You have to take the backs off the pins to put them on the corkboard. I have all the backs stored in DS9's lego container that he filled at the Lego Store in DTD last year!

I know, it's coming fast!!

I will be sure to take lots of pics and give a very detailed report on VN for you!

Nope, we really don't have any official countdown chains or anything going this time. IDK why. Summer is keeping us too busy I guess. (or maybe it's this puppy!!) We just have it written on the dry erase board in the garage, in weeks. We change the number every Friday!

Thank you! Had a great time -decided at the last minute to take the boys along. They had a blast - you can read about what we all did on the Mayer thread. I found a $50 bill on the floor in the casino - I always find money at DL and WDW - my good fortune continues to follow me - LOL! We had great weather - it was near the high 90's but it wasn't horrible, because it is a dry heat (desert) no humidity. The nights were perfect. Overall, a perfect and fun time!

Shawna--- I can't wait to try VN too! I've read that the pizzas are different-- they are true Italian style, where the crust is charred. Different from NY style. Can't wait!
As far as Tebow--- we've met his mom on different occasions and she is the most genuine woman. She had a long talk with my kids at a football game once and we were able to get some pics with her and her DH. Precious family--- you definitely can see where he gets his convictions from, just from meeting them. They have a palpable aura that surrounds them .....




Sea--- Welcome home! I'm so glad you had a nice time!

Shelly...I thought that's how you had 'em on there!! I did a countdown on the dry erase board in our schoolroom one year...we left the week after our first semester of school, so it was a dual countdown!! Worked out great!!!...it's close now,..you need to change it to days instead of weeks!!
Jo....Pam is just the sweetest thing...I love her voice!!! She is genuine to the core..I want to be just like her!
I am so excited about y'all trying VN...I have one night totally open with no ADR yet,...this could be the one!!! I am curious to read both of your reviews since you have such diff opinions about the Disney rest.'s....which is great for me because I will have pros and cons from both of y'all!!!

I just made parking reservations near the airport!!!!!!!!!!

Do you do this every year? We have always just parked at the airport, but daaaang it's expensive! Last year(since we live quite a distance from the airport), we went the night before and stayed at the Sheraton, or whatever it was, right down from the there. It was $99 and they dropped us off and picked us up--which was great because our flight was at 7:30...we would have had to leave here by 4 And it was still cheaper than parking at the actual airport. We have a Parking Spot garage, and something else near there I was interested in checking on this time...just curious what y'all do and what your experiences have been.

I just wanted to jump in here to say since the first time we flew we have always booked a stay park fly package for the night before and would not do it any other way. It is just so convient like you said since they shuttle you back and forth and considering the cost to park at the airports you can not beat staying over the night before when it includes your parking. I find I actaully get some sleep the night before our trips since I am not worrying about having to get up and drive to the airport hopeing for no delays on the way.
I need to book our stay for our upcoming trip, should do it today infact, I keep forgetting

Have a great weekend and try to stay cool, we are suppose to get like 6 days of rain, I wish I could send it your way, I know you need it badly.

It's another hot day here- I was up at 6 am for my walk. I knew I wouldn't do it if I waited any longer. As it was- it was humid and muggy.
However---
the weather dude is promising a cool down for us this week- around Wednesday! It's cooling down to 92! Almost a 20 degree difference in what we've been experiencing. Never thought I'd think 90 is cool. I might have to break out the jacket.


Shawna--- I'm prediciting that either Shelly or I am going to love VN, while the other one of us hates it. That's usually how it goes with us.
Who knows, though- maybe we'll both like it.



Okay so I'm having issues....

Just read that the GF spa and gym are going to be closing the week after we are there for 18-20 months for work with the GF DVC they are building. And that the walls on the walkway to the Poly from the GF are already going up. Do you think that they would start early and close the gym before we leave? Mark is a huge fitness dude- and it might be a deal breaker if they close the gym while we are there. I am emailing IPO to see what they say. I'm sure it will be all "Oh you have nothing to worry about... blah blah blah".
However- if we get there and the gym's closed..... we will be moving to another resort. To where, IDK- but won't stay there with it closed.
ugh.
Another thing to consider is the noise coming from whatever it is they are doing behind those walls. If it's bad... yep... we'll be moving.


I guess the only thing we can do is go ahead with the plans and once we check in, then see how it is and proceed from there.

I thought about you staying there when I read about the construction yesterday and saw a ton of pics and a video. I am disappointed and not even staying there just planning on visiting GF for the frist time ever.

The wall are an eyesore for sure so much for all the pics I might have gotten

hey Sheila!!


I have been looking at those pics of the stupid walls this morning. I am so upset. I know that sounds ridiculous but it really is making me think twice about staying there with that to look at. I think that we will be okay, though, since we are on the interior - in Sugar Loaf- and I asked for a Marina view.

I just have such a hard time with those dumb walls. I hate going into MK for that same reason with all the construction with Fantasyland. It takes away the magic for me.

I also hate change. As in, loathe. It's so hard for me to get used to something new. I guess that makes me a brat.

I am going to have to be careful with my disappointment and letting it show. If I even so much as hint that I might be a little upset Mark will be moving us to another resort before I have a chance to think about it. His job is to make me happy, ya know.

IDK. If we moved- IDK where I'd even want to be.
BWI??? YC???

UGH. Frustrated.

Oh that is great that it will be open throughout your stay! I hate change to, I said to DH maybe we should wait and go after the Fantasyland expansion one day, I think he grunted lol
I honestly do not do well with change either, I hated when they did away with discovery Island, we went here almost every trip it was never crowded and it was so peaceful, it was just sorta "our" place(when we went as a family)

I made our reservation for the airport hotel this am, and told DH but he has other things on his mind he goes Thursday for his eye surgery and he says he is not nervous but he is really.

Glad you won't have to move to another resort, you probally will not even notice the walls like you said since you are at SL with the marina view, except for when you and Shelly meet up at midnight on the path.
