Who is going to WDW for New Years Eve?

We'll be there for the first time...have been all around NYE, but never ON NYE..Probably at Epcot as that is our favorite park, but a little worried about the crowds and closing the park, so we'll see..

I am worried about the crowds too.

I guess Epcot is the best place to see fireworks. :Pinkbounc

I'll be there, probably at Epcot. The crowds sound kinda bad, but as long as there's enough room to breathe and move a little bit I think we'll be ok. I'm staying at AKL from Dec 26th to Jan 1st.

We'll be at Epcot! First time in WDW at the holidays, can't wait!!! :goodvibes

The big day to tell the kids has come and we are doing the great countdown..

4 days untill we leave for WDW and only 6 days untill NYE in WDW and 8 untill DCL...

I LOVE WDW...

THANK YOU MOM AND DAD... WE LOVE YOU

I disagree. I work @ MK....TODAY WAS CHRISTMAS...IT WAS ABSOLUTE HELL ON EARTH. Power outage....for the entire park. OF COURSE THUNDER MOUNTAIN WAS THE LASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSST RIDE FIXED...So we were yelled @ cussed out, and everything else in the I WANNA GO TO MK LIKE THE REST OF THE PLANET AND COMPLAIN ABOUT THE LINES BOOK. Merry Christmas oh joyful Disney Guests. Being friendly to cast members is never a part of the plan. Folks today were just plain evil, inconsiderate, and unbearable...ON CHRISTMAS. The next time that you go to the magic kingdom, show some love for the disney cast...for our low pay and patience to smile even when being yelled @ for no reason. HAPPY HOLIDAYS! HMMPH....

We will be there....first time.....MGM Studios with dinner ressies at Prime Time Cafe....we cant wait!

It's our first time for NYE. We'll be at Epcot, then walking back to our room at the Swan. That's if the kids (and us parents) make it that long!

This is our first New Year's at the parks. Last year we were on the Magic and it was a fantastic time. We have no idea how the parks or resorts celebrate the night. Do people only go to the parks or do the resorts also hold parties? On the ship there were parties everywhere. What should we expect from the parks (resorts) for a celebration? On the ship they handed out hats, horns and free champagne for the adults and free pop (soda) for the children. Kathy

We will be going to NYE 2006/2007 and are looking forward to reading everyone's trip reports. Have a wonderful time.

Thanks! I will be doing a live report... Only 5 days now... Oh wait.. it's MOnday now.. Only 4 more work days!! YAY!!! :)

Wanted to be there for New Years Eve.. Can't find a room.. Still might go and just stay off property, as we want to go to Jelly Rolls.

We'll be there (I hope) we're planning on going to MGM after DH gets off work at 6 pm. Earlier if I can get someone to go with me and help with MJ....

Another local that will do the midnight "thing" at home. I doubt we will hit the parks at all on NYE, but will probably go somewhere bright and early on New Year's Day. My DD8 does not always make it that late, and I don't want to have an unhappy child! That's been our "tradition" since we moved here. We normally have fireworks right in the circle in front of our home. My neighbor in the past has done his own fireworks display.... quite something to see!!! There is some sort of law that they can get a permit for them - scaring away nuisance wildlife or something...... it was all new to me being from PA!!!!

I hope everyone enjoys their evening! I would love to do it one year!!!!
