~!Who knew you could relax in Disney?~Mother/Daughter Tr~5/2 May Trip Plans Days 5-8

Love the pic of you guys with Santa! Did you make it your Christmas card? Oh you should've, it's so cute! I'd like to wish you and Caitlin a very Merry Christmas! Have a wonderful holiday and I hope it's filled with Disney presents!

Oh, I'm not holding out much hope for that Disney Dooney & Bourke though, sniffle. DH gave me my gift last night, a new camera lens! I'm not complaining but boy would I have loved that purse!

Thank you! I agree that would have been a great Christmas card picture but I had already ordered picture cards. Being the Disney freaks we are, our picture is a family pic in front of the castle from the Wishes Dessert Party. (haven't gotten that far in our TR yet )

There are going to be a lot of Disney gifts under our tree. I did a lot of shopping on our trip :thumbsup2

That new camera lens will be great for your vacation! :goodvibes

Merry Christmas to you and your family! :santa:

Hey, that doesn't make you a Disney freak! If I had a good pic of my family and I in front of the castle, I'd totally make it my card too!:thumbsup2

I'm really looking forward to using my new lens at Disney in January! But just think how styling I'd look if I had a Disney Dooney & Bourke hanging on my arm! I might just have to sweet talk DH while we're at Disney that I simply *need* this purse! Think he'll cave in? It's possible, I'm not giving up hope!:goodvibes

How awesome that you guys got to take in Mary Poppins...the theatre looked beautiful.

Hope you guys have a wonderful Christmas:goodvibes

You just need to convince him what a great souvie that bag would be! Do you have a Disney Visa? That would save you 10% making it practically a steal :rotfl:

Loved Cape May when we had breakfast there last year. Everything was so fantastic. Glad to hear that you all enjoyed it too.

That's so great that you got to see Mary Poppins. I saw it when it came down here and it was fantastic. It wasn't the movie, but still was fun. The musical numbers, sets and cast really brought the show to life. :thumbsup2

Hope you all have a fantatic Christmas.

The breakfast and dinner at Cape May were both favorites of ours! :thumbsup2

I'm glad you enjoyed Mary Poppins too :) I wasn't really prepared for how different it would be from the film but you're right it was still fun!

Thank you Meeko! Merry Christmas to you too :santa:

I hope you three had a wonderful holiday! Looks like you've had a very fun and festive season too. Love the family picture with Santa!

I hope everyone had a great holiday! Our Christmas was all Disney from place settings to Dance Star Mickey to Epic Mickey! It wasa great Christmas and now I am ready to update!

After I checked out the room I hurried off to catch a bus to Blizzard Beach. The park opened at 10 and I was already late! Well I ended up forgetting the cooler so my parents met me at the bus stop outside and after 15 minutes the bus finally arrived! I was very excited not only as this my first time visitng a water park since I was in Middle School but I felt so grown up exploring Disney on my own!

I started taking pictures from the bus and took a picture of the one slide I wanted to conquer the Summit Plummet!

It is very high up!

Once I got off the bus I continued on the gates but first stopping for pictures!

Once inside I found a photopass photographer and got my first of many pictures for the day!

disney20102344.jpg

That was one thing I loved about photopass at the water park! My camera isn't water proof so any pictures I got of myself that day were from photopass and it was so convenient! The photopass photographer was a bit creepy though he asked me what my zodiac sign was and proceeded to tell me all about his! I didn't want to be rude but I was already late to the park opening and really wanted to go have fun! So after I politely brushed him off I finally got inside of the park!

I continued to take pictures then had to take a picture with a family I saw

I found a lounge chair out by Melt-Away Bay their main pool and hurried off to the chair lift to get to Summit Plummet!

Riding the chair lift was quite the experience throughout the day since I was alone I was always placed with two strangers I had very good experiences! This ride I was on with a mother and son from Britain who were very nice and the son was telling me all of the rides he went on so far :cutie: It was a nice way to start the day!

Once I got to the top I hurried off to the Summit Plummit line which was very long! I was stuck behind some very obnoxious teenaged girls and found out I was lucky when I chose my day because a bunch of high schools were there! Yep annoying teenagers all day! :headache:

Finally the line ended after hearing too much about the lives of these girls and I got to go down Summit Plummet! It was crazy but so much fun!

I then went back up the ski lift with a brother and a sister who were very nervous about Summit Plummet and headed off to Teamboat Springs! This was such a fun ride! Although the rafts sit 4-6 people so you have to wait for that amount to show up before you can get on the ride. It was a ton of fun though and definitely one of my favorite rides!

At the end of the ride there was a Photopass photographer so I had to stop and take some pictures!

I then headed up the ski lift to ride Teamboat Springs one more time!

After my second ride I headed to their Lazy River which is known as Cross Country Creek. I had so much fun lazing around in this! They have Photopass photographers set up around the area so I had to stop at every one!

My favorite part was the theming! They had this little snow cottage in the middle of the river and you would hear someone singing inside of the cottage and then they would sneeze and water would shoot out of the chimney  It was so cute and fun!

I eventually got out of the water to head to Runoff Rapids this was a lot of fun but when I was in line there was a lot of confusion since a family thought they could ride down any slide with a two seater and that wasn't the case and none of them wanted to go down the covered slide

It was a fun ride although didn't compare to anything I had down thus far. I was getting hungry so I headed off to a counter service stand and grabbed a tropical hot dog.

It was delicious! I also had a great view

disney20102350.jpg

and really enjoyed my lunch! At this point I tried taking a nap but I couldn't so I went out to the pool to swim some and get some more photopass pictures.

Photo0094.jpg

After I was done it was getting close to the time I had planned to leave so I headed up the ski lift once more to go on the Toboggan Racers which were a lot of fun and finally the Slush Gusher! I had a lot of fun on both of these and went once more around the Creek and packed up to meet up with my parents again!

Next up: What my parents were up to during this time!

Sounds like an awesome day at TL! The picture of you on the lazy river blowing a kiss is just adorable. My DH is itchin to go to one of the waterparks and after seeing several updates on them in various TRs, I'm almost convinced!

Sounds like you had a blast Caitlin!
Looks like alot of fun.
We've never done the water parks - maybe when the kids get a bit older.
Do you like Blizzard Beach better than Typhoon Lagoon?

haha, I love how they even take your picture going down Summit Plummet! That's awesome. Looks like you had a great time. BB is so much fun.

Seems like you had fun at Blizzard Beach. I'm not that into water parks, but the theming does look cool. I got to see a little bit of it on the way to Winter Summerland on my last trip and liked what I saw.

Great update! Glad to hear your Disney Christmas was wonderful too! Did you get the Epic Mickey for the Wii? I'm debating getting it for my kids and was curious if it was fun. It looks fun.:goodvibes

You know, we've never gone to any of the water parks with our kids! I just realized that. Blizzard beach looks awesome though, and I love the backstory as well.:thumbsup2 But a creepy photopass guy? Yuck!

Wow, you rode Summet Plummet? Girl, you are brave! My legs feel like jelly right now just thinking of how high up that thing is! And how nice that you were surrounded by teenage girls! I always chuckle to myself in line when I hear them giving minute details of their lives loudly! Ugh, was I ever like that as a teen? I'm hoping I wasn't but I was pretty oblivious at that age!

It sounds like you had a fabulous solo day. And what better place than at Disney to do so!:goodvibes
