Who is going to WDW for New Years Eve?

Who is going to be at WDW for NYE? and what park do you plan on going to?

We'll be at Epcot for NYE. Best fireworks & count down.

We've booked our ADRs and are planning to spend the day at EPCOT. We're eating at the Biergarten for lunch. We're having dinner at the Rose & Crown at 6.30pm because it's the 'closest' we will be to being 'at home' and also because I believe there are additional fireworks at 7.30pm. (So if DS4 falls asleep he will have seen one lluminations Firework show).

I think EPCOT has EMH in the morning - so it's going to be a long day! Plenty of time to take it easy and soak up the atmosphere. It's going to be great.

Now that you mention it, we just might...do you think we can still get a room at so late a date? We always stay at the AKL, but any Deluxe will do. Anyone try and reserve a room lately?

We are going to the MK, well we are going to see how things go it will definately be a long day, if it is too stressful we will probably go back to POP and watch what fireworks we can see from Epcot.

We will be at POFQ and then head to MGM for NYE. Then on New Years Day its off to SSR for a week. Can't wait!

We will be down in WDW for NYE and we have reservations for Teppenyaki for dinner. We have spent the last 6 NYE's in Epcot and it is packed. I am trying to talk the family into going over to MGM after dinner this year for something different but they are creatures of habit and don't want to go any other park.

A few years ago it rained the whole night and it turned out to be our best NYE ever because we were just soaked and the crowds really thinned out after the early fireworks.

We have ADR's at Hollywood Brown Derby and will then spend NYE in MGM.

My mom & I will be in MGM on New Year's Eve.

We will be at Epcot for NYE. Le Cellier for lunch and Biergarten for supper. We don't know what to expect but hope to "go with the flow" and not stress out too much. We fly home the next day. Seemed like a good idea at the time!!

We are and we cant wait!! we will be at the cirque du soleil show at downtown disney that night

We'll be there for the first time...have been all around NYE, but never ON NYE..Probably at Epcot as that is our favorite park, but a little worried about the crowds and closing the park, so we'll see..

Tips for New Years Eve:

It will be packed and they will close the gates. Pick the park you want to be at midnight and don't leave. The attendants at the gates will tell you that if you leave, you probably won't get back in.

They film the Midnight Celebration for ABC TV around 8 pm on Main Street. You can pretend it is midnight and it will get shown on the Dick Clark New Year's Eve show. If you go back to your room before 12, you can watch yourself on TV.

Free hats and whistles etc were given out at POTC.

You will never see the MK as crowded as you will on NYE.

We will be there - we are thinking of spending the afternoon touring the hotels and then going the opposite direction from everyone else. Over to FW for dinner, campfire and a movie, then on to the Boardwalk for ice cream. The excessive crowds are intimidating to us and our family decided that this was more our speed.

My Children have no Idea that we are going and It is tough keeping it a secret but so far we have only had minor bumps in the road..

DD and I will be having an early dinner at Le Cellier. We will stay for awhile and then head home. I really don't like being on the road late on NYE. We can see Wishes from our house, so we will do the midnight thing from home.

This will be our 4th consecutive NYE staying at the Dolphin and going to Epcot. We are going with friends, getting babysitting for the kids and having late dinner at Chefs de France. Can't wait!
