When we valeted at BCV last time we had no problem re-parking for free at AKL, GF and CR. We were staying on cash though so maybe there is a different pass they give to DVC members?
I would think Disney would want to use this perk to encourage DVCers to eat out at the deluxe resorts instead of staying in and cooking, but maybe not.

Here's the how the perk is officially worded:
<blockquote>Valet Parking at the Walt Disney World® Resort
Disney Vacation Club Members are not charged for valet parking at Disney's Beach Club Resort, Disney's BoardWalk Resort or Disney's Wilderness Lodge, regardless of where you're staying. You must present your Disney Vacation Club Member card or Walt Disney World Resort ID with your "DVC Member" designation on it when leaving your vehicle to be parked.
You will be charged the daily fee of $6.00 for this service at any other valet parking operation at the Walt Disney World Resort. Once you've paid for the valet service, you'll receive unlimited valet parking for the remainder of the day. Whether or not you are charged to valet park, gratuities are still appropriate. There will be no charge for guests with disabilities who have the proper permits. </blockquote>
I think it's pretty clear.
It may be possible to avoid the "daily fee of $6.00 for this service at any other valet parking operation at the Walt Disney World Resort," but they're supposed to charge you $6.00 for your first non-DVC resort valet parking of the day.

So is pool hopping the same, only allowed at DVC properties too?

Guess you think it is okay to exceed the speed limit just because you didn't get a ticket the last time you drove your car????????
And probably will complain when you get caught!
Think I'm out of this thread.

The intent is that the DVC valet parking perk only applies at the Beach Club, Wilderness Lodge, and Boardwalk -- not at the Grand Floridian or even the Yacht Club (which is attached to the Beach Club). In other words, it only applies to DVC resorts, and only to those that have valet parking.
You'll pay $6 for valet parking at the Grand Floridian.
As wdwdvcdad wrote, he's figured out that you can valet park at one of the three DVC resorts first, and that if the valet paking attendent leaves the valet tag in your car, you can then park at another resort, such as the Grand Floridian, without paying the valet parking fee there. That's not the intent of the DVC perk.
When any perks are abused, we face he possibility of losing those perks entirely.

My 2 cents. I believe that the ticket or whatever small paper you get in your car is different than the one you would get for paying cash. After my initial check in at any valet DVC resort, I was never asked for DVC ID because my parking permit clearly said "member parking permit". All other permits say "guest parking permit" alone with the resort you are registered at. Every time I have had my car brought up, I had no return piece of paper for a valet at another non-DVC resort, nor was there a tag hanging from the mirror. Once they see that "member parking permit" on the dash, it's a different routine as far as the type of ticket you get. If they mention to me that it would cost $6 I flash my DVC id and that would be it. I would love to go from BWV to the GF and valet for free but I can't. I have never been turned away from self parking at almost any resort mainly because I usually don't visit during the real busy time.
I posted the rules, without changing one word.Originally posted by wdwdvcdad
If you want to give away your money needlessly, go ahead. Just don't expect others to follow your foolish advice, and do not get offended when they figure out how foolish it is. SO, maybe it is the intent...YOU DO NOT KNOW BECAUSE YOU DID NOT WRITE IT! Stop acting like you do.

A silly analogy, but yes. And good bye. Come back when you are actually able to make a salient point about the subject. I'm telling you what happens, & you take offense. Time to get a grip.

That is correct. And not only at BCV but at VWL and BWV too.

While staying at the BCV we were charged at the Grand Floridian and Polynesian when we arrived for dinner.
I agree.Originally posted by Dean
Just don't be surprised if they figure it out pretty quick. And as someone else mentioned, it might lead to an early end to the perk in general.
