"I want to figure out my romantic connection with him" yea I guess she will be sending John home tonight...not a good thing when a bachelor/ette says that.

We have that problem here in the U.S. with people getting mad that people don't speak English. I would think that abroad, THEY should expect you try their language. Or just point to what you want & hold up 2 fingers.

Even that could get you in trouble! I just heard on the radio that if you hold up two fingers (like the peace sign) in England you need to make sure that your palm faces the person because if it doesn't it means the same thing as our "One Fingered Salute" .

I would NOT be hanging out in an apartment all day if I were in a foreign country. I'd climb down the balcony or something and get away to go sightseeing by myself.

It's obvious from the previews later that the guys can "sneak out" to find Emily. So it's not like they are under Martial Law and can't get out.
