LavenderPeach, PinkBudgie, bummer that we will miss you guys!! I almost went on the 2nd but I don't get that day off so it would have required the use of another vacation day...which I didn't want to do.

Yeah, too bad you won't be there on the 2nd. It was the only day that PinkBudgie's family had off that coincided with days they could use their APs. I also have an AP and only live an hour away so i guess there's a slight chance I could show up at DLR for a last minute trip during the time you're there. Hope you have a great trip!

...ME TOO! Especially since my kids (ages 4 & 6) insisted they wanted they wanted the next trip to be a surprise. We were watching YouTube videos this summer of kids getting surpise Disneyland trips, and my kids said they wanted to be surprised too and made me promise not the tell them the next time we were going. So, I haven't been able to share any iof the excitement, couldn't put up our usual DL countdown chain, can't talk endlessly about every little detail - I have to keep mum about everything. Where's the fun in that?!

We're going to pop into the park and visit with Pixiewings and, hopefully, the Waisowski/Shyboy/Axiom/Disneylover clan.

We had to cancel our long-awaited Jan 1-10 WDW trip, so being the "hosting local" for out-of-town DISers will more than make up for it!

Going Jan 24-30! Will stay at GCH on DVC points. Dragging along 3 friends and going to CHA convention

One of our group is celebrating her birthday and it's her first time to DL.
The rest of us have been once before ... although the last time I was there was 40 years ago (so it might as well be my 1st time! )

Looks like IASW and HM will be closed to remove Christmas decorations - but there will be so much else to see and experience!
DL closes at 8p that week - wonder if there will be fireworks. Anyone know?

Meanwhile .... and wait for Thanksgiving and Christmas to be over so I can start packing

We'll be there with friends the 10th-13, then start our ABD Backstage Magic trip, so be back 15-18. The only bummer is Fantasmic is down and there is no parade in DL scheduled. Otherwise, can't wait! Plan to check out the Outlet, Blue Sky Cellar and DVC models..new things to do all the time

We'll be there from 22-23rd. It's a short trip, but DH's company is paying for the flight and hotel in San Diego for the weekend, so we decided to add a day and drive up to DLR. Never been before, although we go to WDW every year. I can't wait to see the original.

SOOOO the crew for our family trip will be the regular DIS quartet : Shyboy72, me, TheAXIOM, and disneyL0VE (of course) + another cousin who needs a little Disney encouragement (he says he's lost the magic).

We're going to drive from San Jose @ 4 am on Saturday the 3rd and stay until the 6th. We're not going in the parks on the 6th, but it is disneyL0VE's birthday that day. We're gonna stay for lunch at DTD so we can buy her first drink on her 21st birthday. After that, we're driving home.

We're thinking of doing the Mickey and Friends breakfast. I'm not sure what day we'll do it though.

We'll be in town January 21st - 26th. We're staying at the Anaheim Plaza. We're just doing a 3-day hopper. We'll be at the park in the afternoon/evening of the 21st (our flight lands around 10am that day.) Then we'll probably do the park on the 22nd (hopefully it won't be crowded.) And then again on the 25th. Fun fun! I can't believe it's been more than a year since we've been to Disneyland. Quite a change from when we used to go once a week!

One of these days I really should book our hotel, plane tickets, car, and park tickets...haha.

We (hubby and I) are planning on being in DL on the afternoon of Jan 5 and on the 6th and 7th, heading down to San Diego on the 8th.

We actually fly out on Dec 20th, to head to Hawaii and Las Vegas, so I had better start thinking about what I need to do before then huh? First off I have to finish the school year - with moving classrooms etc - before I get too carried away. Too much to do! This has rushed up somehow.

You should take her in to get her free fun card, that way she can buy herself a birthday gift! DBF's b-day is the 7th so we are getting him the card so he can himself something nice. We are driving down on the 3rd too, but we aren't leaving that early! LOL We need to exchange phone numbers so I can text you when we get there. We are free on Monday, except for our BB lunch I planned, that's at 11:30 am.

I am surprising my DD9 with a christmas gift to go to Disneyland from Jan 1 to 10. What are the parks like on Jan 1? Is it as crazy as Dec 31. We will be arriving Jan 1 and probably will be prepared to head to the park around noon. Is that reasonable?

Oh I know! Our plans are kind of up in the air depending on how busy the crowds are so maybe we can meet up with you guys and Nancy to pose with your LGMHs. I'm planning on making more sturdy LGMH name tags because all of our broke and disneyL0VE's fell off on Space Mountain !

Oh no! lol I think I have some saved on my computer, I was going to try to find a cool font and print them with my name on them. I've got photo laminates that I'm going to use, I'm going to put them on with my Mickey Head keychain so the only thing I need to find is a hole punch. I think I have one, I just have to find it. LOL

I hope it's not busy!! I know it's the last weekend of Christmas stuff but I still hope it's not too busy. We definitely need to do pics of us with our LGMH's!!!!! Definitely!!!

I've never been in the parks on the 1st so I don't know. I do think it will be busy yes, and it will stay busy over the weekend but I'm hoping that it dramatically dies off on Monday the 5th. Watch for me, I will have my LGMH on!!
