~!Who knew you could relax in Disney?~Mother/Daughter Tr~5/2 May Trip Plans Days 5-8

Sounds like a great night!
And I second the need to experience all modes of transportation! :thumbsup2

Did Caitlin and Dale rub it in that you forgot the fact that the WDW Railroad does not operate that late?
I'm sure my family would not let their insane Disney Dad live that one down. :lmao:

And I love Jungle Cruise at night!
I just tried it last year for the 1st time and now I always want to ride it at night.
It makes it a totally different experience!!

Thanks it was a fun night and you can't beat all the walkons! :thumbsup2

They took my train mistake better than I did

For us the JC must be done twice every trip. Once at night and onece during the day since it feels different each way :)

Great update Dawn.

Wow - so many walk-ons and really short lines. Sounds like the perfect evening in MK. I love the Jungle Cruise at night - its so perfect and a great skipper makes it.

I also love BTMMR at night - probably my favorite night time experience.

I love that you guys try to use all the different modes of transportation.

Awesome day!!!!!

Thanks MaryEllen! :)

It was a perfect MK evening!

Dale would agree with you about BTMR! He absolutely loved it and couldn't stop talking about it after :)

Great Update! I love all of the pictures of MK at night.

I love the picture with Duffy. When I was at Disney a few years ago they had a bear that size and I wanted it soooooooo bad, but b/c I was being cheap I got the tiny version instead. Once we left I wished I had just gotten the bigger one. Next, trip I will pick up that bear. I don't really know where to put it, but I'll find somewhere!

It looks so nice not to have any lines at the rides. I hope I can convince DH to hit the MK evening hours.

Looking forward to the next update.popcorn::

Thank you!

I wish I had gotten Duffy but there's always next time :)

We really like evening magic hours and have had great luck with the crowds at all the parks during that time. We tend to skip morning emh UNLESS we can be there before rope drop. I've found the park with morning emh tends to fill up fast by like 10am

What a cool picture! it looks right out of the Mexico pavilion in Epcot!

Great update! Looking forward to your DHS day!

Great update! We missed out on JC our last trip, so I hope Lily won't be too afraid to go on rides again this time around. I love riding BTMR at night. So much fun. Your bread pudding picture from Ohana is making me rethink our decision not to eat there for dinner in Feb.....Too many places to eat, so little time

I bet you'll find that every trip her comfort level grows and she enjoys new and different things :goodvibes

It is really fun to ride BTMR and JC at night and we were really glad we made it there for EMH :)

Isn't it hard to narrow down adrs?! There are so many wonderful choices! When we made our original adrs we planned to skip 'Ohana but as it drew closer I knew we had to go back. I just love the steak, noodles and of course that bread pudding :lovestruc

Sounds like a fantastic evening. You all got to do a lot of attractions in that time.

Afrer hearing so many good things about it in various TRs here, I really want to do the Jungle Cruise at night, but it just hasn't worked out on the last couple of trips. I'm sure I'll get to it eventually.

Awesome update!

That is amazing that you guys were able to walk onto that many rides during EMH..how fun.

I agree that it was really disappointing that IASW was closed during that time, but I cannot wait to try it after the refurb.

Looking forward to hearing about DHS

The Jungle Cruise at night is a lot of fun and I hope you can do it on a future trip! You'll really like it :)

We definitely got lucky with all the walk ons!

It's nice to know I'm not the only one who missed IASW!

Great update! That is so cool you got to ride Jungle Cruise at night. We've never done that and it just seems like it would be such a different experience.

The Duffy bear so cute. I remember a few years ago they had colored ones. I never bought one but I should have...they go for an arm and a leg now! LOL. I did get the little storybook that goes with it though for my classroom library. It's super cute.

On your next trip you must try Jungle Cruise at night! It really is fun!

Aww that book is perfect for a classroom library! (espcially for a Disteacher!)

Hey Guys,

I have been sitting here trying to plan our next trip and I had some questions. Then, I remembered your trip report and think you might have some answers. Hope you don't mind.:)

I would like to rent DVC points for a few days next trip, which you guys did right? I am torn between Boardwalk and Beach Club. I can't do a split stay between both b/c the other days DD wants to stay at AKV. So did you have a preference? I would be traveling with my DH who would be happy to spend all day at the pool and DD6 who also loves to swim. I am leaning towards BC for the pool but Boardwalks pool looks cool too! Don't worry, no one is afraid of clowns. Did you guys book standard or preferred for Boardwalk?

Thanks for any opinions.

I can't believe it took me this long to find your TR! Love the mother/daughter input! Your room is so pretty and the view is perfect for slipping out for a late night swim :thumbsup2

We had the quiet pool view (1-bedroom) back in 1997 and loved seeing ToT (we were on the 4th floor). Our next trip in Feb 08 was above Wyland Gallery with a huge balcony in a studio and then in Dec 08 we had a boardwalk view. They first put us way down in room 2001 by Jellyrolls and I asked to be moved the next day and was placed on the third floor above the little blue awning between store and Thimbles & Threads. Our upcoming trip is a boardwalk view in a 2-bedroom (unfortunately I think it is going to have to be delayed til Feb or March :sad2:). As you can tell, we love BWV (have never stayed anywhere else - we have rented points the last 3 trips and I think it has the best views if you rent points).

You had a great idea about taking the BC/YC bus that night. We have gotten off the boat from HS at Swan/Dolphin and walked over as it seemed quicker.

I'm a little late joining in, but I've really enjoyed reading your TR so far. Its very cool to get 2 perspectives from mom & daughter.

My mom & I are headed to Disney in about 2 weeks for a trip together, so reading about what y'all did is just fueling the fire for my own trip.

Can't wait for more :goodvibes

Lucky you for all those Boardwalk stays! :)
I'm sorry your trip might be delayed. I hope it works out for you!

Thanks for joining us! :goodvibes
