I'm planning in going to disney in the summer for a week and am wondering if I should book though the net of CAA, an CAA give me a better rate even though we are going for the kids stay and play free. Last time I went through caa and it worked well but our plane tickets were way too much. How hard is it to book online? is booking the bus easy too?

Booking online is very very simple. I have booked myself online both times I have went and found it very simple. You do have to do you research to make sure you are not overlooking an aspect of the trip.

You could also call Disney they are very helpful and knowledgeable and could help you book everything.

We love Disney and go at least once a year. We could book ourselves but always use Christine at Fairytale Dreams and Destinations. They are really Disney experts and Christine is available by email at at all times to answer any questions. I know I email her all the time. I just like knowing I have a great agent who works all the time with just Disney, so that if I do encounter any difficulties she is a phone call away.

Hope this helps,
Allison

I can't show the website....but do a search under Fairytale Dreams and Destinations, it is a Canadian agency

This trip I booked my own airfare. I watched the airfare prices weekly. One day the prices were really low and great, as soon as I booked mine though the price went back to the normal price.

I purchased my tickets through Undercovertourist through the mousesavers discount. (subscribe to the newsletter to get this link it comes out on the 15th of the month).

I actually used 2 different TA for my trip, one for the land and one for sea (only because it was a group trip and I had to).

I would recommend either of them. They are both online companies and you mainly communicate via email, but you can talk by phone if you wish. One is of course dreams.

You can use any TA in Canada, but do your research first as they don't always know the best choices. Dreams and the other TA I use both will watch your reservation for better deals so if the price goes down you will save.

I hope I was a little helpful to you. Our biggest expense was our airfare.

I book online myself for any of our stays. I book our resort package through disney, then for airfare (when we do fly) I just search fares at Kayak.com and then also check out the individual airlines websites and book directly with the airlines.

I am pretty hands on, so I don't see how I would benefit using a TA.

Another vote for Christine at Fairytale Dreams. I booked our Disney cruise with her because the choices and deals were way out of my realm of experience. I am in NS and she's in ON and it was never an issue.

Booked our first trip to WDW with CAA and we knew waaaay more than our agent did by the end of it. Not all "Disney experts" are created equal.

That said, I generally do my own booking. Or at least my own research. I know with the cruise I found a good deal then said to Christine, will this work? She got all the details in place, and it didn't cost me any more than doing it myself. Depends, really, if you have the time and the interest to do it. I take it as a challenge usually. (You will find a post from me somewhere here that says "I want to know when I get on the plane that no one on it paid less than I did." A girl's gotta have a goal! ;))

Good luck! This place is a gold mine too...got my hotel and villa rental through recommendations from the good people on the Canadian Dis.

I book online, always have. Airfare is so much cheaper to just book through the airline's website. For booking rooms at WDW, there are great general public discounts right now, check on the website and click on Special Offers at the bottom of the main page. I just booked for March Break and got a value room for only $87/night. And when you book room only, you just pay the first night's deposit and pay the balance on the day you arrive! You can get your tickets in advance throught Undercover Tourist if you like - I subscribe to the Mousesavers.com newsletter and it gives you even more savings - plus UT will ship your tickets free with a savings of at least $22 off gate price each for an adult hopper. I love planning trips, so it's lots of fun for me searching for the best deal and making changes if I want. You can even book your Disney Dining on line now with no payments required in advance. Happy planning!:goodvibes

Can someone please email me the Mousesavers newsletter?
I deleted my last one and I'm looking to purchase Disney tickets before the next one comes out.

Any help would truly be appreciated

We had a whole plethora of options (RCI/points, doing a TA, CAA etc.) and were waiting for the best deal. I signed up for Disney mail and got a pin ror 35% which solidified it for us. Also we decided to fly out of the States so the whole package from disney.com really ended up making sense for us.

Even though my Grandmother is a ex-TA and could have helped us out, I wanted complete and utter control over everything so I decided to be my own TA so to speak.

I guess my best advice is to decide what you're like and what will be cheapest/least hassle for you.

I prefer to book everything myself. That way I have total control over the arrangements and I am free to call the resort or where ever and make changes or requests.
