Who'll stop the rain ? (east coast)

I have never in my life remember having so much rain day after freakin' day. I feel like we're losing out on all these loooonng days of summer. When will it end????

No kidding huh, I am so sick of rain! :headache:

I think I saw on the news this week that we've had something like 4 days of sun for the entire month of June!

All we can do now is hope that July and August aren't a bust like June was!

Not to mention the 60 degree temps. :sad2:

10 day forcast doesn't look any different than the last 2 weeks have.

Seriously! This is ridiculous!
Personally, I love a rainy day, I'd be happy if it rained once a week, every week, but this is way too much-I want heat and sun-I want my summer to start!

The only consulation (sp?) is that school isn't out until next Friday.

Can't imagine this many days of rain with kids indoors, too!:rotfl2:

Honestly I dont care who stops it as long as it stops!!! Another week of this!?!?! Come on already!!!

OP thanks for the link.. I'm listening to come CCR now

OK, I admit it, it's all my fault. :rolleyes1

We signed a contract to have an inground pool installed. We got the permits on May 27th. It started to rain the next day and has not stopped since.

Yes, there have been one or two isolated nice days since then, but never dry for long enough for the ground to dry out enough for the digger and trucks to get into the back yard. We've put down tarps, covered the path with sheets of plywood, installed diverters on all the downspouts - still no good. The contractor is afraid his equipment will sink and get stuck in the mud.

So go ahead, flame away. I've got thick skin, I can take it.

And if it gets too hot, I can just go outside and stand in the rain.

Funny thing is we put in new landscaping right before this all started and my concern was watering:rotfl2: I think we're covered.

I hope it's sunny for a while tomorrow, the kids have a bunch of pool parties to celebrate the last day of school.

I think its been raining since April. I honestly can't think of one day when it didnt rain. Well maybe Memorial Day weekend. The weather forecast here in New Jersey said we're only going to have 9 MORE days of rain!!!!

I feel like I'm living in the rain forest. Without the forest. This is ridiculous.

FROM YOUR LIPS ...............:thumbsup2
IT HAS BEEN JUST AWFUL!!

It's a bit ridiculous isn't it? I've been stuck inside for the past 2 weeks with the flu and now my dd has it so it's not been so bad for us but my other kids are going batty!

I wish we could swap for a few days. Here it is 98, high humidity, and no rain anywhere in sight! There is a 20% chance of rain next Tuesday, and they are hoping it will drop to the low 90s then too!

Every morning I turn on the Today Show and listen to them complain about how cold it is. It is usually already 80 here when I get up!

Yep, still raining off and on in the DC/Maryland area too. I am soooo tired of it. I keep telling myself that, come August, I will be wishing for rain. Hum.

Please, bring on some SUNSHINE. :cool2::cool2:

I'm about ready to tear my hair out up here at the lake! :headache: I can only remember one other year when we had this much rain..

We had rain part of Saturday, most of Sunday, all day Monday & Tuesday - a break yesterday - started again last night and has been raining (heavily) all day today.. Tomorrow will be cloudy and 65 degrees (DGD's class trip to the Great Escape) - then back to rain Saturday, Sunday, and the forecast is currently calling for rain up here all of next week..

This has been the pattern for weeks now (only one or two days out of each week when it hasn't rained at one point or another) and I'm not really a "rain" person (only at night - to lull me to sleep).. I believe they have closed the flood gates, so I wouldn't be surprised if we see the lake levels rise to near-flooding (if not definite flooding) conditions soon..

I'm not anxious for "hot and humid" either, but sun and 75 degrees or so would be nice..:goodvibes Today I had to turn the heat back on because it was so damp and chilly..:headache::headache:
