We are going the week of Nov.12th - 19th, week before Thanksgiving. I have never been to WDW that week. How are the crowds? Do I need PS's? How is the weather, warm enough to swim?

We were at WDW last year from 11/14-24. The crowds were great until the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. Then crowds picked up ALOT. Even the food court at the hotel was crazy. Weather was wonderful. It was around 80 and perfect for the pool. We had PS set up and used them. Most of the time they were not needed except for hard to get into places. It was sunny everyday and we never had any rain. I think its a great time to go.

Hi amwhitaker - we did not go last year but have gone many times the week before TG. Like Luv Donald Duck said the parks will be crazy from the day before TG through the weekend. We have had fabulous weather and freezing (for WDW anyway) weather, I hope you get the fabulous weather. The most desirable times at the more popular restaurants will be taken. If you know there are some specific restaurants you would like to dine at go ahead and make PS's for them. If you wake up that morning and decide you would rather change your plans just cancel the PS (in other words don't be a slave to your PS's). When we go I always make PS's for San Angel's, LeCellier, Teppanyaki, LTT, 50's PT, Brown Derby, 'Ohana's and Fultons because if I don't I know there will be a good chance we won't get in. If you think the PS's might be to restrictive to your park touring that's ok too. I guarantee you won't go hungry :) Hope you have a great time.

We're going that week too and it's our first trip! :flower:

We are going the 17th-22. I have heard that the crowds are not bad the week before Thanksgiving but really start to pick up the day before and the day of Thanksgiving. We are leaving the day before the day before the day of Thanksgiving(i guess I could have just said two days before Thanksgiving LoL). HAve a great trip!
