The couple we are traveling with in June wanted me to change our ADR from the Maya Grille to the Yachtsman, which I did. I read the menu over at allears but wondered if anyone could give me a review. We all love love love steak, but stick to the less fancy kind. Like Le Cellier. We are on the dining plan. Does anyone have an opinion?

The Yachtsman is a must do for me on every trip. Our son's (20 and 24) also love it and everyone that I have recommended it to also loves it, but there are a lot of others who don't. If you do a search on the boards you will find many differing opinions. I've always had great service, great food and a good time. I'm at WDW about 3 times each year and I always go there. The Yachtsman is expensive, for the dining plan it is a 2ts credit meal (as compared to Le Cellier which is a 1 ts credit meal), but well worth it. I have the DDE card and receive a 20% discount so that works well (DVC is a 10% discount). The dress for the Yachtsman is business casual. I enjoy having a window table to watch the people go by. The Crews Cup lounge is a great place to hang out waiting for your ADR to come up. After dinner a walk around the boardwalk is a great way to end the day. Have fun.

I dont really go for the fancy food myself, and I love YSH!!! I have had 3 amazing meals there in the past 2 years. Everything from the bread with garlic to dessert has been perfect!

This link will take you to my review of our first experience here.

We were on the dining plan last September and ate at the Yachtsman for 2TS. It was one of my favorite meals. We had filet mignon and lobster tail (think they took it off the menu now) and shrimp coctail for appetizer. We shared the dessert sampler which counted as both of our desserts and had coffee. The bill came to 184.00 and we didn't have to pay anything. We did leave our server an extra tip. The meal was very good and worth it.

Glad to know Yachtsman Steakhouse gets so many good reviews!! We are trying it for the first time on our next trip! It will be our "last night at Disney" meal! Can't wait!!!!

Thanks for the reviews of Yachtmans .I have a reservation there in September! :goodvibes

We really enjoyed it. We wanted a non-fancy but nice dinner for us while DD played at the Neverland Club. It was a great meal that we both enjoyed. Our server was very knowledgeable about the wine selection and the meal suggestions. We waddled back to the world showcase after the dessert sampler! There were families eating around us and it was a warm friendly place.

My brother and I ate here last Sept. and it was wonderful. The breads were awesome, the steaks were perfect and I loved the veggies. We had a really strange server but we made a joke out of it so it didn't ruin the meal. I'm not kidding, I think she was drinking, doing drugs or a combination. But the food was outstanding.

My mother, my wife and I ate there two years ago and we still talk about it to this day. It was the best dinner we have ever had. Now grant you these opinions are very subjective because we all have varying palates but it was unanamously the most memorable meal the three of us have ever had. Just check out the meat in the window when you first walk in. These people defintely get some of the best cuts anywhere. Treat yourself to the delicious mushroom dish or the crab bisque and be prepared for some of the best desserts anywhere. Don't let the little fancy part stop you. We all deserve an experience like this and so do you! Enjoy!!

Me! Me! I've been to the Yachtsman and love it! In fact, we have been every trip since they opened in 91.

You have made a great choice! enjoy :thumbsup2
