Who is planning on being in Disneyland 7/17/2015?

3 more days till we go! So excited!

Now just to be clear one person has said glow ears on another board, and that place has a lot of people with a lot of rumours from a lot of relatives... but freebies or no, I'm excited!

I'll be there and after reading several posts looks like I need to arrive early. I hope it's not too crazy and crowded.

My DH and I will be celebrating our 60th birthdays this year, too and will be arriving on Wednesday to settle in and see what will be happening on the "day-of". We did the same thing for the 50th and found out about the line by asking around at Downtown Disney. Joined the line at midnight and that was a party all on its own! The suspense is tough to take. I'll keep watching here to see if anyone finds out anything new. "I'm too excited to sleep!"

I'm still planning on being there 6:30 - 7:00, hopefully I can get the kids up and out closer to 6:30, before the Mickey & Friends trams start dropping off. I'm on my own with 3 kids so I think it's best for us to spend the time in the park, rather than waiting in an early line since my 5 year only has so much patience and stamina.

I'm looking forward to hitting a couple rides, breakfast at River Belle Terrace and then our tour!!! Can't wait to be in the park on such a special day

No meet set-up yet. We'll be doing Discover the Magic until 12:00-12:30 and available after that.

Dateline Disneyland (aka Micechat's Disneyland Blog) has posted a schedule for the 17th. It lists a small re-dedication ceremony at 10:00 am, but no other major events.

I will be there the 16-20th! We'll be staying at the Camelot.. Reading all the past anniversary experiences makes me nervous about getting in!

I guess we'll see if anything else is released on the sixteenth. I am hoping though if nothing extravagant is planned that not a lot of people will go lol. However something tells me there is stuff that we won't know until the day before or the day of.

hm, so hopefully that means there won't be one then. I read in another thread there was one on Thursday but I'm pretty everyone would have known that by now.

I saw that in another thread as well and was kind of surprised by it. They had the big media event ahead of the kick-off of the 60th celebration, so I think it's somewhat unlikely that they'd have another one on that scale on the 16th (no new shows to debut!). I expect there to be media in the park on the 17th, but I don't really expect much on the 16th.

i was at world of disney in DTD on saturday and the lady said the open at 6AM so they know its gunna be crazy. She mentioned AP's getting a surprise gift but wasnt entirely sure about it. idk if she was just yanking my chain or misremembered her team meeting.

Hmmm ... wonder when passholders will be notified if the gift is for real? For MHP they sent a special mailing telling us where to go for our gift. Seems like there were emails too. Oh well, we'll be there with bells on and look forward to any special events and happenings that we're treated to!

We shall see. My GF and I will be there in our 50's get-ups and dont even plan on riding anything. more people watching and checking out whats going on that day. look for the bearded guy with well done hair and a girl with blinged out "diamond" flats hanging out on main st. lol

All packed and ready for our 6:30 am flight tomorrow - quick stop in Seattle for a concert and will in the parks on the 16th. Looking forward to the 17th - crowds and all!

Almost finished packing... we hit the road at 7am and hope to be in DCA at 11am after dropping off our pup and driving south!
