Who's Gonna Have More Fun? Two PTR's for the Price of One!

Shoes, shoes, shoes! That is a hot topic with me right now! I am currently on a mad hunt for the "perfect" shoes for Disney (for me and my DD) and I think I have decided that they do not exist! :headache: Shelly, you have some really cute shoes in those pics but I am just amazed that you can wear that kind of stuff at Disney! I would have a really hard time just making it through 2 hours of church in any of those. How in the world do you do it? I'm in awe! :worship:

On the last two trips I have worn Crocs Capri flip flops (they are very cute, and have all the benefits of the ugly Crocs), but over the last year I have gotten a heal spur and I think I need something even better than Crocs. I just can't find it. I am considering trying the Teva's this year too, but no shoe has everything I am looking for.

My girlfriend just got back last week and she ate at the Wolfgang puck cafe (it's on the west side, right?). They really liked it. I don't know what they had so I can't help with the menu or anything.

Shoes!!! When you said heels, I didn't know that you meant those nice thicker kind. I'm glad you're not trying to walk around in stillettos!

I have some Teva flip flops - one pair is the mush - which are only about an inch thick, but the other pair is something called Mandalyn or something like that with criss cross straps. They have a good two inches and are really comfy. My straps are blue with a pattern on them. Not super dressy, but a heel no less. I wore my Tevas almost the whole trip last summer. I had a pair of Teva sandals that were enclosed toe and flatter, but it was too hot on my feet. I might have worn sneakers for a half a day, usually in the evening when my feet were tired.

Cute tops Jo!! I agree with Kelli - that purple one is gorgeous! I'm not sure if I should wish you good luck on your shopping trip or not. Do you really need more enabling?

HAPPY 10 WEEKS!!
:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:
:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Thanks Sheree!

Oh no, no stilettos for me!! Just a thick heeled shoe to give me a little height!!

Well after looking over the WPC menu some more I decided against it. :upsidedow

Just went back & read the shoe posts...I have to say, when at Disney, fashion is out the window!! I have worn Crocs several times, last year I switched between crocs and reefs...some days I like my Nikes, but not if it's burning up hot....this year I will also add my Sanuk flip flops to the list! I really don't care what it looks like,...I have a super high arch and if my feet are in flat sandals,or flip flops they KIIIIIILLLL me!!! so, I am def a comfortable girl!! LOL

Yeah. I have to rotate between fashion and comfort! :rotfl: Good thing that one pair of flip flops are so comfortable! I don't think I will last long at all in my tennis shoes, my feet get too hot.
Okay I am back. And let me just say I didn't buy one thing. I am sure it's b/c y'all put the bad whoo doo on me.
sigh. So much for cute shoes and clothes. I'm sure Mark thanks all of you. He just doesn't know that he should:lmao:

Sorry your trip wasn't successful. There's always tomorrow! :goodvibes

Thanks Shelly!!:goodvibes I haven't worn that pink top at all..... I don't know if I like it or not yet. :confused3
Yes It's your fault I've shopped all week. It was your idea to do the shopping posts, Ms Proper Planning!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Look what you've made me do!! How can I be a Proper Procrastinator with you as a friend????:confused3

:rotfl2:

Well if you don't like it you can send it to me!! ::yes:: :lmao:

That's me -- non-procrastinating proper planner!! Say that 3 times fast. :rotfl:

I'm going to convert you if it's the last thing I do!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Thanks Sheila!! I like that dress too- it can double as a skirt. But I haven't worn it at all yet.

:lmao:
If Shelly trips this time and falls down on her trip we are all gonna be in trouble.
And I'm almost 5'7'' and I wanted to be 5'9 sooooooo bad growing up.

Remember -- you are wearing flats when we meet up!! :rotfl:

Of course I'm gonna blame you. So get ready to hear about it.:rotfl2: I have the feeling that you used my name a time or two when CL was being thrown about.:rolleyes1:rotfl2:

Your name might have been thrown out there a few times when talking CL. :rolleyes1

I've been-- twice.

Once I had the strawberry salad and something else-- crabcakes maybe? I know you wouldn't like that but it was good.

The second time was Oct 2008 and I was sick and got that butternut squash soup and it was sweet. We went with Mark's Gparents. Remember that story??? It was right before Officer Save the Day tried to get me to move the car in the no parking zone and I told him I couldn't b/c I wasn't authorized to drive it? THAT day. Anyway- we like it and would return. Nothing that day was gonna make me happy.

What looks good on the menu to you? Awwwwww, we can't talk dining yet!!!:headache:

I remember that story now!!

Well I already canned the WPC idea. It was just a brief thought since I am switching up some of my plans now.

But we will talk Disney dining soon enough! :thumbsup2

I surely hope Shelly does not trip and blame you Jo, she can blame me if someone steps on or rolls over her toes.

Now I'm going to have a complex about my toes getting ran over!!! :scared1:

I just love shoes!!! :goodvibes

I hope you and your DD find the perfect shoes for the trip! :wizard:

Hello! :goodvibes

I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful Father's Day!

I just wanted to pop in and say that I just read on another thread that Fantasmic is showing every night for the summer -- all of July, August, and September!! :cool1: Had you heard that yet Jo? I hope this means DHS will be less crowded. We had planned to see F! this time so we were planning on going on a F! day and fighting the crowds. Now I need to take yet another look at my plans.

Oh and I got some new sunglasses for the trip today! :thumbsup2

Oh and I got some new sunglasses for the trip today! :thumbsup2

I saw that about Fantasmic!, unfortunately they have not changed October so I am still on the "if they add a 2nd show" thing.

I almost bought a sundress yesterday but they only had yellow in my size and I am not particularly fond of yellow but it was cute with a little cap sleeve and now I wish I had bought it :rotfl:
Spending a quiet day at home, DH went back to bed he was up about 3am, this is only the second year since your DS :littleangel: passed away, I expect our older boy to stop by.
New Sunglasses! I saw a cute pair the other day but I doubt I will buy a new pair, since the ones I had to buy at Disney a few years ago when I forgot mine at home still need to get more use after what they cost me in Disney

How is your ADR changes coming along. I spent most of the morning switching ours around, ended up changeing quite a few since we switched resorts and DH decided now he does not care if we do Marrakesh, San Angel, or Teppan Edo. I swapped those out for Tony's (MK) we have never gone there, and two of our past favorites Planet Hollywood and 50's Prime Time.

Can't wait to hear where all you guys are planning to eat this trip.

Have a nice Fathers Day-

Happy Father's Day to your sweet, hard-working, Disney-lovin', soccer coachin', all-around super Dad - hubby! :earsboy:

Great news about Fantasmic! :thumbsup2 Hope it cuts down on the crowds.

New sunglasses? No pics? Come on, Shelly! You know we are spoiled!

Hey ladies! I didn't think anyone else was around today!

Some are speculating that they might extend the Fantasmic every night schedule into Oct & Nov. :wizard:

Do you know if they are still showing the Main Street Electrical Parade or have they gone back to Spectro?

Sounds like you are making lots of changes to your plans too!! I'm not making a ton of them, but I do want to make sure we get our moneys worth out of CL and want to plan a lot of Poly time. So I am trying to cram most of our ADR's into the first half of the trip. That's also when I have free dining! :thumbsup2

I look forward to your Tony's review. We've never been there.

DH had to buy a pair of sunglasses at WDW a few trips ago and they just broke last week. So we went looking for new ones for him today but I ended up getting some too!!

I bet today is hard for your guys.

Happy Father's Day to your sweet, hard-working, Disney-lovin', soccer coachin', all-around super Dad - hubby! :earsboy:

Thanks Teri! :goodvibes

I haven't taken pics yet, but you know I will!! ::yes::

As far as I know it is still the Main St Electrical Parade.

Your not gonna believe this but I already changed the Planet Hollywood ADR to Raglan Road :rotfl: We have been to PH twice and after reading all the reviews I started second guessing eating there. We liked the food and people complain of how loud it is, I swear PH is not as loud as the Hard Rock but since we have never been to RR and I want to try their fish and chips I switched.

I had so much planned at Epcot because of staying at BC and it being so convient so once I started looking over our plans as I changed one ADR it created a domino effect  Plus DH said he would like to visit AKL and GF so I had to make ADR's at both of those too :lmao:

That's funny!! :rotfl: I just tried to get an ADR for PH one night I am switching our plans around and we will now be in DTD, but the only thing they have is a 3:30. We went there on our very first trip and I don't remember being overly impressed or anything, but I thought it was time we should try it again. I guess not! :upsidedow I do remember it being very loud in there.

I know, mine are the same way, if I change one it affects another and so on and so on. :confused3:lmao:

PH honestly has the most choices on their menu and since it was on the DP I thought why not. Maybe something will open up and you can get a later ADR for there. I was tempted to book Fultons but then we have to pay OOP which is sorta crazy to do since then I would have to switch something else to a signature place to use a credit :rotfl:

It is a good thing DH likes Italian, I now have 3 italian meals planned Via Napoli , Tutto Italia, and Tony's. :rotfl:
I kept running places by DH earlier till finally he said he don't care where he eats, I know what he likes to eat so pick wherever I want :rotfl:

Shelly...I looove getting new sunglasses!:cool1: I put mine up on my head all the time so they stretch out sometimes...I will def have to have a new pair before my trip!
Sheila~Hope your day gets better, for you and your hubby and other son:hug: I will pray for you today!

I used to be a heels girl. Then I met DH. I'm 5'9 and he's barely 6 ft (if he stands up straight) so I stopped for his sake. I still put them on occasionally, but hefting a chunky baby around all the time has done crazy things to my balance. I'm down to around 10 pairs of shoes, and I only brought around 5 with me here, all flats. The sidewalks here are basically cobbled, and I learned my lesson in Prague trying to navigate cobbled streets with 4 inch stilettos!

Then I got here, and we have this wonderful shoe closet in the entry. I feel sorry for it, being so empty, but I can't fill it up (even after all the rest of our stuff gets here) because I got rid of most of my shoes, and they hardly sell anything above a size 7 in stores here! I suppose I should just start buying tons of little baby shoes to make up for it.

Apparently I skipped a whole bunch. I love Jo's outfits and Shelly's shoes!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!
:banana::banana::banana::banana:

I have seen those people of WM... and it is funny but I tell you true-- I went to the library the other day and that joint was giving WM a run for it's money. The sheer volume of toothless Pajama clad individuals was shocking. Maybe it was 'Get out of owing your library late fees if you are toothless and wear pj's on Tuesday' day.:confused3
Maybe it's just me but I seem lately to be attracting weirdos.
Yesterday the kids and I had the pleasure of seeing a man at a busy intersection with a grey beard, bald, black knee socks, a cigarette hanging out of his mouth, wearing....... a dress???????????

Drew yells "HOLY COW MOM WHAT IS HE DOING????????" We both had thought it was a little old lady but as we got closer we realized it was a man.
Drew was mortified and looked at me and said "Dude, That was WEIRD." I said "I am not a dude, the man in a dress was a dude and be quiet you're yelling." And Belle yells from the back seat "What?? What was it?? I wanna see?? Who are you talking about???"
Drew says "Trust me, it's better that you don't know."

:faint:

Personally I think he was on his way to a Hog game, but what do I know????:rolleyes1
ZING!!!;)

Sounds like a wizard dressed as a muggle sighting. :lmao: My little sister went to the release of one of the last books, and there was a costume contest, so I put together the craziest outfit ever and told her to wear it. I think she wore pajama bottoms and a cub scout shirt. Sadly she didn't win...

Good Morning everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend! We've had a HOT one-- our A/C upstairs went out at 5 pm on friday.... why is it that it always goes out over the weekend???? Anyway-- we've all been sleeping all over the downstairs on air mattresses and such, listening to the Bulldog snore... Fun times right there.:lmao:

Sheila-- I just wanted to give you a big hug..... Father's Day is always very tough on me, having lost my Daddy. I know it's not the same as what you are experiencing, but I wanted you to know that I thought about you guys yesterday when I was having a little bit of trouble myself. I hope you are doing better today.

My Tevas do run pretty true to size. I found mine at Famous Footwear but there is more selection online. My mush one got sort of stretched out in the straps from all the times my kids stepped on the back of my shoe!

I'm not sure if I should say I'm sorry you didn't find anything today. ;)
Although I hate it when I go and can't find anything I'm looking for!

I guess I'm gonna have to try them on-- thanks for the info! :)
Don't you just hate when you go out specifically to shop and spend money and can not find anything to buy? I know I do, that is why when I see something I grab it even if I had no intentions of buying anything that day. I always use that excuse too that if I wait it won't be there and DH gives a the "yeah yeah yeah" :rotfl:

I surely hope Shelly does not trip and blame you Jo, she can blame me if someone steps on or rolls over her toes.

:rotfl: It' s good thing I didn't spend any $$ on Friday with the A/C-- I'd be taking it all back this morning!!!:rotfl2:
Thanks Sheree!

Oh no, no stilettos for me!! Just a thick heeled shoe to give me a little height!!

Well after looking over the WPC menu some more I decided against it. :upsidedow

Yeah. I have to rotate between fashion and comfort! :rotfl: Good thing that one pair of flip flops are so comfortable! I don't think I will last long at all in my tennis shoes, my feet get too hot.

Sorry your trip wasn't successful. There's always tomorrow! :goodvibes
After all, tomorrow is another day!!!! Isn't that what Scarlett said at the end of Gone with the Wind? I'm sure if she'd had a TJ Maxx to shop at she would have gone as much as possible, using that line on dear old Rhett.

Your name might have been thrown out there a few times when talking CL. :rolleyes1

I remember that story now!!

Well I already canned the WPC idea. It was just a brief thought since I am switching up some of my plans now.

I'm sure my name may have come up a couple of times when talking CL. 'Cause when I told Mark you guys were thinking of doing it too he knew it was all over--:lmao: Good thing I don't live there anymore--- they'd be having to come up with ways every week to keep us from shopping.:rotfl2: "Honey, I had to get that necklace with earrings to match it was on such a good sale...but it's okay, Shelly got one too!!!!"

IDk if your boys would have enjoyed WPC.....??? Probably good that you nixed it.

I hadn't seen that about F! That makes me sooooooo happy. Now I have to readjust what I'd already adjusted five times.:rotfl: We were going to skip it, but I think it will work out well now.

We had a nice day. How about you guys? We were going to Cabela's but that ended up getting cancelled since we went car shopping Saturday night. So we went to brunch yesterday and then just hung around here.

Yes, I am very pleased about Fantasmic showing every night again! But now I have to look over my plans. AGAIN. :scared1:

Good Morning Jo and All

Sorry to hear your A/C went out , nothing worse than trying to sleep when your hot.

So sorry to hear about your losing your dad Jo. I lost my father when I was only two so I never really knew him but last year and this year I found myself walking on eggshells around DH, I wanted to suggest we go out to eat to just get away from the memories since we all use to gather together but he just wanted to be alone it seemed.

Getting ready to head out to the store, have a ton of bottles and cans to take back and I am thinking I might just go see if the dress I saw Saturday is still there, I should have bought it then. I always do this :headache Have a good day everyone!:

That is awesome about F! I hope both of you can see it now without all the crowd drama. We didn't go there on our last trip b/c I knew I couldn't handle that kind of crowd. I will be VERY curious to see if it is extended beyond September. I love that show and really want to see it again. Although that will cause me to be changing things around too!

Jo, that stinks about your A/C. Hmmm, seems like there is something going on that is trying to prepare you and Shelly for the summer heat in Florida!
