Prayers for your kiddos! I am a pediatric nurse in a community hospital and we have seen a surprising number of admissions this summer for all kinds of crazy viruses. It has been a really busy summer. I wonder if it has anything to do with the weird weather this past winter? Speedy recovery in your home!

God bless you! I have only been dealing with TWO sick kids and for 2 1/2 weeks and I'm ready to have a nervous breakdown. How do you do it every single day?!

I am so lucky to be married to a woman who is clearly following her calling. While HIPPA means that I never hear details, her beaming smile speaks loudly about what it means for her to be a vital part of the solution.

How sweet The world can use more good nurses. I have had some real winners. I was very sick as a child, and my sister who passed away 2 years ago was severely handicapped and dealt with many nurses as well. Some nurses really need an attitude adjustment. It's always a pleasure to deal with a great nurse. I wish you could work here in NYC!

My son is going to St Cloud State University for Business Management & possibly play baseball in the spring ... How about your daughter?

My DD is going to University of Illinois. She was this close to going to University of Minnesota. But then she realized that she would probably end up in temp housing because she didn't know that you could sign up for housing before you were even accepted. That really scared her since she wouldn't know anyone there and was afraid it might be a harder adjustment in temp housing and then being moved etc. I am happy. U of I is much closer to us and our DS will be a senior there - someone to watch over her.

BOTH kids are sick now. It appears to be another virus. I think we are staying in the house until our trip!

3 weeks from today I'll be sitting in Hawaii enjoying a beer!

We watched the Disney Parks marathon on Destination America last night. Today DD has been watching the parades and Dream Along With Mickey on Youtube. Is it August yet?!

18 DAYS!!!!

Holy Guacamole! Not gonna lie. Pretty excited...

I have mixed emotions. I can't wait for our Disney trip......but the closer it gets, the closer I get to becoming an empty-nester.

Leaving Disney at the end of our trip will be even harder than usual this year.

Our DD leaves for college 10 days after we return. So excited for her new journey beginning, but we will miss her greatly. I know that it is the nature of parenthood, but it is still hard.

You are both very sweet, but I do not deserve such compliments. I just followed my heart and was lucky enough to have an inceredibly supportive family who stand behind my endeavors! Dani, I am sorry to hear about your sister.

So I thought I'd post my proposed park schedule so we can compare. Of course, this is just my plan and is always subject to change. We run on the majority rules plan on vacation. We are most definitely rope-drop people,though.

Hi everybody!

Just discovered this place this week....and I think I've logged WAY too many computer hours since!!

We check in to Poly on August 19th, for 4 days/3 nights (way too short).

Our plans:

8/19 - MK
8/20 - HS
8/21 - EP
8/22 - AK

Then we head to DelRay Beach for 5 days to stay at my Mom & Step-Dad's condo. We're heading back to Orlando on the morning of the 28th, and plan to go back to Magic Kingdom to use our last day pass.

On the 29th we're off to Harry Potter land - yay! And then we head home to Ontario on the 30th.
