the 7 month window. Wonder how easy that will be.

I booked a BW view 1 bedroom for Dec. 2 - 9. I called every day. I learned the hard way 2 years ago when I tried to book a week by calling for the whole week at 11 months from check-out.

we reserved 11/30-12/6, and if i remember correctly the only days that they had available were R12/4 and F12/5. we would prefer not to have to change rooms in the middle of our stay - especially for a relatively short stay - so we're just waitlisting for the whole week at once.

we, too, have learned our lesson. next time it'll be day-by-day for us....

I would always book early December day by day. Actually, I"d always book day by day for any reservation where I want boardwalk view.

We wanted a STD view BWV studio for 2-5 Dec, but I didn't get around to making the reservation until 14 Jan... I think they had 1 night out of the 3 Std view. I thought about taking the 1night in the standard and make another ressie for preferred and then wait list for std view.
But...that was too stressful (I didn't want to have to worry about a potential room change), so I asked about 1BR Std view and they had all 3 nights. We took the 1BR and wait listed the studio (I'm not sure I want that wait list to come through. )

On our last stay at BWV in December, we ended up in preferred two nights and std view (studio) one night. Considering we got the idea to go in November--we considered ourselves just lucky to get any room at BWV. We started off by reserving 1 night and wait listed the other two. The other two nights didn't become available until within the 7 day window. We thought we were going to have to stay off site up until about the last minute. !
