Were so excited to be booked for NOV 09. I called to see if we had a discount/pincode attached to our names, and sure enough 40% off room:cool1:
This will be trip #5 as a family. We will be returning to our new found home Wilderness Lodge....:cloud9:

So who else has booked November 09????

Congrats! Send me your dates....I hope to go at the end of November. Around Thanksgiving would be nice. We'll see. I have two booked. Star Wars is in the planning stages too. (End of May)

We went Nov. 9-18th last year and the weather was wonderful and crowds were low. They have lots of decorations out for Christmas already too. It's a great time to go. I would love to go back this year but I haven't figured out how to pay for it yet!:lmao: If you have a Disney Visa, watch out for free dining to be offered that week since it was last year.

We're going Nov 7 - 14, 2009. Our family of 5, BIL/SIL & Neice, and possibly MIL too. We're staying at the Beach Club.

I would LOVE to tell my kids (13, 10 and 8) but am trying to keep it a secret for a while.

Im here!!!!!!!

November 17th through the 22nd at Pop Century baby!!!!!!:lmao:

We will be going Nov 29-Dec 3rd staying at the Polynesian for the first time! I cant wait and am also hoping for low crowds.

This is the time frame we're looking at too. RIght after Thanksgiving. I want all of the Christmas stuff to up and running! :goodvibes

Nov 17-26 at AKL

Our youngest daughter turns 21 on the 9th of November so I booked her and 5 of her friends a two room villa at AKL. DW and I get a studio ..:confused3

Six crazy college girls in one villa ....... could be trouble :hippie:

Tammy Informed me that not all the decor will be up during the dates I have booked, so I may try to switch them around a bit. I wanna see the osborne lights and according to another site I was reading on it says they were not up untill the 28th of November in 08...so here I go making ajustments- ALREADY lol.

That's right. Only MK was fully decorated. Epcot had very little. HS had nothing. AK was mostly done. You won't see OL or any special programs at Epcot (Candlelight Proc., etc.) either.

Maybe they changed it! I know when we were there in 2007 with Hollie, they did have the Osborne lights working and we went Nov. 13th through the 17th. Then when we went with the in-laws last year, Nov. 12th through the 16th, they had all the decorations up!

You saw the Storytellers and Osborne Lights? Everyone I talked to said OL and the events at Epcot started @ Thanksgiving. MK was decorated earlier because of the MVMCP but the other parks supposedly started their things later...I wasn't there, don't know for absolute sure, but all the WDW stuff I read and trip reports seem to agree w/ the later dates.

OL was the coolest thing of all!

I'm just going by 2008's dates. I read up a lot on it too because we got that free dining offer early on...I was trying to decide whether to go during Thanksgiving or the week before Christmas. When I searched the dates and events a lot didn't start 'til the very end of November. Disney is cutting everything they can to save money. OL aint cheap. :lmao: Look at Fantasmic...they may as well just do away with it at this point. :sad2: You know I gave you a heads up so you get to see everything right? Not to rain on scoring the 40% off. That's a great deal but there will be more that coincide with the perfect date to see all the Holiday stuff for sure. I bet they'll run this 4/3 all year long when they need it. First and second weeks of December...I bet you will get that rate or better! If you're going that far you want to see it all right?

The Garden festival starts on March 18th...I leave the 12th but I have my fingers crossed that I will get to see a few of them. :goodvibes

Tammy is right. They used to have all the Christmas stuff going starting the second week of November but they stopped it last year. We planned our trip based on the dates from 2007 and before, and were very dissapointed that they changed the start dates for 2008. Like I said, we were there Nov.9-18th last year and MK was all done up (except for the big tree) but that was b/c of MVMCP. Epcot only had decos at the entrance (topiaries). AK looked almost done to me and they had the Christmas parade going also, but HS didn't have a thing up. The OL did NOT start until after Thanksgiving and none of the Christmas programs were running at Epcot. I checked into all of it b/c we really wanted to see it all. Santa was out at Downtown Disney though. It was still a great time to go for weather, crowds, and MK was beautiful!

We could have saw OL. It was the night we were at MGM but we left early because Hollie was tired so we didn't get to see it. It does start after Thanksgiving but they do a limited engagement type thing before then. Kind of like starting it off so it was only a few days during each week leading up to it. We didn't take her to Epcot, so I am not for sure if the storytellers were there.

ITs okay....you guys go when you can. I know you don't want to hang with me and my pajama pants wearing MIL while I drink around the world!!:rotfl2:

That trip was in '07 though...so yeah you are totally right about it. In 2008 everything changed for the worse. What's an extra two weeks gonna hurt 'em? Disney is getting so cheap! (But prices keep going up and up...) I'm just saying if ya really wanna do the Christmas stuff at all four parks don't chance it. If I go I have to see the Osborne Lights and Epcot stories. I missed all of those last time. We were so rushed through WS. Here is info from '08...this was the candlelight processional guests. Started on the 28th.

November 28-30 John O'Hurley
December 1-3 Neil Patrick Harris
December 4-6 Brian Stokes Mitchell
December 7-9 Virginia Madsen
December 10-12 Marlee Matlin
December 13-15 Monique Coleman
December 16-18 Chita Rivera
December 19-21 Abigail Breslin
December 22-24 Steven Curtis Chapman
December 25-27 Edward James Olmos
December 28-30 Angela Bassett and Courtney Vance

The Streets of America backlot again will sparkle brightly as millions of twinkling lights dancing to music illuminate the area November 28 through January 4, 2009, during the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights presented by SYLVANIA. Amid "Florida snow" flurries, the building facades, trees and streets of the Disney's Hollywood Studios backlot dazzle with three-dimensional and motion-based displays -- some originally created at the Osborne home in Arkansas by businessman Jennings Osborne as a holiday display for the delight of his daughter.

You should ditch the MIL and hang with us! I'll bring Paul and you get your client availble to me on those days. We'll have us a grand old time! :rotfl2: I'm all for booking something together with everyone. I just wanna make sure I see all of the Christmas stuff too. :santa: I'd hate to go and miss it by a week or two. (Did you get your surprise yet?)
