Who Loves College Football

None of my family are fans of Hope!!! I sure was hoping that Brock Spacks would have gotten the job. Brock would not have let this team slip to where it is.

I agree with you on Brock Spack, he should have been the coach. He is doing very will at ISU. Took a lousing team and in the first year they were a winning team. This year they are off to a 3-1 start.

Let's keep it up this week against Penn State!

IOWA 24, Penn State 3

Iowa loves those Nittany Lions early in the season - 3rd loss in a row to Iowa, who was ranked lower than them each time.

Toledo.....Toledo....Let's hope they have a better game against Northwestern. I pull for all big ten teams EXCEPT IU and Michigan. In a game between the two I would hope Michigan wins. That's how much I don't like IU

Spoken like a true Boiler - which I am as well!

GrumpyPOTFH, I was there during the Jim Young/Mark Herrmann era. It was a good time then as well.

I miss Joe Tiller . . .

GO HAWKS!!! Love me some Iowa Hawkeye football - the best part about fall! :)

DH LOVES College Football (doesn't watch PRO) He is not to be disturbed on Saturdays LOL.

Yes, Iowa has had our number the past couple years.....I'll still take our 2 National Titles and 6 undefeated seasons. How many of those floating around Iowa?????

Ancient history.

Have they done anything in the last 10 years???

Oh, yeah, they have - LOST to Iowa 8 of their last 9 meetings.

Remember this?

It was a pretty good Saturday.

ND beat BC
Florida was exposed for being WAAAY overrrated (no way they should have been #7)
IU gave Michigan a great game.....today they couldnt pull off the victory.

This past Saturday was definitely not a date to be missed.

It really is a great time to be a Crimson Tide fan.

Let's hope Spurrier doesn't have too much up his sleeve this week.

We were at a local sports bar Saturday night watching the Nevada/UNLV game. The table next to us was a bunch of Crimson Tide Fans, probably about 10 people. The rest of the bar and it holds hundreds was all Nevada fans. Every TV in the place, with the exception of the one directly in front of our table neighbbors, was tuned to the Nevada game. Those Crimson fans, were as loud as the rest of us! :lmao:

There are over 4 million people in the state of Alabama. Please don't let 10 people influence your opinion of us.

Plus, the TIDE has had a few lean years...so we are still glowing in the success.

Will the Big Ten is really interesting. I think the following is true. I/U,IL, Purdue and MN are what we thought they were even though IL and Purdue won this weekend. Ohio State, Michigan State and Wis are the top of the conf. as was expected.

Now for the surprises.

Penn State is in trouble, I thought they would be at the the top of the conf.

Iowa seems to be as good as they thought they were, see if they do not do the normal dive at the 2nd half of the season as in most years.

I think Michigan is better them mos thought, even with this weekends loss.

Was a fun saturday of games in the Big Ten.

Wins over Connecticut, Notre Dame, UMASS, Bowling Green and Indiana. Only Indiana has a winning record of those teams, and the UMASS in Division 1-AA. Denard Robinson was running up his stats against bad and mediocre teams. Michigan is a 7-5 or 8-4 team at best this season.

I think we must have been there at the same time. I started in 78 and graduated in 82. Oh...those were the days.

We are not fans of Hope either. Purdue is a passing school in case he hadn't heard. I am thrilled they beat Northwestern. I remember the days when Northwestern was always our Homecoming because it was a sure win. Now we're the "Homecoming" team they Hope to play. We were at the last game Tiller coached. Purdue beat IU by 50+ points.

I guess South Carolina wanted it more. But I still love my team! We will do better next week.

Roll Tide!

The Tide has turned! Sorry, LOL! Gamecock fan here. We don't get this excitement very often! They played a near perfect game Saturday! Very exciting game to watch. Both teams actually played very well. Hopefully we can keep up the momentum! Go Gamecocks!

I disagree with a few of your observations. Michigan is a total fraud. They beat a mediocre Notre Dame team and went down to the wire with a very weak IU team. Michigan has no defense.

The surprise is Illinois. Took Ohio State down to the wire, and crushed Penn St. on the road. Illinois will beat IU, Purdue, and Minnesota at home. Will probably lose to Mich St., but I think IL will beat Michigan and NW on the road. (NW is at Wrigley Field). They would be 6-2 in the Big Ten. If i'm wrong I"ll come back and eat crow.

I think you are being kind. They may beat Purdue, possibly Penn St. I see 6-6, 7-5 at best.
