Who is going in august/when/where

Hi everyone! :wave2:

I am looking into going to DLR the last week of August. Does anyone have any suggestions for trip reports for me to look at? Preferably one with lots of pictures and maybe adults only. I've been before but usually I don't get to plan much and have a super tight budget so this time I hope to go all out :cool1:

Thanks for your input!

Love that pIc, Jack!

We haven't heard back from our potential Club 33 contact, so I'm deciding whether to do a WOC dining package at Carthay for the whole family-need to figure out how that works for kids meals-or just DH and I at Napa Rose.

Thank you, I am very blessed to have a virtual friend who sent me an invite a few years back, I am always amazed at the kindness of some people. Have a great trip and enjoy.

Jack

My friends and I will be there 8/10 - 8/12 and staying at PPH. Can't wait!

Jack, good luck to your daughter! How exciting! pixiedust:

I've enjoyed your pictures so much. I'm starting to make them my daily wallpaper. Thx!

Thanks for the compliments, I really enjoy taking the photo's so everyone can see. Alex took 4th last year and picked up about $3k for college, I do not understand why but she likes to perform. Windy again today.

Very blustery day here!

Planning on Goofy's Kitchen for my whole family...we haven't been there for a while and they think it will be a walk down Disney memory lane for them...

Youngest wants a Corn Dog from the Castle. He has waited a long time for it to be open again.

DD wants Gumbo in NOS.

We all want Churros...

I want Brennans tableside Banana Foster in DTD.

...the list always goes on!...

So far, subject to change, we have Goofy's Kitchen (dinner on arrival), Storyteller's (dinner), Carnation Cafe (lunch) and Carthay Circle (lunch-for WOC). Will also do Surf's Up with Mickey. Will make that one tomorrow.

I'd also like to to do River Belle Terrace and Flo's V8 Cafe (though not sure if it will just be insane). I'm figuring we won't be able to get a better idea of schedule until closer, once we know how Carsland and the other restaurants shake out.

Disney dining was able to run down the kids menu at Cathay circle -pasta in any sauce (cheese, butter, marinara), sloppy joe's, grilled chicken, and some other items. (I forget-I was just trying to pay attention to see if there was anything DS3 would eat) Dessert was a scoop of ice cream and other stuff which I forget. (I know, not super helpful) But, Disney dining has the info so you can ask.

wow that is early for a 9:00 show. I guess I am going to have to bring my blanket and find a place early on the day we want to see Fantasmic. Crazy!!!

I know most of us going in August so will not answer to this question but hoping maybe Jack will be able to answer this. Have you rode the new ride since it been redone? Before it was jerky and painful so thinking maybe with the new ride it will be better but heard ppl say it is worse? Anyone know?

Forgot to mention what ride it is...Matterhorn bobsled ride lol :)

I missed the opening by a couple of days, but most of the feedback on Mousewait has been negative. Sounds like the seating is tight and uncomfortable for many. I guess there is an issue with where you put your feet in the vehicle. Also people report that it's pretty rough and jerky. I've even heard complaints that the yeti is too loud.

I'm hoping the complaints are people just unhappy that they changed a classic ride.

There's a link in my signature from March 2010. It was just my boyfriend (now husband) and I. We went for 5 days.
