Who's Gonna Have More Fun? Two PTR's for the Price of One!

DH is on his own, although I do make him double check for undies - Shelly knows what I'm talking about! It's happened to us too, but not at WDW, so we could go to a (gasp) Walmart and buy some cheaper ones!

 I missed this yesterday!! You ladies are never going to let me live that one down are you??? :rotfl:
Shelly--- wow what an awesome display of stuff you have there!:lmao: I can't believe you got so much. Okay you win. You out shopped me-- I didn't know if it was possible.:lmao:

Love the tanks. And the shirts.... And the shorts...... :faint: All perfectly Awesome!!!!!!!!:thumbsup2

Thank you!! :goodvibes But you know I could never out shop you!!!!!!!:upsidedow
Well I didn't buy anything today but I tried on a ton!
Did you fill out your stuff for IPO?

Sorry you didn't find anything yesterday.

Yes, I filled out my IPO stuff yesterday!! :cool1: Did you? I wonder when I should expect to hear back from them.....

I love the wardrobes! It never occurred to me to wear dresses at Disney. I always pack one, just in case, but I have never worn one to the parks. I'll have to consider it on my next trip, but we shall see.

I'm an over packer as well, but I had to get it out of my system when they started charging per bag. However, since the baby was born I've started checking one bag everywhere I go, because it simply isn't practical to be lugging around extra carryons, and a baby.

I really should have taken a picture of my luggage coming here. My Daddy upgraded us to First Class (one of the perks of him traveling all over for work), so I got SIX "free" checked bags. (three for me and three for the baby! - though it was more like four for me and two for the baby) I also brought two carryons, so EIGHT bags total for two of us. Granted, we were moving, but I have no idea what I would have done if we had only been allotted the two "free" bags each for economy.

The airport in Kansas City was certainly comical, because it was just me and my Mom trying to move eight bags in from the curb. On this end, I hired someone to help me, which made going through customs a lot less dramatic.

Thanks! :)

Wow 8 bags!! That's a lot! :faint:

Well, I am finally caught up. Work has been crazy, so it took me a while.
I cant believe all the new clothes, you may have to add a few more days.
Jo, I had to laugh outloud (my son actually asked what I was laughing at) with your
stick it in the closet and pull it out a month later comment, I have so done that!
The CL thing sounds really cool, have never looked into that. I'll be interested to hear about it in you TRs.
So 2 nights ago my DS12 was pushed into the neighbors pool fully dresses and with his phone in his pocket. Needless to say we spent about 3 hrs at verizon yesterday!
I promise to check in atleast every other day and keep up! It is a lot of fun to hear about both your plans.

Glad you are all caught up! :goodvibes

Sorry about your DS's phone. :scared1:
Had to post that I just noticed that my ticker is soon going to start with a 4!

Your tickers look awesome!! :thumbsup2 And will look even better tomorrow! :cool1:
Are you girls planning on changing clothes 3 times a day?????? ;)

I was gone for just one day, and there is so much to catch up on!

Jo, don't worry about being outshopped. I think Shelly is in a league of her own! Both of y'all will be stylin' at Disney, that is for sure!

Jo - your dresses are so cute! I bet you look really good in black. I think black looks especially good on blondes.

Shelly - did you leave anything in the store? I love all the tops you bought - no way I could pick a favorite! Cute shorts, too. :goodvibes

It's going to be fun seeing y'all in all your new outfits when you do your TR's!

Um heck YES!! ::yes::

:lmao:

Thanks for the links, Shelly! :thumbsup2 I did read up on them, and CL sounds awesome! Since you won't be on the DP during your Poly stay, it sounds like you could almost make do with the CL food! The evening service menu, especially, sounds yummy. Maybe your DS9 will surprise you and really get your money's worth out of it.

I bet you and your DH are super excited to be staying Poly CL. To me, the Poly is Disney, pure and simple. The wheels in my mind are turning, and I'm thinking "how can I get my DH to want to go back, just the 2 of us, and stay at the Poly?" ;) I never did go to Disney with my parents (I was almost an adult when WDW was built). But my parents went a few times by themselves, at least with other couples as part of golf trips. I know they really had a good time, and they surely didn't ride the thrill rides! So maybe there's hope......

We are super excited!! :cool1: I think we will probably only do one ADR once we get to the Poly. We still have to go to Kona for some Tonga Toast!! :cloud9: But yes, hopefully between all the snacks and the experience we will get our money's worth out of CL!

I hope you can talk your DH into going!! :wizard: I think DH and I will still go once the kids are grown, probably just not every year!

I have this sweater too, but in black and gray!!! I bought them on a special sale day when they were only $8. I just love all of these shopping posts. You know from reading my PTR's that shopping for Disney trips is one of my favorite things. I just love trying to match up what Madison and I are going to wear with what park we'll be at or where we're eating that day. I still shop like that even when I don't have a trip planned. I'll see something and say "That would be a great outfit for...." :goodvibes

I got that one and the one I posted below it the day ON had them for $8!! :goodvibes I figured you would enjoy the fashion show, I know you love to shop as much as Jodi and I do!!!!!!!!!! :dance3:
I have seen those people of WM... and it is funny but I tell you true-- I went to the library the other day and that joint was giving WM a run for it's money. The sheer volume of toothless Pajama clad individuals was shocking. Maybe it was 'Get out of owing your library late fees if you are toothless and wear pj's on Tuesday' day.:confused3
Maybe it's just me but I seem lately to be attracting weirdos.
Yesterday the kids and I had the pleasure of seeing a man at a busy intersection with a grey beard, bald, black knee socks, a cigarette hanging out of his mouth, wearing....... a dress???????????

Drew yells "HOLY COW MOM WHAT IS HE DOING????????" We both had thought it was a little old lady but as we got closer we realized it was a man.
Drew was mortified and looked at me and said "Dude, That was WEIRD." I said "I am not a dude, the man in a dress was a dude and be quiet you're yelling." And Belle yells from the back seat "What?? What was it?? I wanna see?? Who are you talking about???"
Drew says "Trust me, it's better that you don't know."

:faint:

Personally I think he was on his way to a Hog game, but what do I know????:rolleyes1
ZING!!!;)

Oh my!!!! :lmao::rotfl2:

Shoes anyone? :cool1:

As most of you know I am only 5' tall. Or should I say 5' short? :rotfl: So I love me a heel to make me feel tall at 5'3"!!

These are the shoes I am wanting to take on vacation, plus my tennis shoes. But I really need to try to narrow it down to about 3-4 pair....(or so )

The first 4 are new. The others I already had.

These ones I have only worn a few times so far and they are fairly comfortable for such a big heel. I got them at the Totes & Sunglass World.

Winter-Spring2011005-2.jpg

These next 2 are pretty comfortable and look nice with dresses. They came from Kohl's.

Winter-Spring2011065.jpg

Winter-Spring2011059.jpg

These ones are okay. I don't really get much use out of them. Really only when I wear my black shorts. I think I got them at K-Mart.

Winter-Spring2011060.jpg

These are really comfortable! The heel feels almost like foam or something. I hope they don't melt into the pavement!! Got them at Totes & Sunglass World.

Winter-Spring2011061.jpg

These next 2 are not comfortable at all, but they are cute! I'm not sure where they came from, I've had them for awhile.

Winter-Spring2011062.jpg

Winter-Spring2011063.jpg

These are my super comfy shoes, but I think they are ugly and the heel isn't big enough!! They came from Easy Spirit.

:faint:

OK, this one had me laughing out loud at an inanimate object. :rotfl2: And since I'm home alone, there is no one to look at me like I'm crazy or ask me if I am! I feel a little guilty laughing about the library people, though. I mean, considering they were at a library, and where am I? OK, too hard. ;) Pajamas???  Isn't it ridiculous how people think sleeping attire is appropriate for anything now?

Personally I think he was on his way to a Hog game, but what do I know????:rolleyes1
ZING!!!;)

Double ZING! :cheer2: (and I think you know alot. ;))

Okay so anywho...
cornbread!!!!!!!! see if you can find ballard and try that. I will have to try the Pioneer one if I can find it.

I know we have Ballard, just not sure about Old South. I never really thought much about the brand of cornbread. :guilty: I'm not even sure what kind my Mom used. I've just usually used Pioneer any time I buy cornbread.

Also-- I know you were saying something about going to WDW just you and your DH. Mark and I have gone so many times alone. It is WONDERFUL. Last May I couldn't ride much at all b/c of a medical issue going on at the time and we walked around a lot, and STILL it was great. I recommend going. I hope you get to plan a trip soon. I'm sure I know of two people who would love to help you plan. ;)

I would probably drive y'all nuts! :rotfl: You would both change your screennames, your email addresses, your telephone numbers, go into the witness protection plan.....

My DH doesn't ride much of anything, and after the RNRC last time, there's no way I could talk him into anything he can't see for himself completely ahead of time. All trust is gone! But it's good to know that you can still have a great time without all the rides. (I just remembered he did like TT, so I guess we could go on that one all day. ;)) I'm sure my Mom and Dad skipped most of the big rides and they still enjoyed it. We would probably spend most of our time at Epcot and (cough, cough) AK. He is the zoo person, not me. Maybe I could do EE as a single rider. I'd hate to go to AK and not do the one signature attraction it has.

Shelly ! I would bust my a44 in those things! :rotfl2: um, er, sorry. I'd bust my hiney in them.:lmao: I have shoes with heels but there is no way I could wear them to the parks!! :faint: You are good girl~!!!

Love them all. And the HFT shoes are HAWT!
As far as the ugly comfy ones... comfy trumps cuteness at WDW!!! ::yes::

Oh heck I didn't feel guilty in the slightest for laughing at the library peeps. I thought maybe they were trying to find books about how to sew some decent clothes but I'm pretty sure that's not what they were checking out.

Well, see? Your Dh rode TT! You could ride it, eat a snack, ride it again, another snack, ride again...time for lunch! Ride again.....
It could be done!

AS far as AK-- if you spent time there maybe you could become our guide next trip and tell us what is not to be missed since we all come out of there confused.

I usually go for style the first few days of the trip and then got for comfort for a few days until my feet feel better and then back to the cute shoes!! :rotfl:

No.....you were at the library.....so you can laugh without feeling guilty. I haven't been to the library since........how 'bout all those cute shoes Shelly has?

Okay that's it. You've pushed me to shop...... I'm headed to TJ's today!!!!!!!!!.:rotfl2: I want cute shoes tooo!!!!!! I can do the cute-comfy-cute rotation. I think.:lmao:

Well we've lived here for three years and we just got library cards on Tuesday. It was also the first time I've been there. And after the Toothless Tuesday While Wearing your PJ's debacle, it might well be my last. The lady said "Would you like to get registered to vote as well??" :faint:

No.....you were at the library.....so you can laugh without feeling guilty. I haven't been to the library since........how 'bout all those cute shoes Shelly has?

Okay my turn!!!!

What can I show you today? Not shoes. Not yet anyway!:goodvibes

Here are a few things I’ve picked up with the WDW trip in the back of my mind. I’m sure that these all will at some point make it into my carry on and then promptly be removed.

Then again, maybe not. I really like a few of these. But dang it--- I only want to take dresses!
Speaking of which… I found another one in my closet that will probably make the trek to FL…

dress.jpg

And this skirt b/c I really think it’s comfy and long enough to not flash everyone…

skirt.jpg

And this outfit b/c I like it… don’t know where I’ll wear it to, probably dinner…

bwcapri.jpg

And here are some assorted tops- I still need shorts but can’t find any that fit properly… the designers for whatever reason think my waist is bigger than my tail, but I digress….

So that’s that. I will hopefully be the proud owner of some shorts that actually fit me right one day. Until then… dresses it is! ::yes::

Oh Shelly, I can see me wearing those heels! I'm not so tall either, but I would not last half a day in those! Those are some really cute sandals, though. :thumbsup2 Maybe you can wear the uncomfortable ones when you're having dinner at the resort or whenever you don't have a lot of walking to do. I really like the comfy ones from Totes and Sunglasses. And the white uncomfy ones. ;) I even like the ones you call ugly. :)

I'll be back later. I'm going shopping. And yes it is Shelly's fault.

:rotfl2:

I can't help it. Those are some cute shoes, dang it!

Jo, cute clothes again! I love the b&w dress, the skirt, that top with the lacy sleeves, well, all of them. Of course, my fav would have to be the purple top! ;)

Cute clothes Jo! :goodvibes I love the pink top. And the skirt. And all of it! :thumbsup2

Yeah, I usually don't get too far in those white ones. I like them but they are a killer on the feet. I wore them to school one day and I thought I was going to die!! :faint:

I'll probably mostly wear the brown comfy flip flops from Totes & Sunglass.

I'll be back later. I'm going shopping. And yes it is Shelly's fault.

:rotfl2:

Yes, it's my fault you are going shopping. Was it my fault you went yesterday and the day before too??? :lmao:

Well good luck to you and remember to buy a belt, it's the only way to keep these new styled/no waisted shorts up!! :thumbsup2

You have the makings of some really cute outfits there Jo. I like that first dress.

I could never wear any type of heel in the parks while walking about all day :scared1: not to mention I am so fearfull of someone stepping on my toes or worse yet running me over with a stroller :scared1:
I go for comfort my trusty sneaks or crocks but then that is what happens when you get old like me.

Shelly is not worried about falling and breaking her 'em backside since with her being only 5 feet tall she doesn't have far to fall :lmao:
Sorry had to...I use to have a freind who was only 4'11 and I use to pick on her to no end
I can hear Jo now telling her DH that it is all Shelly's fault she spent all that money shopping :rotfl:
